[00:00:00] How do I qualify a lead into a sale without sounding weird and salesy? This is a question that a wonderful client of mine asked me and her and I spoke about it, obviously, but I want to speak to you about it. In today’s episode, you are going to learn how to qualify lead without sounding weird and salesy the nervous system secrets behind having conversations around sales that feel easy and effortless.
[00:00:41] And like you’re chatting with old friends. And the next best step that you can take to make sure that all of your sales feels easy and abundant, and you’re proud of the way that you engage in business. Let’s go. Okay. So this is really, really simple, [00:01:00] but in practice it actually gets kind of difficult, right?
[00:01:02] So many of us, especially if you’re listening to this podcast, we start this idea of like, I want to have a business. I want to work online. And maybe it’s because you want more freedom or maybe it’s because you, um, you’re a mom or maybe it’s because you have like a big mission or like your mom, you want to work from home or you have a big mission, you know, just out there and you feel really driven and like to pursue your purpose, right?
[00:01:23] That is generally why most of us get into some sort of entrepreneurial venture. And We figure out that we need to learn sales. I need to actually, you know, learn how to make money and sell things. And that’s really awesome. But then a lot of, a lot of us do is we almost get filled with this need. Um, and this need to make money or this need to make sales either.
[00:01:50] Sometimes it’s because we actually need money. Um, sometimes it’s also because I’ve, I’ve noticed some people kind of get into this, uh, Mindset around [00:02:00] how many deals can you close? How many leads can you convert? And there’s almost this egoic wanting to achieve, wanting to strive, wanting to be the best that begins to infiltrate these sales conversations and drive these sales conversations.
[00:02:15] Our fear of failure comes up. Our fear of not being worthy enough comes up. Our trauma related to how, you know, when we were a kid, when we were a kid, we It, we used to get 99, like I was never this kid, but I know people were, you used to get like 98 out of a hundred. And then our parents would say, Hmm, but why didn’t you get a hundred?
[00:02:34] So that kind of trauma comes up and we’re trying to do the best in every single sales conversation because we have this underlying pattern of wanting to be the best and always be good and do everything perfect. Or maybe when you were a kid, you weren’t able to really vocalize your needs. It didn’t, you know, You weren’t really in a situation where you could get a lot of your needs met.
[00:02:53] So you created this, um, filter around the way that you communicate. And
[00:03:00] so now when you’re in sales conversations, you want to say something, but you, you can’t, you, you don’t know how it’s going to be perceived. So you overthink it and end up in your head and you’re all concentrated on yourself and you miss out on the organic opportunity of connection.
[00:03:13] That is sales. Sales is connection. So this is the nervous system science behind sales. Sales is connection. It is clarity. It is congruence.
[00:03:25] That’s the nervous system science behind effective sales. Sales that are not manipulative sales that are not, um, Based in the ego. Now, I’m not saying like, there are a lot of sales people out there who are using more manipulative and controlling tactics, um, and effectively making sales. However, you, my dear beloved embodied entrepreneur, you do not want to do that.
[00:03:49] You don’t like it when people do it to you and you have a bit of a spidey sense. You are quite attuned to, and you are aware in your body what it feels like when you go out of
[00:04:00] clarity, confluence, congruence, and confidence. When you go out of authenticity or alignment or heart centeredness, whatever it is that you use to call that feeling sense, and you don’t want to be that type of salesperson.
[00:04:12] I also believe, and this is just a personal opinion, that as we kind of develop and As a human race, we’re becoming more sensitive to these covert, uh, insidious, icky sales tactic things. I think we’re becoming more aware of how people manipulate others and our bodies are becoming more attuned to that.
[00:04:37] And not wanting to be around that type of thing at the same time, you know, I work in the coaching industry. You might too. Maybe you don’t. I think our industry has lost a lot of trust and the online industries have lost a lot of trust. We’ve gone through a change in the industry where people kind of bought into this idea of something.
[00:04:55] And a lot of people sold things that it. They ended up backing out of, or they didn’t
[00:05:00] deliver on, or it was just really not so great practices. And so I think the industry has lost a lot of trust and we as business owners and as entrepreneurs need to learn how to create trust within our audience. And the way that we do that is through the nervous system because at the end of the day, that primal body is what creates trust and what helps people make empowered decisions so that they can work with you or not.
[00:05:26] The, the answer to how to qualify leads without sounding weird and salesy is to stop trying to qualify leads. You sound weird and salesy because you’re trying to qualify leads, because you’re trying to get somebody to do something. You’re stepping into that part of you that wants to control, in the nervous system language, we might call this kind of the fight.
[00:05:46] Potter that like wants to kind of like go out there and like do a thing in order to create a result that they tend to have more of that fighty energy. Um, it could even be a phone. Maybe we’re going deeper down into that freeze nervous system state where we’re like, Oh, like what can I
[00:06:00] do to, to, to like to help you get in this thing?
[00:06:02] Like how can I, how can I lower the price or, um, hey, like the inclusions, the inclusions could be something else. And, uh, you know, it could be like this if, if you, if that was to help you get in there. Um, What we’re trying to do is we’re trying to use a human being to meet a need of ours, which is either, which is to make a sale.
[00:06:20] Uh, we don’t use human beings to, to meet our needs unless they overtly agree to do so, but in business, the human beings are not there to meet your needs. No, you show up to business needing nothing. And being of service and being of value creation and being able to help people solve the problems. That’s why we’re in business.
[00:06:43] Yeah. We’re going to make sure your needs are going to be met. Yes. That is self love one on one that is nervousness regulation one on one, but we don’t show up to these conversations trying to manipulate somebody else into a response so that you can get a need met. That’s gross.
[00:07:00] That’s why it feels icky and salesy.
[00:07:02] So what we need to do is we need to learn this skill. This is a skill. Um, we need to learn how to be with energy inside of the body, to be with sensation inside of the body, and to be able to perhaps hold the parts of you that are concerned about that. Um, even if it is just paying rent or that are concerned about if you’re going to, um, look back on yourself and feel like a failure at the end of the day, or that are concerned about what it might be like to not have people inside of your offering or what it might be like to have to tell somebody like that shame that we feel is shame.
[00:07:34] It’s shame. At the end of the day, it’s shame. Shame comes up and says, Oh, you’re not good at this. Ooh. What will people say? It’s shame. And it activates those parts of you that want to manipulate other people. And so what we need to learn to do is to be with that shame, release that shame, remove that shame, and also just be with the ability to kind of hold that activation in the body if it happens.
[00:07:56] And, and then, and then engage in [00:08:00] a conversation with that other individual, the other human, other soul. And. Um, with clarity about what it is that you can do, what it is that you can help for and ask questions that help them get clarity about what they need with confidence in what it is that you can do and what it is that you can help them with and confidence in your pricing and confidence in the way that you engage with them.
