[00:00:00] Current information around anxiety around money completely falls short because it misses this one thing. It’s not about healing or understanding. It’s about discerning the difference between incongruence and a fear response.

[00:00:14] in today’s episode, you’re going to learn the number one tool, compass, perspective, and understanding that all anxious and smart entrepreneurs and industry leaders have that helps them make more money with more ease. You’re going to skip months of diving in and understanding your triggers, and you’re going to.

[00:00:32] be able to kind of fast track your way to understanding what your body is telling you and when you need to push forward and make that decision based on that tingling inside of your chest versus when you need to go in, understand that trigger, find safety and do the inner work before you take action on the outer work.

[00:00:53] We’re going to be following along with a client, case study of mine. We’re going to be following along with a story of a client that I recently had. [00:01:00]And the episode is sponsored by Financially Fierce, which is my group program that will help you hold, receive, and circulate more money with more ease so that you can maintain, so that you can be an entrepreneur who is creative and calm and, and cool, calm and collected, resilient, creative, innovative, for a really long time.

[00:01:21] And. It’s also sponsored by how does the assembly make money as an entrepreneur, which is the free embodiment practice that gives you guys a little bit of a sneak peek, a little bit of a snippet into what we do inside of financially fast, the great program. So let’s be in, okay. So we’re kind of following through the story of what we’re doing.

[00:01:40] My client, I’m going to call her Sophie. Her name isn’t Sophie, but I care about her anonymity. Sophie came to me because she was noticing that she was having a lot of all of the nervous system response around money inside of her business and inside of her personal finances as well.

[00:01:56] So she noticed that whenever she started to think [00:02:00] about money, she would feel this kind of tension in her chest and a swelling in her belly, but she didn’t really. Feel it that often. It only happened when she got quiet enough, but she didn’t do that very often because she liked to keep herself busy. She was always feeling like she was really scattered and she was always running around and it felt like she was always kind of putting out fires.

[00:02:21] And of course, you know, she’s an entrepreneur, so there’s always fires to put out if you want there to be fires to put out. She just felt really anxious all of the time and like she couldn’t really get ahead. She wanted to feel calm. She wanted to feel. Save She wanted to feel supported. She wanted her work to be sustainable.

[00:02:37] What’s interesting to know is that even when we started working together in that does final decision around, okay, like am I going to put down the deposit to start working with Sheridan? She went back and forth a lot, and it was really difficult for her. And such a beautiful moment for us in both because I feel like in that moment, her and I were able to find like a deeper [00:03:00]relationship, which then helped us work together for the next six months.

[00:03:03] But she went back and forth a lot because she had this voice telling her, Oh no, like you can do it yourself. You don’t make an investment, like put that money somewhere else. But she also had this internal voice. Pull of, okay, I know that there’s something here for me. I can’t totally explain it. But then she’d go back into the voice of like, yeah, but remember that one time when you put money into something and like, it didn’t work, you didn’t get the results that you wanted, but then she kind of had like this inkling towards me.

[00:03:27] It was hard. I get it. Cause I’ve, I’ve been there and a lot of people that work with me, uh, find themselves there. I find myself there every now and again, just a little bit when I’m looking at larger investments. So she was really courageous and she made the decision to begin working with me, which was really, really lovely.

[00:03:46] And we use the body based business method, regulations, somatic inquiry, and then strategy and anchoring, to move forward. And that’s what I’m going to share with you today. So you really want to listen to this. If you identify

[00:04:00]with being in that place of you have some anxiety around money, you’re not really sure how, what to do to make the most money.

[00:04:09] You really want to do it in an easy and efficient way, I’m going to ask for, Forgiveness in advance, because what I’m about to share with you is going to touch on kind of an epicenter of pain for some of you.

[00:04:23] So if he had that tension in her chest and the swelling in her belly, and of course, we needed to look at it from a place of immediate concern. Ease finding immediate ease. But we had to deal with the fact that she was staying really busy and frantic in order to avoid feeling that way. You guys might notice that you do this, I’ve certainly done this before in my life, where you just kind of fill your calendar.

[00:04:44] You’re like, wow, how did I get so busy? And then that, that moment that morning you have, that’s cool and pa calm and easy. Something feels off and you notice that little feeling, that little nagging inside of like, ah. This is what’s been underneath all the business. [00:05:00] This is what I’ve been trying to avoid.

