[00:00:00] Five years ago, I was diagnosed with complex PTSD and I was working 12 hours a day, running all over the city, trying to build my yoga business. Today I spend weekday afternoons at the beach or in the forest, crying tears of happiness, followed by a week of connection to the work that I once only had a vision bought off.

[00:00:19] This week, I supported two clients through their fears of taking action. They felt like no one was going to invest in their new offer. They felt like doing marketing was a waste of time. They felt like if they got another ghosted sales call that they were going to shut everything down.

[00:00:37] In other words, they were uncertain that everything was going to work. So they stayed stuck in the fear rather than taking action anyway, until I coached them inside a body based business. And as a result, this seeking clarity leaves us overcharged with energy and we can slip into a full on nervous system collapse that sends clarity further away.

[00:01:26] Numerous ways to know if this has happened to you is if you oscillate between procrastination, scrolling, journaling or planning or making yourself be productive. Or talking things over with anyone who will listen before sharing a post or making a decision about your business or your schedule or thinking that if you plan, organize and perfect it all, then you’ll avoid being wrong and you’ll avoid disappointment and you’ll avoid hurt or at least You’ll tell yourself that you will, and when you were in this nervous system state,

[00:02:00] any action that you want to take in business, it feels like a tumultuous task.

[00:02:05] Every action seems like it will lead to pain or heartbreak or burnout or embarrassment. You logically know that sending that email isn’t a literal threat and yet your body perceives it as one, which is. Furthering your freeze and don’t do anything mechanism for me in five years of taking often uncomfortable and scary action building my business while healing my own trauma, trauma and those of many others.

[00:02:35] I’ve learned things about relationships, money and myself that most people do not learn until their fifties. I have

[00:02:49] debunked this notion that clarity isn’t required and what I have learned has emphasized the idea, what I have learned has [00:03:00] emphasized the fact that notion, what I have learned has emphasized the fact that clarity is not required in order to start taking action. What is required to start taking action is a nervous system that can hold it.

[00:03:17] And by creating a nervous system that can hold action, I have gained so much confidence that it leaks into every little interaction in my life. I’ve gained a self of power, a sense of power and clarity that I would never have been able to access otherwise. What a gift.