[00:08:24] This is like a body. posture, a voice, uh, and then congruence, congruence between what you are saying to them, what you believe in your mind and what your nervous system is saying and congruence with kind of what it is that they need. Is it incongruent? Is it incongruence? Does it align with what you’re really good at helping?
[00:08:44] And if it does, then we have a very natural conversation around, okay, great. So now we’re clear on what it is that you need. We’re confident that I’m the best person to help you get there. Okay. The congruent action would be for you to purchase my program. This is how much money it costs. And that price needs to [00:09:00] make sense with your nervous system, um, with value, market value, et cetera.
[00:09:06] That’s how we do it. To recap, we’re holding in the body, we’re releasing Like the sensation, we’re releasing shame so that we can do that. And we’re showing up with clarity, confidence, and congruence. This isn’t a skill that I can teach you in a quick little podcast, even though I would love that God, I would love that so much.
[00:09:22] I’m trying really hard to teach this stuff in an accessible way. So I would love that, but I can’t. It is out of, it’s out of my ability. It’s out of the medium. [00:00:00] This podcast is going to break down your offer creation and how you’re going to bring in income and it’s going to help your overwhelm.
[00:00:06] You’re going to understand how 10 minutes of coaching will help you a few thousands of dollars. My personal backstory of how I’ve managed time As an entrepreneur who’s been having a kind of like fingers in a little pots for a lot of years and how to become as magnetic as other creatures appear to be with your own offer.
[00:00:44] I’m gonna give you a little bit of backstory first I used to have a lot of thoughts about my business. I used to think about it a lot and I used to take all of those thoughts at face value. I would binge podcasts. And I would, I had this feeling of like desperately wanting to acquire the correct
[00:01:00] skill or the correct certification or framework or understanding to increase my income.
[00:01:06] And I would marvel at how other coaches or other entrepreneurs seem to have it all together. And I would just think that they’d found some like secret success that I seem to be something towards. And then. I would have marketing in my face telling me, Oh, you found the secret. There’s this secret that you’re missing in life.
[00:01:27] Buy this program, get this secret, right? And Google ads were just filled. At the same time, I had this inner good girl inside and this perfectionist that I insisted wasn’t a perfectionist. Turns out, she was. I am. And these parts of me were always looking for somebody else to pat me on the back and say, oh yeah, good job.
[00:01:47] So I spent a lot of nights laying in bed, eyes open, heart racing, worrying that I had made some wrong decision somewhere, and that I might need to apply for jobs in the morning. At the same time,
[00:02:00] my mom was Hey! Have you considered getting a contracting job? She was completely unaware of what my financial situation was and the fact that I was actually doing quite well despite my anxiety, but it was triggering nonetheless.
[00:02:13] So I had a lot of sales complications and no matter how they went, my heart would race as I would try to make sure that I never did anything wrong or missed out on any opportunities. I was already burnt out. As you guys know, I was recovering from complex PTSD from some pretty traumatic incidents. I Um, earlier on, and I knew that an office job wasn’t for me, right?
[00:02:35] My heart was tired and life hadn’t really been easy for me up until then. So that’s it. It felt like I spent forever, but I just spent so much time oscillating between spending all my free time learning how other people did sales and marketing and business and then taking long days off and avoiding all income producing tasks in the business because I was, in my mind, like investing in my
[00:03:00] energy and, and, and, you know, and like nourishing my nervous system and both are helpful at the right time.
[00:03:06] Right. But I was in this extreme and it was, It’s not helping me. So I was having all these thoughts. One of the thoughts was I don’t have enough time and I was believing it and I was finding all this evidence as to why this business would never work the way that it needed to be. And I would, I would just believe it.
[00:03:25] I was like, I don’t have enough time. That’s it. I don’t have enough time because I’m busy and because I’m doing this and I have this and I have this. And I think the honest truth isn’t necessarily whether I have enough time or whether I do have enough time. Um, I think that yes. Two things can be true.
[00:03:40] You can be busy and yes, you can have enough time because I don’t have enough time. That thought or perhaps even that reality isn’t actually a reason not to do something even though your mind might tell you that it is.
[00:04:00] It is an invitation into creativity. That thought, I don’t have enough time or even I’m too tired, I’ve done something wrong or this won’t work for is a gift.
[00:04:16] It’s not a truth. It’s an invitation into creativity. Most, actually my most successful income months have always occurred when I’m short on time because I focus and I get creative about what needs to get done. In fact, my most successful clients are often limited by time because we focus and we get creative.
[00:04:39] And if that feels impossible, my dear listener, that’s okay. If you want to rip your headphones out and you’re upset with me at the moment because I’m challenging the fact that maybe yes, you do have enough time. That’s okay. It’s almost to be expected. Because the ability to see how a lack of time can in fact serve you is a
[00:05:00] skill that is developed and sustained in a healthy way through a healthy and regulated and resilient nervous system.
[00:05:07] We are not talking about hustling energy. We are not talking about desperation. We are talking about resilience, embodiment, confidence. Clarity, creativity. This skill is what’s going to help you spend more time laughing at the birds in your window. Uh, and like perfecting your pizza dough recipe while you hang out with your friends.
[00:05:27] This skill is what is going to help you
[00:05:32] be that embodied entrepreneur that you’ve always wanted to be. So here’s an example of how we’re going to use this skill. Here’s how you and I would sit in front of each other right now. We would take 10 minutes to map out of your offer.
[00:05:42] Now you don’t have to follow this step by step. I’m going to be taking you through it inside of unapologetic offer creation, which is a free three day live event. [00:05:56] The very first thing we’re going to do is we’re going to remove all the stickiness and all the
[00:06:00] shame and all the judgments that are making you feel heavy, making you feel like you’ve done something wrong, making you feel like there’s something that you’re not getting, something that you’re missing, um, something that you just haven’t quite, you’re not smart enough, or there should be something different.
[00:06:13] We’re going to take all of that and using an embodiment practice, we’re going to shift it so that you are now in confidence, clarity, and creativity. Then we are going to identify how Your client or yeah, the person that you’d like to serve or provide a product for is feeling point A, what they need, what problems they need to solve, and then we’re going to identify their point B.
[00:06:37] So what would happen after they finish working with you? What are you particularly able to support them with? Third step is we’re going to ask you and your expert mind how, what’s the best way that they can get there. And remember that we are without shame and we are without stickiness and we are without self doubt and we are without judgment.
[00:06:56] So when you answer these things, you’re going to be answering them from a different
[00:07:00] perspective from where you are at the moment. So it’s going to be a different felt embodied experience. You’re going to have different thoughts. Then we’re going to use your body based wisdom. And we’re going to use a little bit of discernment and understanding of the current market to pick a price that you feel really good about.