[00:05:02] So slowly we had to increase her capacity to be with that sensation and so that she didn’t have to say busy and overworked and burnt out so that she could find softness and ease. And then once we found her capacity to be with that sensation, that tension in her chest and that swelling in her belly, which was accompanied by all of the thoughts around what should I do and how should my marketing be?

[00:05:25] And Oh my God, what should I do with my money? We did a somatic inquiry to get to know what we call the body compass, but he was trying to communicate something with her and we needed to understand it better. This is the difference between anxious and smart and successful entrepreneurs and just anxious entrepreneurs.

[00:05:47] Perfectionist entrepreneurs are overworking overthinking entrepreneurs. That trigger that tension, when we found, we found both trigger points and incongruence. [00:06:00] Anxiety is simultaneously a messenger telling you that there is something inside that needs to be looked at. It is a sign that your body thinks that you are in unsafe or lacking safety when perhaps you are not.

[00:06:14] It is also a messenger from the world, from your future self or from the universe or, or from somatic intelligence or intuition, giving you the exact steps that you need in the exact moment to get to where you really want to be. If you’re regulated and if you know how to use it, it is a very difficult thing to learn, to navigate that requires practice and patience and curiosity.

[00:06:41] That’s why I’m asking you to understand the nuance here, but it is a podcast, so I need to speak a little bit in black and white. So sometimes it is a trigger. What we found when we went inside, we found Sophie had three consistent responses. So I think that. You’ll resonate with either one of these or all of them, perhaps.

[00:07:00] So we went inside and we found that these, these feelings and these scenarios around money. So she had like some ad spend that she wanted to do. She had to look at her taxes. She would do a bookkeeping pretty regularly. obviously she wanted to invest in having support and it was, she also had this big dream and desire to make more money.

[00:07:19] She like wanted to make money. Valid. And it was triggering a tension in her chest that was triggering a part of her that was kind of saying, well, if I make more money, then I’m going to need to give it away. And in response to that voice, she would just avoid all of the tasks that would help her to make more money.

[00:07:39] Because this part of her thought, well, I better avoid those tasks because on the other side, I’m going to have more money and then I’m going to have to give it away. And I’m going to be so tired because I did a little work, but I didn’t get any of the money.

[00:07:47] And then that would flip. And sometimes it would appear she would look at a spreadsheet and she would look at a taxes in particular, cause that’s kind of confusing to a lot of us. And she, I just, I can’t do this. She would

[00:08:00]completely collapse and she would have this freeze response and everything would feel heavy and she would procrastinate and things would start to feel helpless.

[00:08:07] And she would start looking at LinkedIn and say, Oh, maybe I could apply for those jobs. It would just, I can’t do this. I don’t have enough. This will never work. I can’t, I can’t. And like you and I have both been there. It’s tiring and sad just being in a place of like, I can’t even some people, even you as you’re listening to this, you might be in a place of like, I just, I can’t, I can’t figure it out.

[00:08:30] I can’t see a way. This is a freeze response. My baby, this is like my love. This is a freeze response. There’s always a way forward. Another way that this appeared for Sophie was , she was really judgmental towards herself and she had this like loud inner critic, I just began noticing it really judgmental towards other people. And particularly around like what type of clothes they would wear, things they would spend their money on, how much they would charge her partner’s [00:09:00] friend asked for a raise for quite a large amount of money. And they sat and they just like really judged him and she was really judgmental towards herself.

[00:09:07] Like you shouldn’t want that because you shouldn’t even eat that because, and this was her fight response. Sometimes it would fight against the world and judge others and be angry at the world. And sometimes it would fight against her and judge herself and be angry at herself.

[00:09:22] Her buddy was going into a fight response because it didn’t feel like it was safe. Why didn’t it feel like it was safe? Because she was consciously pursuing more money. But in her past, her father had been taken advantage of. When he got a raise, he ended up in a situation where he had more money for a period of life and all his friends thought, Oh, well now that, now that George has more money, you know, like I’m entitled to it.

[00:09:44] And then they would judge him because of his car. So she had this feeling and this lived experience of being judged and being kind of objectified because she had more money. And so it was creating inside of her hostility. Like her inner critic was

[00:10:00] on steroids. And so on one hand, we had to go in and we had to look at these different parts and we had to create the internal safety that made them soften.

