This is for anyone who's felt like I've done the things, I've got the credentials. I know I'm good at what I do, but why do I still feel like a fraud? Maybe you're not sure what's next, but you know that the version of success that you've been chasing doesn't quite feel right anymore. This is not a mindset flaw.
It's not a limiting belief. This is a nervous system response and there's nothing wrong with it. It's just what happens when your body has learned how to, uh, survive through other models of success. I'm sharing an excerpt of how I have. Expanded my body's capacity and my mind's capacity to think outside of the boxes and stories that I've been given to start considering and chasing that inner feeling that, that you and I both feel inside of.
Like there's something else, but, but what is it? And am I actually capable and could I possibly believe in myself? I am sharing a story and it's leading into a meditation that is 📍 actually going to be live on inside time and when you're listening to this, but this four minute little audio is where everything started, and it's probably the most important thing before you actually consider doing the meditation.
I found myself in a situation where I like went and achieved all the things that I wanted to achieve, and the past year, I guess couple of months has been kind of weird because I'm like,
I did it. Mm-hmm. What's next? Um, and that's been funny. And what's interesting is like when I first started, the way that I called this life into me was like before I used to. I used to visualize and feel safe doing the like, um, like having a, a group call or like, uh, having my book or like going and like speaking and like doing all of these things and spending less time on social media.
And like, I would like visualize and I would practice feeling it in my body and it would feel, uh, really, uh, foggy at first and it would feel kind of uncomfortable at first. And uh, then. I just kept leaning into this specific practice, and as I did this practice more and more, what happened is like, I was like, oh yeah, obviously, like these things started occurring over time.
I let go of the practice and that wasn't a problem. I was busy doing my life and then I've kind of found myself in this situation and I'm like, okay, so like what? Like what, what's next? Not in a bad way, just like I'm, I'm ready way. And I was finding myself in a similar situation of view of like, I couldn't even conceptualize.
That's what, what would I felt myself like stagnant. Like, it has to be this way because that's the way that other people do it. Because that's the should. It's, it doesn't, it's not what I want, but it's like that's what I'm was told to do. So like I just keep doing it. Right. Yeah. And I couldn't even conceptualize another pathway and then.
I returned back to the book actually and was like, okay, what were the things that I was doing then? Like it obviously worked. So like what were the things that I was doing? And this was one of those that I'd forgotten about. And so I was like, okay, why don't I just try it? Why don't I just like try the song and like see what would happen?
Where would I go? Um, and so I originally recorded it for myself of like, okay, like. Listen to this and practice feeling safe receiving the next thing because my body, just like everybody else's body, needs to feel inside of ourselves that it is possible and it is safe because we haven't seen it other, we haven't seen other people do it.
If you don't create something new safe in your body, you will just replicate all of this stuff that's already safe. Mm-hmm. Personally, I don't want that. I want something new. So make it safe in my body. There's a whole bunch of science around it, and that's what this meditation is.
So we just have to practice being there a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more, until it's safe here first, and then it's safe externally.
And then the other things come to us and we see, then we lock in that part of our, that is discipline and focus and intelligent and strategic. We lock in and we say, because this path is safe and it's actually safer than the other path. Because in the other path I self betray in the other path, I have really weird hours that aren't cohesive to who I am.
Mm-hmm. Because it is safer now my whole body is oriented towards making it happen. I lock in all of my parts and that opens up how everyone else can support me in that vision.
📍 If you felt something shift this landed, you felt something softened or just get named in a way that it hadn't before. You are not stuck. Your body needs more time and space and intentionality to feel safe at this level of power, visibility, and ease. And that's what the practice, the future self visualization for nervous system safety or whatever I end up calling it, um, is now live on insight timer.