[00:07:14] And your clients also feel really, really good about, and they can say, yeah, this makes sense. It makes sense to invest in this, in this economy, in the way that I’m feeling right now, you’ll be learning this skill in unapologetic offer creation, where you’ll use your innate body based intelligence to create opportunities.

[00:00:00] How do I build a million dollar business if I’m not online all day? Until she began working with me. In today’s podcast episode, you are going to learn how my client, Holly, used one embodiment practice. To decide if she wanted to be online in her business or offline.
[00:00:33] The nervous system tricks to quit worrying about the Instagram algorithm and depending on all external circumstances for your success. And how to feel confident inside of your own decision making process and be able to navigate the ins and outs of the online world versus the offline world. [00:01:05] Let’s go. So when Holly and I met, she had just emerged from a really deep trauma healing journey. And she was noticing that every time she logged into her laptop for work, her body recoiled. I don’t know, my dear listener, if you have experienced something like this. I certainly have. I think that, you know, after COVID some of us, uh, I don’t know, I feel like most of us kind of want a little bit of like offline ness.
[00:01:32] You know, because when you get really attuned to your nervous system, you begin to notice that there’s like a dysregulation that can happen when you’re connected to screens and things, your body kind of moves forward. Yet, and you might be a sensitive person like me, and you notice these things, yet at the same time, you might be similar to me, um, and you like the freedom and expansion and kind of, um, The online world creates such a opportunity for profitability
[00:02:00] that sometimes in person doesn’t create.
[00:02:01] The online world offers an ability to be more, it offers a bigger audience. Um, sometimes marketing can be easier and sometimes, you know, it’s great for, if you want to be location independent, or if you’re like me, Really sensitive to being in other people’s energy and don’t really love doing in person stuff, but also do like to do in person stuff Anyway, Holly when we met could feel that dysregulation running through her body.
[00:02:29] She could feel that when she connected to Electronics she would get kind of scattered and she began having a lot of migraines What we knew when we started working together was that she wanted to experience these breathing living humans in front of her She wanted to see their eyes. She wanted to feel her energy Um, she wanted to sit next to roommates that make noise while she hangs podcasts.
[00:02:50] I don’t know if you guys heard that, probably not. Um, she wanted to be able to say hello to her clients with a good, with a hug, you know. She wanted to stop worrying about
[00:03:00] Instagram algorithms. And there was this deep, deep, deep desire laying inside of her that probably felt like, that felt, that felt scary to admit.
[00:03:10] Because she would wonder. How do I build a million dollar business if I’m not online all day? Until she began working with me. Holly and I used one embodiment practice, and on the other side of it, she’s been able to use her online business to support her offline business and vice versa. She feels bold and exhilarated, free and supported as her business has kept thriving.
[00:03:32] She has been creating a new community in her area that supports her business and supports her full expression as an individual. She has that freedom inside of the way that she moves within her community. She has switched the taps and clips of her laptop keys for the warmth of human presence and she feels good about this.
[00:03:48] She hasn’t sacrificed her revenue. She spends each day feeling calm and focused and her migraines are a distant memory. She’s quit worrying about the Instagram algorithm and no longer [00:04:00] depends on any external circumstances that she cannot control for her feeling of success. We didn’t do this through mindset work.
[00:04:07] We didn’t do this through through trying to convince. I think a lot of the time we’re faced with these limitations and some of you guys, um, are kind of in that resistance. And this is the one thing that I want you to really take away from this episode. When you are trying to convince yourself that something isn’t true, when you’re trying to convince yourself that, oh, I can be successful even though I don’t have Uh, even though there’s only three people watching my Instagram stories, or I can be successful even though I am doing something that I don’t really like, you’re, you’re playing into that resistance more, you’re meeting yourself in the resistance because you’re focusing on it so much, you’re paying, you’re, you’re bringing all of your awareness to it, it’s going to keep growing.
[00:04:46] So one of the things that I’m here to teach you to do is to do the opposite, to be able to kind of not bypass that resistance, but rise above and around it, like truly meet it where it is with such benevolent
[00:05:00] compassion and non judgement ness, if that’s a word, so that we can go beyond it, so that we can go past it, so that you can create an offer that you love selling online or offline, so that you can feel that you’re not kind of Beholden to algorithms or click rates or did my emails go into somebody’s spam box?

Yeah, I was gonna frame that with them as well, that this You know, like, many, many things are, can be very sensitive when we get into, like, some of the more minutiae topics that we support clients with, you know, things like, for me, comes up with, like, mindset, like, I know for you, like, anxiety and trauma, so, like, I’m so witnessing everybody who’s tuning in, who’s gonna hold space for not only this conversation, but maybe hold space for themselves.
[00:01:44] We’ll start at the beginning. So for me, I have like two examples of when shame showed up for me and my business. And I think now looking back, I can identify those things as being shame, but I think at the time it wasn’t like, that wasn’t a word that I would have put to that.[00:02:00]
[00:02:00] So in the beginning, when shame showed up for me was the creation of a business in and of itself. And being an entrepreneur, I used to believe that I wasn’t smart enough. Like that was an actual story that I told myself that like, you’re not actually smart enough to own a business. Like sure. I’m great at this coaching thing and sure.
[00:02:13] I’m great at holding space for people and sure. People tell me I’m wise beyond my years, but like Owning a business? I did not think I was smart enough. That’s so much so that I, yeah, that I wrote a post on this a few years ago that was like when I was walking across the stage to accept my master’s degree.
[00:02:27] Like when I started to unpack where that thought was coming from, I remember that moment where I was walking across the stage, um, getting a master’s degree, right? And I was like, yeah, you don’t deserve this. Like, you’re not smart enough for a master’s degree. As I was going to shake the hand of the person giving it to me.
[00:02:41] And so when I pulled back the layers, I identified that like, wow, you really, you haven’t thought you’re smart enough. Even when the evidence was saying like, You actually are and we totally don’t have to like quantify intelligence like getting a degree But just to put it into context of like I literally did not think that I was smart enough And so like obviously I moved through all of that and I have a [00:03:00] successful business now But that was the first time that like something actually Like that caused me pain and that was rooted in so much shame like showed up like now I can identify It’s like oh wow, like that was shame showing up Like yeah, you’re not wanting to share your thoughts and opinions and you know how you see things That was a little shame because you didn’t think you were smart enough Yeah.
[00:03:19] That’s where it first started. That’s a really interesting one that you’re sharing because I think this is, I think it’s tricky and it’s been tricky for me with selling shameless sales because there are so many little things that we have going behind our, going on in the background and we do not know that it is shame, but it is shame.