[00:10:09] And each different part, each different nervous system response needed a different thing. So we had to get curious. I mean, we found that thing. And on the other side, she created safety that allowed us to understand the wisdom that was in the system. beneath the swelling in our belly. So once we were able to kind of dissipate that fear response of like, Oh, okay.

[00:10:32] Yeah. Having money is actually like totally cool. It’s totally safe. Once we’ve normalized that we’ve made that feel safe inside of the bunny body. Now we get access to the intuition and the wisdom and the exact somatic pathway to success. And we found that I’m skipping ahead or maybe a little bit for all of you, but I care about making this It’s easy and efficient for you.

[00:10:57] We found that she was incongruent,

[00:11:00] just like you are sometimes, just like I am somewhere. She’d all this moments where she would say that she values her health, that she was not investing in her retirement for herself in the future to maintain her health. She was not investing in the things that would give her sustainable health.

[00:11:17] And so of course she was feeling swelly in her belly because before she could invest in that next call, she needed to put aside some money. for her health. She wanted to have kids and like, it’s okay. What’s your plan in your country? What, what is the best thing for you? Do you need to save for that prior?

[00:11:34] She said like consciously, she said that she valued personal transformation, personal responsibility, but she had numerous moments where she walked through life without a coach or a professional support system.

[00:11:48] And that just wasn’t creating the environment where she was able to take personal responsibility and able to have transformation. So yeah, she felt anxious about it. Her body felt off. She would look at her

[00:12:00] money. She would look at where it’s going. And there was like a, this isn’t quite right. Something is off.

[00:12:05] And she was able to access that query quickly, very, very quickly. As soon as we created that safety inside and got her really good at reading her buddy compass. Inquiry, which is what we practice together. Additionally, she said that she valued the environment, but she was doing all these things that were not supporting the environment, you know, when you’re doing this.

[00:12:27] You say you value all the things, you say you are this person, you say that you want to be where you are, but you stay, but you stick with the same things that you did last month that didn’t get you where you are, it’s the end of the month again, and you didn’t change anything. And she was feeling that she was completely out of integrity.

[00:12:46] She said she wanted to change, but she wasn’t doing anything to change it. She was running. Busy, keeping herself busy doing all the things, all the things, putting her money in all the places apart from where it would be most

[00:13:00]effective. And so she couldn’t really explain it, but when she started working with me, she knew that that was the journey to everything coming together.

[00:13:09] But it was similar to other moments where she didn’t understand why, but like a piece of her knew like, this is where everything comes together. This time, of course, her brain got scared and doubted herself. This was very true because. You know, when she, when we started working together, she got really good at creating safety inside and then listening to that intuition and that intelligence.

[00:13:32] There was a decision one time that she’s like, I don’t know what this is, but this is that, that specific feeling that I get when I know on the other side that I have to do this very specific thing and I don’t understand why, but I know it’s going to make me money. Guess what? She went to a three day festival.

[00:13:45] She just like hung out at the festival. That was the investment. It didn’t make any sense. It was a freaking dance festival. She left that festival with her highest paying client of her entire life, who happens to also now be her best friend. That’s freaking cool. That’s embodiment. She feels [00:14:00]aligned.

[00:14:00] She feels regulated. She feels connected to everything. So I cannot give you a checklist to read. I want to teach you how to learn to read your compass. You need to read your compass. You will learn to do that inside of financially fierce, which is the upcoming group program where we learn to hold, receive, circulate more money so that you can be an entrepreneur for as long as you desire so that you can be embodied and vibrant and excited for as long as you desire, you’re going to get a taste of how that feels inside of how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur. [00:00:00] The boss babe community has lied to you, making you believe that the more boss you are, the more success you will achieve. Then the soft girl culture went the other way and said, the more you relax and embody success, the easier it will become. Neither are true. . In this podcast, I’m not going to ask you to just relax and chill out because I know that that just sends you further in your head.

[00:00:36] We are going to dive into the downfall of the bus babe culture and both the soft girl culture and address the nervous season, re nervous system. Reasons why. Hi achievers, such as you, such as me get sucked into the idea that we are meant to do it all by ourselves, or we just end up doing it by ourselves because it feels better.

