Work doesn’t have to cost all your energy

Stop the burnout-recovery-burnout cycle. Specialist: ADHD & CPTSD

Here's the problem:

AI has made work move 100x faster. Engineers punch out code in minutes. Market research happens overnight. Sales cycles that took months now take weeks.

But your nervous system runs on a much slower evolutionary process.

Which is why no matter how much you learn about yourself, or optimise your life, you’re still in burnout cycles that feel like force, frustration and exhaustion.

I spent 10 years teaching nervous system regulation—grounding techniques, trauma responses, the whole toolkit. I wrote a best-selling book on it.

Clients knew it all. They still showed up depleted.

So I built what was missing: real-time regulation for the pace you’re actually working at.

Start here:

Most of the people I work with are brilliant, thoughtful, and deeply capable.

But they don’t always feel that way on the inside.

They’re praised for holding it al, but quietly, they’re wondering how much longer they can keep going.

– Waking up already tired, with no appetite
– Procrastinating on simple tasks that used to be easy
– Avoiding messages, decisions, or meetings—not from laziness, but from total overload
– Doing the self-care… but still not feeling like yourself

These are among the many sneaky ways your body begins to say: “Not this way.”

Nervous system coaching for quiet burnout

This is support for the part of you that already understands your patterns, but still can’t live them consistently under pressure.

We work with:

  • the energy cost of over-functioning
  • decision fatigue and second-guessing
  • shutdown, avoidance, and “task freeze”
  • the loop of “I rest but I don’t recover”
  • rebuilding steadiness without forcing motivation

If work is costing you more energy than it should, it’s rarely a character problem. It’s usually a nervous system pattern shaped by pressure, responsibility, and learned over-efforting.

This work is not about fixing you. It’s about restoring choice, so you can work and decide from steadiness instead of fear, urgency, or collapse.

burnout signs in high-functioning women

This is for you if…

  • You’re capable, responsible, and emotionally aware, but it still “costs too much energy” to keep up.
  • You’ve done therapy or coaching before, yet you still feel off in your body.
  • You can name what’s happening, but you can’t reliably follow through.
  • You want a path that’s practical and nervous-system-safe, not performative.
  • You want support inside real constraints (workload, finances, time, family).

Not a fit if: you want hype, urgency, or someone to push you into drastic change.

Coaching That Doesn’t Require Meditation or Pushing Through

Choose your entry point

You’ve likely already done therapy.
You’ve journaled. You’ve regulated.
But something still feels unfinished.

Here’s how I can help:

If Structure Helps

A structured, time-bound reset for high-functioning burnout and decision fatigue. Best if you want a clear container you can follow without needing to process everything out loud.

If you want tailored support

Paced, attuned nervous system coaching for when your system loses choice under pressure. Best if you’re cycling through over-functioning, collapse, or shutdown and need support that adapts to you.

If you want to talk it through first

A short, grounded call to clarify fit and next steps.

FAQs

What does quiet burnout feel like?

Often you’re still performing, but you feel flat, easily overwhelmed, resentful, foggy, or like you can’t access your drive anymore. You can read more about symptoms here.

Why am I tired even after resting?

Because rest doesn’t always complete stress. If your nervous system stays braced (even subtly), your body can’t fully downshift into real recovery.

How do I choose between the 5-week program and 1:1?

If structure helps and you want a finite container, choose the 5-week. If you need pacing, attunement, or your system “takes over” under pressure, choose 1:1.

Testimonials

I’m proud that I’ve worked through burnout without retreating from work entirely, earned a promotion, and gained the confidence to craft my own path and freedom in my role.

Working with Sher has been transformative. I’ve learned to authentically tune into my nervous system and trust my body’s intuition rather than forcing myself into productivity methods built by other people for other people.

She’s guided me to recognize my blind spots and discover the parts of me that are already brave, helping me act from power and authenticity instead of the “should” mentality that was burning me out.

Most importantly, I feel like I’m leading my life rather than being subjected to it – becoming more myself and learning to respond to life instead of being all-or-nothing.

If you’re considering working with Sher but feeling unsure, try making the decision from your intuition and body rather than logic or fear.

Weigh up the “cost” of spinning your wheels for the next 6-12 months versus the best case outcome of working with her. Honestly? You’d be crazy not to give it a shot.”

Sukh - Product Commercialisation Leader

“If you’re looking for something truly bespoke (not a script, not a system, but support that meets you where you are) work with Sheridan.

She has a way of reflecting your blind spots with so much clarity and care that you can’t help but grow. It’s not always comfortable — and that’s the gift.

Sheridan blends intuitive insight with grounded, no-fluff guidance. She’ll call you forward with love, and help you learn to trust yourself more than any external ‘expert.'”

nervous system career and business coaching testimonial

Simran - Financial Advisor

“I was burned out, second-guessing everything — even considering going back to the job that broke me.

I was tired, unsure if I wanted to build something new or just retreat to what felt familiar, even if it wasn’t right.

Sheridan helped me slow down enough to actually hear what my body was saying, while gently guiding me toward possibilities I couldn’t yet see. Her questions landed. Her tools worked. And everything was paced in a way that honored what I needed.

Because of our work together, I gave myself space to travel, reconnect with what I truly wanted, and eventually stepped into a new role in tech that feels aligned with who I am now.

For the first time in a long while — at home in my own life again.”