[00:03:39] And if we were to just address the shame, like I just got off a client call and she’s really struggling to, in the same ways that I struggle sometimes, to really understand like the revolutionary aspect of what it is that she’s created. And it’s like this disbelief. It’s like, Oh, I could be that intelligent.
[00:03:58] Yeah. Cause in the [00:04:00] background, it’s like, well, what I’ve created is just this little thing, like, it’s just a different way of seeing it. It’s like, no, what you’ve created is freaking amazing and revolutionary. And the reason you’re not seeing that is shame. Yes. Oh, revolution is such a good word for it. Will you please share with people what the revolutionary thing is?
[00:04:18] I need them to hear about it. I was trying to speak about my client, not me. Yeah, so everyone who is new here or hasn’t really been in my world a lot, the way that the revolutionary process that I have created is something called body based business. It’s in trademark at the moment. We’re getting it trademarked, which is really exciting.
[00:04:38] And it’s an entirely new way of creating Business plans is an entire new way of creating sales and marketing strategies. Yeah. What it is, we use 75 percent somatic coaching, somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, somatic inquiry, um, somatic work. And we use that and understanding your needs, whether they have [00:05:00] been influenced by trauma or neurodiversity or anything.
[00:05:03] We use all of that to create business strategy and business action. So that other 25 percent is how do I build my day to day business and how do I build my larger business based on the needs of my body and the feedback of my body. And there’s two ways to use it. You can kind of use it to create, build, build resilience and stress relief and anxiety relief to build a business.
[00:05:27] Yep. And you can also use it to increase. Creativity and intuition and innovation to, to bigger leader scaling things. Yeah, definitely. It works for both building and scaling. Yeah. I’m like, you know, for me who didn’t think I was smart enough to build a business to like me now, it was like stepping into a more leadership role and being like, oh my gosh, I am smart enough.
[00:05:50] Like. I, I can do and be all the things that I didn’t think I could even when I didn’t think I was smart enough to do so. Yeah. Thank you for sharing your revolutionary process with us. [00:06:00] Thanks. So now, okay, what are, so it came up in feeling like you’re not smart enough, you’re not good enough. You obviously went ahead and did it anyway.
[00:06:09] Yep. Which is great. Yeah. How else, how else did it show up? So I would say. That it showed up later on and building my business and the reason why I wanted you to share your revolutionary framework was like purposeful because it leads into this next point is that I realized that my work was bigger than me and that was a moment where I had this like, pause.
[00:06:29] That in many ways. Although I was doing the things and taking the action and showing up and coaching the clients and getting the result, I realized I was still playing a very small game in a sense of, like, I was in a very, and I still feel in many ways I am, in, like, a very tight cocoon. Like, there’s still so much for me to expand into, to create, like, intellectual property, a podcast, a book, being on a new platform.
[00:06:50] There’s still so many spaces for me to be, to expand my work. And so now the way that Shame, Has shown up and that I’d been working through was like this work is way bigger
[00:07:00] than you just being a coach because contrary to a lot of the information that we hear in the online space like I got into business for very like I guess what people would say objectively selfish reasons like I wanted more freedom.
[00:07:09] I wanted more time. I wanted more money I wanted to do something that felt good And then when I got into it and I built the business I was like wait, this isn’t just about me This is about helping people literally change Their life, like in a very like literal way, because when you know how to stand up for yourself and advocate for yourself, we know how to step into your leadership when you’re going to make money, those things change your life.
[00:07:30] And so I had this moment, I would say maybe two years ago where I was like, Whoa, wait, like this mission is way bigger than just like Shantae wanting to experience freedom. It was like, I’m helping others create freedom and that ripple effect that we will never be able to be measured. It’s like the impact that just like bursts wide open and I was like, oh wait, I just want to retreat and go back into a cocoon.
[00:07:48] And so I’ve been like, no, like you have to continue to pull back like this is so much bigger than you. And so I don’t even really know like what that root shame thing could be. Although it’s like it is shame. It’s like a sense of like, [00:08:00] this is so much bigger than me. And so therefore I can’t continue to play into patterns that perpetuate like staying small, staying meek, not taking up space.
[00:08:08] Like the bigger thing is like. Helping people acknowledge and own their desire to make more money, which I think the reason they don’t is because of shame. Well, that’s what I was going to say. It’s so interesting because obviously everyone’s journey is really unique. But it’s because I feel like for you, the shame was, making it harder to see the larger vision and the larger mission, whereas for some people, especially the types of people I work with, their shame makes it really hard.
[00:08:36] Like, we’re great visionaries. We’re like, I’m going to change the world. But I feel so icky if I charge more than my peer. Yeah. And where I was just like, that was not a thing. But now you’re like, whoa, but changing the world. Like, could I actually be out there? Am I smart enough? Am I smart? Isn’t it interesting how it always comes back to that one thing?
[00:08:58] Yeah. Always. [00:09:00] Yeah. So I would say like, that has been the most recent, recent iteration of that shame continuing to come up. It’s like, all right, like I started it and I’m smart enough and I’m like, Oh, wait, like there’s more here. There’s a bigger mission here. And then when we add into the layer of like.
[00:09:15] I’m a business coach and I’m talking about money. Ooh, it just comes with a whole, a whole, uh, genre of other things that I feel like are navigated that are a lot of it’s based on Shane. That’s not just like mine. Like there’s so much shame that exists around people talking about money, owning money, whether or not to share income or like not to share income or to share income.
[00:09:34] And so it’s like layer by layer, like who am I in relation to all of that? And how do I not take on everybody else’s stuff to be rooted in like, regardless, I’m smart enough to do this and to help people in their stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Interesting.
[00:09:46] How does it impact your sales? Great question. Great limited question. I would say the first thing that changes is they no longer make themselves wrong in the decisions that they decide to make in relation to
[00:10:00] what it is they want to do. So in very more contextual terms, when it comes to pricing their offer, it’s not whether or not this way or that way is right.
[00:10:09] They will pick the thing and then they’ll just go ahead and do it and we’ll figure out how to clean it up on the back end. Or if it’s like the length of the offer or what’s included in the offer, specifically an offer creation, when they remove shame from that process, there is no overthinking the decision making.
[00:10:24] There is no over intellectualizing or like seeking out what other people are doing. They’re able to come back in and be like, well, what excites me? Like what feels good to me? Like what is true for me? And then go make the decision, and then go take the action. Whereas if there’s a lot of shame there, then there’s more just like layers to pull back, which like obviously isn’t a problem.