[00:00:57] It feels safer. We’re going to look at how [00:01:00] this makes receiving support, guidance, and even money the hardest part of your life and why the opposite of what boss, boss babes say, hustle and success , happens. It actually ends up happening. That was not articulate. Why? Well, the Boss Babe Soul Culture says, which is like this.

[00:01:21] Be that person, work really hard, get it all done, actually creates the exact opposite, which is scarcity and overworking.

[00:01:29] Cutting right to the chase. I have a client, I have a couple of clients and we’ve been looking at this over the past couple of months. They’re working with me inside a body based business and body based business is my one month. It’s a six month one on one coaching program where we build a sustainable business using somatic intelligence.

[00:01:48] It has three pillars, number one, nervous system regulation, number two, trauma healing, and number three, , systems and, , kind of anchoring and actions and making momentum. So the second pillar is the

[00:02:00]trauma healing. And I found with two or three clients over the past six months that this pillar was coming up with this very, similar pattern.

[00:02:10] It’s one that I’ve recognized as well in myself. And back when I was doing OCD coaching, I noticed it a lot, but it was manifesting a little bit more in romantic partnerships. They will like, like these, in the romantic partnership it manifests as you feel like you’re always kind of like in charge of your partner.

[00:02:26] It feels like they never really, Are doing enough. , maybe you can be a little bit nitpicky, you can be a little bit criticizing. It feels like maybe they don’t have a vision or a plan. And you kind of feel like you have to like take control of everything or take responsibility of the house and the money and all of the things and even like do the emotional labor and like you begin to feel really exhausted.

[00:02:46] There’s a mirror for that inside of your business, which is you end up pushing away money and pushing away support because of a really, really underlying factor, which is Often, [00:03:00] as cliche as it sounds, a part of you feels that it would be either dangerous to be supported because it’s very vulnerable, or you don’t believe that you are worthy of receiving some level of ease or money or like just goodness in life.

[00:03:17] I noticed this in myself lately. I have like this, I did a podcast episode on it just recently. I think it’s going to be number 137. I’ll link it down below. And it was really, really vulnerable because I’m like at this place where I have an amazing living situation. I have amazing relationships. , I have amazing work life balance since I stopped sharing so much of my private, uh, private stuff, , on the internet.

[00:03:39] I have amazing finances. Like I, I get to go travel. Like I have all these freaking, my health is great. I have all these amazing things. And I, I catch myself like what, at least once a week crying because it’s so good. It’s so intense.

[00:03:54] It’s like, Oh my God, this is so good. I just, it’s like too much. I just almost like, there’s a part of me that’s like, I don’t know if I can deal with

[00:04:00] this. It’s so good. And I will, I will literally cry like consistently because of that. And I noticed this in my clients as well. They were pushing away support.

[00:04:11] You would try and support them and then no, no, I don’t need it. Their partner would try and support them. No, no, no, I don’t need it. And they had this underlying narrative of I can do this myself. If I can do this myself, I should do this. If I can do it, I will do it. I need to do it. And there was almost kind of a lot of shame around actually wanting support.

[00:04:33] Meanwhile, there’s a part of you inside. There’s, there’s a part of you inside. There’s a part of my clients inside. There’s been a part of me inside screaming. I just need, I just want some help see me. I just want some help because in the past being vulnerable enough to receive support, Maybe you were taken advantage of, maybe your vulnerability and your innocence was taken advantage of, or maybe you were told that you were of more value

[00:05:00] if you could do all the things, maybe in your society, your culture, your family, , women who were educated and had a, , degree as far as everything who had like a really wonderful job and a paycheck and also thin and also pretty and also doing all these things.

[00:05:17] Maybe they were the ones that were celebrated and somewhere along the line you thought, well, I have to be all those things too, to be worthy or, or maybe there was a time where somebody. was kind to you. And then they utilize that against you. When they left, you opened yourself up to receive some type of love, some type of guidance, some type of support.

[00:05:42] And perhaps they took advantage of you. I see this in financial abuse from parents. I see this in spiritual trauma from spiritual people, spiritual organizations taking advantage of you. Or maybe you just decided at some point that it was just better if you did [00:06:00] everything yourself. And that happens sometimes in you, like you just do it or yourself.

[00:06:07] I noticed this, it’s worth mentioning that sometimes we, we have a really good experience with a coach and we think that we should have, like, we have a good experience. We like working with them and then we believe that we shouldn’t go back to work with them because we should be like, okay, now, like we shouldn’t need their support anymore.