[00:10:40] That’s, you know, clearly why I have the job. But whenever we do remove that shame, it’s just quicker. Like they’re able to make decisions more quicker, they’re able to land things more quicker, and then they’re, of course, not able to sell. And a way that’s truly aligned with them. And of course that helps them make more money.
[00:10:55] I think like the online space makes it seem as though we have to do things that we like
[00:11:00] literally don’t want to do. And I’m not saying in a sense of like, like you have to show up, you have to create content, you have to ask for the sale and extend the invitation, but like you don’t have to do it in a way that you don’t agree with.
[00:11:10] Right. Yeah. And so when we remove shame from the sales process, they’re like, okay, what’s my way. And then you’re more excited to go show up and then you’re excited to go do it more and more often. So I would say that is like the main thing that I see happen with clients when they remove shame. And the offer creation and sales process.
[00:11:26] Yeah. I’m trying to think if there’s another layer there. I have another example, though, if we can think about, like, pricing, because I feel like my brain keeps wanting to go to, like, money and pricing. We can think about, yeah, pricing in the conversation. I think there’s, like, two things. Number one, they’re almost, like, ashamed of what they want to price.
[00:11:46] So, like, can I charge as much as, like, my peers or more than my peers? Or number two, they almost want to hide their price. Which then like can cause like a whole bunch of like different things on the back end of that to their audience. And I don’t think there’s a right or wrong
[00:12:00] way to go about it, to be clear.
[00:12:01] But I do think those are two examples of like, If there’s shame and you’re making decisions based on that, then, like, no matter what you decide, it won’t feel good. Like, you won’t make yourself right for the fact that you, you know, don’t want to share your price, or you won’t make yourself right for the fact that you want to charge more than, you know, your peers or your colleagues.
[00:12:17] Like, you’re always making yourself wrong in the process, and, like, if, if you don’t clean that part up, the shame part up, then, like, You’re just going to constantly make yourself wrong and nothing’s going to feel good at all. And you’re not going to make any sales, right? I think that’s where it comes back for me.
[00:12:29] It’s, it’s, it’s, it’s not about the money at all. But if I share my prices with this like undertone of, I mean, I know that you’re judging me. I, I, I, No, I don’t know that you’re judging me, but I know that you’re making a judgment. You’re making a judgment of, is this inside of my budget? Is this X, Y, Z? I was on a, like a colleague type call, they were asking me if I wanted to collaborate with them.
[00:12:52] Yeah. And she goes, yeah, what are, what is your, what are your prices? And I shared with my prices. And it was just that [00:13:00] little moment and I was like, Oh, how curious she’s getting to know me by asking what my office suite is like. Yeah. I guess that makes sense. It’s fine. I’m happy to share, but it was this weird, it’s like, we all acknowledge that we’re all making judgments when we talk about money, we’re all comparing.
[00:13:18] And, but if I go in with this feeling of like, Ooh, you’re comparing me now. All of our energy is. Like poof down. Yeah. Into talking it. Into feeling or into holding that ickiness. Yeah. Whereas if we could just share the number. Yeah. Just free . We might have, we might talk about how we can make the number happen.
[00:13:43] Yeah. And how we can move forward and how the person can receive that number and how the other person can pay that number, and how we can move on to the whole point of why we’re having the conversation, which is to get you towards a goal. Totally. And I think that brings up. Like a really good like segue point and to like, if we’re talking about selling, let’s talk about the way that people can sell, like specifically on a sales [00:14:00] call, for example.
[00:14:00] Like if there’s so much shame just around like owning your pricing or owning your offer, owning even the result that you deliver for your clients. Owning that it’s a sales call. Like let’s rewind. Let’s start at the beginning. Owning that it’s a sales call. Yeah. Because yeah, if we can’t clean up that part of it, then like you’re going to show up in a different space.
[00:14:21] You’re going to show up in a different energy. You’re going to show up in a different headspace. Yeah. And like, effectively, you’re not going to sell in the way that you want to. You’re going to start, like, overthinking, borrowing someone else’s advice or strategy that doesn’t align with you, and so then nine times out of ten, you’re not going to make the sale.
[00:14:35] Yeah. And not, like, making you wrong for that, but, like, when we claim Those things up, you go into those calls, calling them a sales call, positioning the sales call, like owning that sales call, like the boss that you are, because you’re changing lives with the service that you provide, and you walk away, regardless of if you made the sale or not, like excited.
[00:14:51] You’re like, I did that damn thing. Like, when’s the next one? Like, let’s keep doing this. And to like, I get the result that I want. And therefore change the life because the service changed the life, cetera, et
[00:15:00] cetera. Yeah. Which ends up being about the vision. Yeah. At the end of the day, we, at the end of the day, we keep coming back to the idea of like, when I clean up my shame, yeah, I make money.
[00:15:11] That’s good. Yeah. I actually do make money. Great. I love it. We love money, but I think for all of us, it’s because we are path decision people. So we make, we make, we have visions that occur, lives that change. Definitely, and even if in the beginning, I didn’t even realize the impact that I was going to, like, make, or even, I guess in maybe some way, like, I think in some way I did know, right?
[00:15:34] Like, I think objectively, I can’t say, I literally didn’t know, but maybe not to the magnitude that, like, And it kept being expressed to me. Because I’m sure you can relate to this too, when people are like, you’ve literally changed my life. I’m like, okay, yes, I know, but like, let’s like, integrate that for a minute.
[00:15:49] 100%, you’re like, cute. Like, you just brush it off, almost. But I think there might actually be a level of shame there as well, because it’s that, it’s like, I, I am so bought
[00:16:00] into this idea that I’m not that great of a person, that it would be foundationally, cool. Like, shattering for me to actually understand the impact that I’ve had on somebody, because it would go so against my own shame story.
[00:16:13] That’s so true. But that’s what I want. I want that impact. I want that shattering moment. That’s the reason that we’re doing any of it. Absolutely. Like, the vision, inevitably, I think if we think about something like Legacy, for example, like, You know, you’re in the process of, like, getting a book started, like, you have a podcast, like, you’re, you know, revolutionary process is trademark pending, like, those are legacy building things, and so I think that, like, it isn’t enough just to say, like, we’re in this for the money, like, the vision as visionaries, even if we don’t recognize it in the beginning, or if we’re working through shame to recognize it, like it’s legacy building way beyond, you know, the, the time that we’re going to spend doing this work, like it’s going to live on for, you know, for centuries, millennia to come in many different ways and many different like hearts, like our impact can’t be measured.
[00:16:59] So [00:17:00] like, Who knows what one coaching called it for a person, that they go create something that turns into a Nobel Prize. Like, my mind just goes to the most like, you know, not even crazy things, like it could totally happen in many ways if you think about it. Yeah. Um, and so it really is about vision, vision and legacy, because like, what is this going to lead to?
[00:17:16] And right. And I think if we can like root of like,
[00:17:22] I mean, like, who wouldn’t want to shack themselves open and do that work? But I always think about it as like, and maybe this is me just being more pessimistic about it or something. That’s okay. I don’t know. But I always think of, I’m also thinking about legacy because something with shameless sales since I started selling it that’s been really, you know, empowering for me to remember or to, like, to share has been the fact that being able to sell means that you have income and you need income in order to do your trauma healing, create a better relationship, like, to feel safe.
[00:17:54] Like, you actually, we need income and, okay, I’m speaking
[00:18:00] to, I know that you know this, listen, this is for you. Everyone, yes, but of course, share it. We can’t, we can’t have more of these conversations, enough. So. Even if that legacy isn’t like a book or a podcast or a Nobel Prize, what that legacy might be is like, for this period of my life, I am selling my coaching package.
[00:18:20] For this period of my life, I am selling my Reiki package. Yep. And that may change. Maybe I decide that I’m going to have a kid and I don’t want to do this type of thing and maybe what I sell or maybe the way that I speak about that is like when I go and get a job, I’m able to negotiate a higher pay or maybe what I sell is I’m able to, I’m able to have a better relationship with money and with sales and I’m able to get a better car and I’m able to look at my stocks in a different way.
[00:18:49] I’m able to bring that neutrality. And around money and around sales, even if it is just into like foundational life care things. [00:19:00] And then on top of that, that means that I feel safe, which means that I have better relationships with means that I have better. relationships with my kids and with the people around me and then with the barista.
[00:19:11] I was, it always, for me, it always comes back to the barista. I’m like, I want to be the person the barista is excited to see. Oh, I love that. Wait, I love that. It’s like, it’s so good. It’s so big. Totally. So, so minute. Yeah. And so important on both sides. I agree. I completely agree. Something that came up with me as you were, as you started, when you were naming the things that, you know, money gives you is.
[00:19:35] The same that I always talk about around like agency, like money and even going dialing it back, like being able to sell and even dialing it back, working through your shame in order to sell, in order to make money is to have full agency over your life. Because in the way in which the world operates, like money grants you opportunities, opportunities is what’s going to give you freedom and whatever way that looks like, whether it’s, I don’t know, the biggest, the big things that you can dream up or like the minute things that you’re like, it just feels so
[00:20:00] good that I can.
[00:20:00] You know, walk to the barista and get my little pastry every morning and get my coffee and like feel really good and like safe in my body. Like it doesn’t matter what it is, but I think like at the root of that, we don’t start at the shame to do the selling, to create the money, to create the agency, then like that entire process is going to fall apart.
[00:20:16] Like you’re never going to get to the next step if the shame isn’t looked at first. So it came up for me big is like that agency, like working through your shame gives you agency over your life. And that’s really. Yeah. Interesting for me to hear as well, you know, my background is in trauma therapy, and so the first thing that heals trauma is agency, because the first thing that creates trauma is lack of agency.
[00:20:38] We experience trauma because we do not have the agency, either that is like, it’s, we just do not have it for whatever reason to get ourselves out of the situation that is causing us harm. And we create this helplessness inside. And so really what the trauma healing path is, is just picking agency. And I think that’s also why so many people who have
[00:21:00] experienced trauma end up in entrepreneurship is because what we’re really looking for is a reminder every single fucking day.
[00:21:08] Yeah, every single day that we do have agency and we do have freedom and we’re not subject to the things that caused us pain in the past. So full, full, full circle. So good. I feel like I could bring it even more full circle because I feel like we’re both sharing like probably in many ways you can tell me this was true.
[00:21:29] Like I wouldn’t have been able to create like different frameworks and concepts and ways of thinking about things. If the root of it was like, I don’t think I’m smart enough, right? I wouldn’t have been able to do that if I didn’t work on the shame. And so kind of bringing that even more full circle, I’m sure you know, it’s like one of my foundational beliefs is that I usually say it in different ways.
[00:21:48] Let me see if I can tailor it more to like sales and selling is that your current circumstance doesn’t dictate where you’re going. Yeah. It doesn’t, it doesn’t dictate where you’re going. Like the, what you adopt in
[00:22:00] the moment and how you lead yourself in the moment is what does. And so I guess in terms of like shame and selling, it’s like, I don’t think it’s a one time thing.
[00:22:07] And I’m sure you can speak to this, like you’re selling shameless sells right now, but I think that it’s a continuous process and almost like if something in your experience right now and in our conversation, you’re recognizing like, Oh, that thing could be shame for me. Like, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you still aren’t going to get to where you’re going or create the results that you want.
[00:22:24] I think it works in tandem with both. So the full circle moment is like, your circumstances don’t create your results, right? Like that agency does. That’s something that like, I wouldn’t have been able to conceptualize if I didn’t work all my shame that I wasn’t smart enough. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and I think that’s a really nice place to kind of wrap it up too, because, listener, you have agency right now.
[00:22:47] Yeah. You actually do have agency. You can relate to your thoughts differently. You can relate to your emotions differently. You can create the sensations in your body differently. You can relate to your business differently. This can be something that you, This is a point where this can be something that you’ve listened
[00:23:00] to, or you were going for a walk, um, because you were bored and you wanted some stimuli in your ears, or it can be a moment that you choose agency and you choose change and you choose that the past is going to be in the past and the way that you relate to your entire business, your finances.

In the next seven minutes, you’re going to learn how niching creates a more sellable offer. Even if you don’t want to fit into a box, how do I niche without force claim to expertise that is now selling a specific offer that feels expansive and exactly what to do if the topic of niching makes you feel icky. The topic of niching used to fill me with a tightness in my chest and a tension in my jaw. For my client, Geri, it used to make her feel confused. She would kind of come to me and say, how can I possibly
[00:01:00] communicate all that I do and narrow it down?
[00:01:03] Listener, have you felt the same? Honestly, tell me if you felt the same, send me a message on Instagram. I want to know. Um, and honestly, I don’t believe in niching, but I do believe that if you are not specific about what you are an expert at, who you serve best and how you do it, then you’re probably not operating from a regulated, grounded, and confident nervous system.
[00:01:27] And as a result, your business will struggle to create sustainable income. As a maybe even larger result, your mental and physical health will have a toll. There will be a toll taken on your mental and physical health and on your relationships and on the way that you parent and on the way that your endocrine system works and all of these things.
[00:01:46] So I’m going to invite you today to let go of the ideal client templates that you’ve already been working on. I’m going to invite you to use the wisdom of your body and your nervous system and an endocrine system. Bodied
[00:02:00] sense of confidence to niche. That way we’re going to find a niche that is easy for you.