[00:06:30] And so we step away from, you know, relationships that bring more ease into our life because we think that we need to do it all ourself. And I just want to name that and say, if that’s you go back to that person, receive that support. If it worked for you, let yourself, let it be easy. You are deserving of ease.

[00:06:52] And now we can go into, and in financially fierce, we will go into actually the embodied practices that help you feel that

[00:07:00]you’re deserving of ease for now. I’m just going to say it because That’s the scope of this podcast, but what we’re doing when you join, how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur, or when you DM me money audit, you get your money audit, or you, when you join financially fierce, or when you join body based business, when you’re working with me, we’re going to create these practice environments where.

[00:07:21] You don’t have to be so independent all the time. You can receive support and baby, you can relax, you can rest, you can release your belly, you can soften. And as a result, you’re going to begin to see how much everyone wants to support you, how much joy it brings others to help you, and how good things can get.

[00:07:43] Because trust me, you have barely even touched the tip of the iceberg. Next steps moving forward is go back and listen to the podcast that I haven’t named or numbered. I’ll put it down below, like my really vulnerable share about, feeling like we need to be a certain way in order to have financial stability.

[00:07:59] And my experience with

[00:08:00] that in this launch and then join or DM me this on Instagram or email to join, how to stay. Sorry to join how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur. If you are interested in receiving a nervous system, money audit, DM me money audit, depending on our conversation and what I’ve learned about you, I’ll make some recommendations to you.

I’m here to orient you. , I love you. I can’t wait to continue along this journey. Yeah, even if you’re nervous, reach out to me.

[00:00:00] Today’s episode comes from a listener request to answer a specific question. If you have a specific question you would like to ask, please DM me on Instagram. I’ll put my Instagram below so that you can do that. I would love to answer it. So the question is, I have an online business that depends on marketing through social media.

[00:00:18] Therefore analytics are important. And when I don’t get feedback and good engagement, I find myself wavering in my conviction to walk this path. How can I become more resilient to this so that I don’t. So that I stopped doubting and keep moving forward towards my vision. Hands up. If you felt this, can you like put a little emoji in the comments below or something, if you felt this, or even just let me know on Instagram that you’ve, that you resonate because I’ve definitely been there we’re going to look at this through the pillars of body

[00:01:00] based business. So there’s regulation, trauma healing, and strategy. That way you’re going to walk away from this episode with a tangible thing that you can do today. To feel more resilient, stop doubting, keep moving forward and take care of your business as analytics and engagement so that you can address the underlying unconscious, nervous, hidden patterns that are creating this wavering.

[00:01:23] And then we’re going to look at how to strategically change things inside of the business so that this isn’t something that you have to kind of bump up against so much. I’m going to give some fairly broad, uh, recommendations. If we were sitting on a coaching call, I would go a lot deeper because I would have somebody to speak with, but it’s just me today.

[00:01:45] Let’s look first at what’s happening and why we’re in this predicament or why we’re in this pattern. What’s happening is that our nervous system is always looking to things that tell us that we’re safe and that tell us that we’re loved.

[00:02:00] Engagement, likes, um, comments and analytics, they tend to do a really good job at telling us that we’re liked, at telling us that we’re loved.

[00:02:09] That little like button, that comment button, it feels like somebody’s approving of you. Somebody agrees. It’s like, Oh yeah, it’s that little validation that so many of us have been looking for, especially if you’re coming from a place where it’s been difficult to express yourself or you’re sharing something that feels vulnerable.

[00:02:26] And so it’s really valid that you would be in this place. It makes sense that your nervous system is orienting and utilizing when it does go the way that you want as validation of yourself and your dreams and reassurance that things are going really well, reassurance that you’re going to get to your goals.

[00:02:45] You’ve put a lot of time and energy and money to these goals. So it makes sense that your body would be finding a I’m looking for ways to reaffirm and reassure you. That’s really beautiful. However, when we

[00:03:00]notice that the things outside go not according to plan, or we are lacking a certain engagement or analytic or something, uh, it can put us into that place of doubt.

[00:03:12] Did I do enough? Did I do it the right way? Is my vision makes sense? It’s not a problem, it’s just not super helpful because that doubt makes it, you know, this cause like you’re experiencing it. It’s like that doubt. Now I have to go and spend time getting back to that level of confidence instead of spending time and energy looking at how to help the business get to the correct people in the right way.

[00:03:42] And bring in the revenue. Once again, there’s nothing wrong with this. It’s just, is it the most helpful? So how do we come more resilient to these changes and these analytics and things so that you can stop doubting and keep moving forward, but at the same time, we need to address that the business

[00:04:00]does need people to look at it.

[00:04:01] We need people coming in. You do need to market. So the first one is regulation. If you guys don’t already have my nervous system regulation PDF for tools, tips, tricks for when you are low on privacy space or time on how to regulate, you definitely need that. Um, but you need to find those in the moment regulations that make sense for you.

[00:04:23] I had a client yesterday, she shared that it was really helpful to do a cold shower after a call because that like gave her her nervous system the reset that she needed. I have another client who really likes to do inner child meditations, he’ll experience he, he told me the other week about how like one of his websites went down and he felt like this.

[00:04:46] He’s like, okay, I felt this tension in my chest, so I stepped away and I did an inner child meditation. Okay. I’m feeling scared. And I just spoke really nicely to my inner child. And then I came back and I, I fixed the website situation. That would be an example of an in the moment regulation. [00:05:00]You’re in the moment.

[00:05:00] Regulation might be other things such as not drinking so much coffee before you have a look at your reels or your engagements, not, um, looking at them until after you have moved and looking at them after you go to Pilates so that you’re in that really high energy calm space regulation. We can use breath.

[00:05:21] We can use movement. We can use essential oils. but in the moment regulation. Once you’re there, let’s start looking at the deeper underlying patterns that are causing you to need to be regulated so that you don’t need to focus so much energy on regulation. My question to this individual would be, why are you doubting?

[00:05:42] How is this doubt pattern serving you? When have you done it in the past? And on the contrary, What thing about possibly being so unapologetically confident in yourself would feel really scary, [00:06:00] or really weird, or really different? And I would actually do an embodiment practice about feeling into being the person who is so resilient that those things are just like, you just, water slides off your back.

[00:06:10] It’s just not, it’s a non event. That identity change, that embodiment, being that person. How does that feel? Does it feel sticky? Does it feel icky? Does there like a, like a resistance? Is it possible to access that version of yourself that just is more resilient? Sometimes there’s going to be like a block and we need to like kill some of the reasons or address some of the reasons why it’s difficult to embody and be that version of yourself and sometimes it’s just a practice and we just need to practice being that person more.

[00:06:44] Being that more resilient person. Inside of body based business, which is my one on one coaching, we do get access to ease, which is a nervous system cost on resilience. And we go, we understand a little bit more of this. Resilience is being able to bounce back [00:07:00] from something with effectiveness, efficiency, and ease.

[00:07:02] It’s not, not being triggered. So when I talk about being that resilient person, we have to acknowledge that doesn’t mean that you’re not going to be, you’re not going to have feelings of doubt. It’s like, yes. Okay. But that resilient person, when she experiences doubt and she, Waves in her own conviction.

[00:07:19] How does she respond to it? What does she make it mean? Something that’s been really helpful for me is like I had a inner child healing session with myself and it became very clear that when I have these thoughts, they’re all thoughts and I can witness them and see them almost like drip and dribble out of me.

[00:07:39] But I am that new version of myself and the other thoughts just pause. So when we go and we do the somatic healing, we do the, the parts work and we do the embodiment, we do the movement. Usually we had access to a little piece of wisdom like that that comes from you that will give you a little bit of insight on how to be that person.[00:08:00]

[00:08:00] And then how do we set up your business so that it doesn’t matter so much. So maybe you actually have somebody else that Look at those analytics, or maybe you look at those analytics with your coach so that you’re being held inside of that container because we do, or maybe we only look at them once a month and the rest, we just let it go.

[00:08:16] We do want to be looking at engagement, looking analytics, understanding what works so that we can do more of that, but we don’t need to be exposing you to triggers. All of the time, it just may not be helpful. So either get some support with it, take it to your coach, do it with your coach. Um, do it with your best, maybe not your best friend.

[00:08:38] I feel like sometimes I can be not super supportive. Um, um, sometimes it is do it in a way, like how can you structure it? Or maybe you don’t actually need to look at all, or maybe you don’t use so much social media. Maybe you do more email stuff, or maybe you do more in person stuff. What is going to be the easiest.