[00:02:06] That way we’re going to find the niche that is for you. The thing that you are very good at helping people with so that you can experience, first of all, less imposter syndrome. When I’m really clear about who I’m really good at helping with, how I get them and what I do not do, my imposter syndrome, it diminishes.
[00:02:26] Cause like considerably so that you can also experience this deep sense of clarity and confidence and Ease when you go to market, there’s no stress around marketing your stuff. You can Experience that famous moment of like invoice paid emails coming into your into your inbox You can look at your bank account Um, you can see that it’s steadily growing, you can experience people inviting you onto podcasts or
[00:03:00] expert panels, both online and in person events, and you can be that go to expert by your peers, having a nervous system.
[00:03:10] Approach to a niching. So having a grounded nervous system and then looking at who do I best serve? How do I do it? And what are my limitations? What is the scope of my practice helps you stop worrying about having to convert observers into clients because you know exactly what lead magnet to use. You know exactly what to say in your marketing.
[00:03:31] You’re able to save yourself time and energy and. You’re able to connect with the correct clients. You’re pulling them in through their value system, through your unique, specific problem. That is very clear that you confidently communicate that you will transparently communicate with your shame free nervous system.
[00:03:51] Because if you’ve been listening to the other episodes, we know that shame in your nervous system makes it very difficult to bring clients towards you and have sales.
[00:04:00] You don’t have to be salesy. When you have this embodied approach to niching, you don’t have to be pushy. You don’t have to be icky. And if you do, you don’t really need to learn all the tips and tricks of marketing, but if you do want to, it gets to be a fun little adventure and exploration, just a way to bring fun and creativity into your life, not something that you need to rely on to increase your income.
[00:04:22] And, and this is, this is personally my favorite and I’m recording this at the beginning of the month. So I’m just kind of in this space at energy, but the first of the month. You know, maybe for you in the past, or maybe now it definitely for me in the past, it used to feel like this dreaded thing. Like, Oh my God, I have to do that all over again.
[00:04:40] Now, when we come from this embodied space of creativity and confidence and flow, we have our niche, we know our market and we know our sales. The first of the month is so exciting. You wake up before your alarm because you’re. Get to do it again. You get to feel lightness and ease. You get to smile.
[00:04:57] They’re just your workplace becomes a place [00:05:00] of fun, of pleasure, of happiness. And you have to be that magnetic person to other people, which is really cool. So. Let’s start looking at, first of all, we’re going to do the body based business system, which is 75 percent somatic practices, nervous system regulation, and trauma healing.
[00:05:22] And then from that place, when you’re feeling that your nervous system feels confident, you feel clear. You feel ease in your body. There’s a sense of patience, but there’s a sense of courage and you have clarity. You can look and ask yourself, what is something that I’m really good at helping people with?
[00:05:47] What is kind of my unfair advantage? So what makes me, what am I uniquely qualified for? Who do I love helping? Like just try and say it out loud. Don’t try to be fancy about it. Just who do you love helping? Who do you
[00:06:00] love serving? What do you want to change in life?
[00:06:05] Who am I uniquely equipped to serve? What unique problem am I uniquely equipped to serve? And there may be a couple of them. And that’s okay. Especially if you’re anything like Jerry. She came to me and there was a couple of them. Uh, but when we look at that problem of there’s too many ideas here from a place of, I can work, I can make anything work.
[00:06:29] I just, and I make the right decision, which is what I’m going to teach you. That feeling of I can make anything work and I’m good at decision making. What we’re able to do is enter that space where nervous system intelligence, your somatic intelligence, the wisdom and intuition in your body meets strategic and profitable business.

[00:00:00] Did you know that your nervous system can help you pick your best I help statement. In the next seven minutes, you will use nervous system science to create an I help statement that sells. You will learn how Faith fixed her I help statement and double her lead leads, and you will easily be able to describe what it is that you do and who you serve.
[00:00:34] Let’s go I’m yet to fully establish an easy way in which to describe what it is that I do still working on the I help statement. I received this message from a client of mine. She’s been in some level of entrepreneurship in different businesses for years. She does not fit into a box. And so her I help statement has always felt kind of stumbly or constricting and confusing.
[00:00:56] She’s particularly struggled with kind of specifically who do I help and
[00:01:00] what actually is it that I’m helping them do it. And this made it a lot harder for her to connect with and share her work when she was at networking events. And this message came after a networking event and as a result, you know, because she couldn’t articulate clearly and concisely and with confidence.
[00:01:17] Who is it? Who it is. He serves and what it is that she does. She ended up writing to me at the beginning of our coaching container. Uh, I’m yet to develop a feeling of comfort to talk to people slash leads about my business, like they’re old friends, even if they are old friends, ha. Uh, as you guys, you may have heard me talk about how sales gets to be this thing where it feels like you’re talking with old friends and that’s really kind of what we’re here for.
[00:01:41] I’m making it feel very neutral, very easy. So another thing to know about faith and you might identify with this, uh, probably probably do if you’re here is that she is a powerhouse of an individual. She is creative. She is intelligent. She is intuitive. She is amazing at her job. But like
[00:02:00] most of us, she has.
[00:02:01] Tended to stumble around the things like the I help statement. Why is this? There are two reasons, uh, that you might be stumbling around your I help statement, reasons that Faith stumbled around her. I help statement and reasons that I’ve also stumbled around this statement. It’s pretty simple when you break it down and it looks like this.
[00:02:21] Number one, her body is sending her conflicting emotions, sensations, and thoughts about what she should. So, it’s concerned about being clear. It’s concerned about what others will think. It’s concerned about how to wrap up her work into something clear and concise. And it’s sending a lot of these different messages.
[00:02:39] And they’re laced with a desire to be creative. They’re relased with what will so and so think. They’re relased with. There was this one person who said that there were laced with, um, or I couldn’t say it that way, et cetera. They’re laced with a whole bunch of things. Or what if they think I’m salesy?
[00:02:55] What if they think I’m trying to sell to them all of this stuff? And so. Um,
[00:03:00] what she’s trying to do because, and this is reason number two, because she has these, all these conflicting emotions, sensations, and thoughts. So she might also be, she’s having, I articulated the thoughts. Some of the emotions might be confusion, um, frustration, embarrassment, um, fear, um, excitement, um, clarity, uh, clarity is not an emotion, excitement, um, yeah, like joy, contentedness.
[00:03:27] Maybe even disappointment and she’s probably having sensations such as pain in her chest or attention in her jaw or like a rumbly feeling in her tummy or a big rush of energy saying wow or a big. Downpour of energy that feels heavy. And there’s all this stuff going on. And so she’s having this internal experience.