[00:08:57] way for you to keep track of your [00:09:00] marketing without it triggering these wounds. All in all, kind of like, what’s the easiest and can you do that? Anyway, you’re going to love episode number.

[00:09:14] So as it relates to being and holding that more resilient person of your version of yourself, make sure that you listen to episode number 130. It’s called why money security requires more than just thinking abundant thoughts. It really focuses on understanding why traditional approaches to abundance might be keeping you stuck in financial insecurity and how to tap into a deeper sense of internal security or resilience that transcends all of the fluctuations.

[00:00:00] You’re trying really hard to increase your income. You’ve tried all the things and your motivation is a waning. I’m not about to give you some quick, cute pep talk. I’m about to give you something that creates deeper, lasting results. You that have so that you have less of these moments in the rest of your career.

[00:00:16] By the end of this episode, you will know why this slump or this lack of motivation is feeling so intense. I know that you can tell that it’s something deeper than slump. What you’ve been looking at so far, and you’re going to understand how that relates to your understanding to the divine masculine, and you’re going to have a solution.

[00:00:52] To alleviate your lack of motivation in a way that is deep, grounded, [00:01:00]long lasting and actionable from today.

[00:01:03] I get it. You’re doing a lot of things. You’re probably like creating or working really hard to create really good content. Maybe you’ve hired a VA. Uh, maybe you’ve joined like a program because you wanted accountability because you were lacking focus. Maybe you’re really focusing on getting the right for you.

[00:01:19] funnel. Uh, maybe you’re starting to feel like a tension between, okay, I need to like get some things done. I need to bring in some income and it’s starting to feel really unsupportive. Maybe you’ve been in this for a couple of years or maybe you’re starting out, but either way, you, you just feel like something is off and maybe you resonate with having ADHD or maybe you resonate with having a past of trauma.

[00:01:49] Maybe you don’t, but what you do know is that things tend to go better when you focus on a holistic approach. That sounds like you keep listening. If it doesn’t, you may not be in the right

[00:02:00] place. I love you anyway. So I am a somatic trauma therapist and I specialize in working with entrepreneurs. And if you’re feeling these things and you’re pulled to this episode, I can tell you that possibly most likely your business might be activating your father wound or at least some sticky dynamics that you have around.

[00:02:21] Money or action. We’re looking at one of the two and the more that you and I get to know each other And the more that you listen to this content the more that you come to the master classes Then we chat on DMS and the more it the easier it’s going to be to differentiate Which it is but some of them most of the symptoms are really Overlapping.

[00:02:40] I’m going to name some of the most common symptoms of a trigger father wound or some ickiness around money. And I’m going to be referencing the same ones that I have on side of the father wound flow chart. If you do not have the father wound flow chart, and you’d like to follow along with a visual support for this podcast episode, please leave me a message on Instagram.

[00:02:59] Just [00:03:00] saying a flow chart and I’ll get that to you. You don’t need it to listen to the rest of the podcast. Okay. I just really like, you know, I’m a visual person, so I appreciate it when people also share their, their podcast notes, which is essentially what that flowchart is. It’s the most comprehensive way that I’ve shown that I’ve seen that shows how we can get to the deeper root cause of the reasons why we’re experiencing these symptoms.

[00:03:24] I’m calling them symptoms. I don’t know how you feel about that word, whatever. Anyway, so some of the common symptoms of a father wound or a triggered attachment style around money is that you are attracting codependent coaching relationships. So you’re placing your sense of success or work worth on how your clients respond, or you feel really responsible for their results.

[00:03:44] Maybe you find them, maybe you find yourself getting triggered when they’re kind of sharing a lot of information with you, and it feels like boundaries are kind of broken. Missed like mixed. It’s difficult to hold boundaries. Maybe you have difficulty focusing or restlessness [00:04:00] and you might have a bit of a weird, I don’t want to say weird, but like a difficult relationship with goals and discipline, meaning that at the end of the month, you often don’t actually achieve what you desire.

[00:04:12] And it feels like you’re kind of almost behind. Perhaps you’re the type of person who jumps to solve problems in the future. You’re already thinking about what could go wrong in September, in the middle of June, maybe. Maybe you tend to be a little bit of a perfectionist. You want to be perfect. You want the people around you to be perfect.