[00:03:49] And then on top of that, she’s trying to marry her strategic brain, the part of her that can see bigger pictures that can see patterns that can see strategies that can see, and has studied all the [00:04:00] sales and the marketing, all that stuff. Um, Um, with the intelligence of her body and she’s still, she’s just still learning how to marry that strategic brain with all these sensations and then her intuition and all that.
[00:04:12] If that sounds like you, it’s definitely sounded like me at times. You are in the right place. Faith has a, she now has an I help statement. Her and I went through a two step practice that helped her create an I cell. I help statement that feels in her words, easy to sit with and feels very true in my body.
[00:04:36] I’m going to share with you the two step practice that we used. The two step practice that we use to create her easy to sit with and very true in her body, uh, is something that is built off of my body based business framework. This is 75 percent somatic support, trauma healing, nervous system regulation, and 25%.
[00:04:57] Business strategy. So the very [00:05:00] first thing that we did was we used a somatic, so somatic being body based practice. This include visualization, um, somatic inquiry, um, yeah, mostly somatic inquiry for this one and kind of an energetic practice as well to return to this sense of lightness, to return to this sense of ease, to return to the sense of confidence and trust in herself and also in others.
[00:05:24] Once we had that grounded inside of her nervous system, we were able to look at the problem of what’s why I help statement from a different place. And together we used our creative and analytical minds to craft this I help statement that is already attracting people who are aligned with her values and ready for her services.

[00:01:24] And so you oscillate between one number and another and then it’s 2 a. m. in the morning and you’re wide awake and you’re thinking how am I going to make this work and how are the numbers are going to add up and so then your mind goes thinking well maybe I need to change my title or make a website or maybe I need to do this other thing or maybe I need to change if there’s like a payment plan or I need to be more creative or have more sessions or something and you So finally, after you go through all of those things, you pick a number and you pick up, you pick a structure and a number and you’ve got it there and you bring it to the consultation call that you [00:02:00] have with your client and they end it with, yeah, thanks so much.
[00:02:03] I’m going to let you know.
[00:02:10] My whole body just like drops when I say that. So here’s what we’d prefer to fear experience, right? Here’s what we’re going to get to on the other side. You feel so confident in your pricing and your offer that you can skip all of the mental Olympics and you can have conversations. That feels so neutral and fun.

[00:03:09] I’ve presented you with the goal, the reality. Now we’re moving on to the solution. The solution is to create an offer aligned with your bodies. So your deepest subconscious desires, gifts, values, and hard no’s and limitations. Your hard no’s and limitations are just as important as your deepest desires, values and your greatest gifts.
[00:03:35] Because what we’re doing is we’re getting really, really. deep about what it is that your body actually desires and what it is actually not available for, not based on what your mind is telling you. We’re crafting an offer that you’re choosing a price that your body secretly doesn’t dislike. I remember I used to have, I used to have a certain price on an offer of mine and I didn’t really like it, but it was like, it was correct.
[00:03:59] [00:04:00] It was, and I just, and then I would sell it, but then I would like. I was like, why isn’t this selling? And it was like the correct price, right? Um, and it didn’t, it just didn’t feel good. I didn’t choose it. And so, I kind of looked away and I was like, you know what? After a couple of like sales calls, it just felt really like weird and off.
[00:04:23] I looked away and I said to the person who was co creating that offer with me and I was like, there’s just, I don’t feel like, I’m looking at this and like, I just don’t feel right about the price. Everything else was really good and my body is just like weird about the price, but I felt weird saying it.
[00:04:37] As soon as we listened to what my body was actually saying, um, and this is an advanced practice. It’s not necessarily as simple as like, Oh, I just, I felt this thing in my body. Therefore, X, Y, Zed, we really need to learn how to converse with the body and not take everything that the body and the mind says at face value.
[00:04:54] I’m going to say that again. We need to learn not to take everything that the body
[00:05:00] says at face value. When we learn. Make decisions with our body particularly as it relates to money Relationships aka sales and business we need to learn to do so from a deeper Understanding of what the body is saying because oftentimes when we do it from the surface level Understanding we get it wrong and we cause ourself more harm.
[00:05:30] I don’t want that for you. So when we Go deeper and we, we really understand we get to avoid the anxiety or the procrastination, right? When we’re taking it at surface level or we’re not even listening to the body at all We end up exhausted and we end up feeling burnt out and we feel like we’re like a bad person for selling or something When we create an offer that’s aligned with our body’s desires and limitations and and gifts
[00:06:00] You create an offer that you can share confidently without sounding needy, without frantic energy, um, without repelling clients.
[00:06:07] How we do this is we get into deep communion with understanding water.
[00:06:15] What is my body asking? And how can I remove all of the fear of listening to my body or, or mental fog that stops me from listening or inability to connect with my feelings? And how can I, how can I get to that, that deep, what’s the deepest desire underneath there and how it relates to pricing. And we have to move through a lot of icky stuff and shame around money or around being perceived or around serving or around being lazy or around wanting to work.
[00:06:44] We have to move a lot of the shame that we have around that in order to really reach in and understand what it is that the body desires. And then. What we also need to do is we need to understand that that this is, yes, it’s magnet, it’s magnetic and it’s
[00:07:00] going to pull people forward. But we also need to understand where that positions us inside of the market.
[00:07:04] And we need to understand what it is that our clients need and where they’re at. And so it’s this dance between understanding the market and what is profitable and appropriate in the market. And then kind of taking that information inside of your body and Um, using your curiosity, your awareness and your critical thinking, your creativity to align on a product structure and a price that just, that makes your body feel very at easing and quite neutral.
[00:07:33] Actually, a lot of people advocate for excitement and sometimes I do, but we, we usually want it to be kind of like, there’s a real value in neutrality so that when you, when you share that price. It doesn’t matter if you’re having an emotional high or emotional low day. It’s, it, you know, it’s a grounded price.
[00:07:52] Everyone feels good about it. You know, it makes sense. It makes sense, um, in you and it makes sense in the market
[00:08:00] so they can compare it with other products in the market and feel confident that they’re getting the best investment with you. It doesn’t mean that you need to be the cheapest or the most expensive.
[00:08:09] It doesn’t even mean that need. need to be in the middle. It just has to be congruent. It has to make sense. We spoke in episode number 87 about the value of congruence. So what we’re looking is for congruence inside of your body. This is how much I actually want to charge. This is how we want to structure it and then congruence within the market.
[00:08:29] This makes sense because of XYZ and I can clearly articulate the value. Of this product and the reason behind this pricing structure so that it’s clear for my consumers how this compares to their other options. That’s how we price your offer. And that is something that I can teach you when we sit and we do these practices and we sit with our spreadsheet and we sit with our numbers and then we bring it inside of the body.