[00:04:37] Your content has to be perfect. If you have a, uh, assistant, maybe you tend to micromanage or you struggle to delegate or you’re just doing everything all by yourself because you’re worried you’re kind of living under that. If you want it right, do it yourself type thing. Um, or you struggle to get things done because they’re, they’re not right.

[00:04:55] You work a lot, you push yourself, you work till exhaustion, you struggle to know [00:05:00] when to rest. You Feeling okay, resting. And you also tend to use energy on things that do not have a high, um, ROI. So don’t give you a good return on your energetic investment. It’s a lot of the time that’s like implementing every thought that you have.

[00:05:16] If you’re a healing person, you like, like to heal and you’ve been in the healing space for a while, you probably have been following and staying on this healing hamster wheel and often prioritizing working through your triggers and emotions at the expense of action that supports your dreams. Not saying we need to be avoidant about it, but there is also like a healthy level of boundaries around healing versus doing some of the work.

[00:05:44] Other symptoms might include not having a healthy sense of confidence to pursue your dreams. So you feel incapable. You feel like you couldn’t, you shame yourself. You’re like, I should have been further along by now. I don’t know if I can do this. She can do it. But like, could I, it’s feels [00:06:00]really hard to like, Yeah, it just feels like impossible.

[00:06:03] Sometimes you also might be hypersensitive or hyper vigilant to other people’s actions. What did they do? Did they click on this? What did they say? I had this call with this person, but she hasn’t emailed me in three months or three weeks or three days. What does that mean? Um, maybe you like check your engagement like every day or check your analytics.

[00:06:21] Um, you’re like checking your income goal really regularly and it’s not coming from a place in my apartment. It’s like you’re scared. You also might be ready to give up. And you might have thoughts like either I sign this client or I do the business or either I make 5k this week or I do, or I just give up.

[00:06:39] You might also have a sticky relationship with social media, meaning like you do those hiatuses or you like delete the app every couple of days or you do a mass unfollowing. Um, maybe you feel like triggered when you look, you can’t open your app without feeling triggered or you feel like people are going to judge you.

[00:06:59] Um, let’s look [00:07:00] at exactly how and why these things are happening for many people. It’s because your father wound or your divine masculine wound, or we can use different words. It’s all the underlying nervous system orientation and the way that the way that we use the words changes how each person responds.

[00:07:21] And I want you to use words that are empowering for you, but essentially what’s happening is that you’re engaging in things that are related to that. more active activities and activities that relate to performance productivity goals, strength, decisiveness protection,

[00:07:37] because your nervous system isn’t really sure how and how to access the healthier qualities. Of that, such as focus, such as, um, diligence, such as discipline, such as internal boundaries. Okay. We’re not going to do that right now. We’re going to do that at 5 p. m. Okay. That’s a really great idea. We don’t need to act on

[00:08:00] it.

[00:08:00] Look at that. Okay. Speak to yourself with love because you’re struggling to access that. You’re struggling to create a sense of embodied safety and unconditional love. And you’re struggling to have the energy inside to be motivated. Yeah. This isn’t about you not listening to an a podcast or not being disciplined enough.

[00:08:18] This is because your nervous system is looking to other things for safety and it’s preoccupied. with what your friends think of you, what other people think of you. It’s preoccupied with your relationships. It’s preoccupied with, , your analytics, like searching for, uh, superficial Signposts of safety and validation and love.

[00:08:48] We want social media to be like this. I think if I perfect this thing, then it will be like this. If I, uh, it would feel really constrictive to not act on all of my ideas. [00:09:00] It would feel really, really scary if my engagement wasn’t great. And if every reel didn’t do great, so I have to spend two hours on it.

[00:09:06] It would feel really, really scary if I wasn’t perfect. So I need to heal myself before I can send out this next email. Because your body doesn’t have anybody sense of safety and unconditional love. When you have that sense of safety and unconditional love, you adore your clients. You don’t have hard clients.

[00:09:25] Goals are exciting and joyful. You have that energy of achievement. It follows you around. You’re so present and appreciative your entire life. You don’t have to think so much about the future and you can put energy into your business. You’re not worried about being perfect. You’re very happy to go out and be imperfective, imperfect without sacrificing your high standards.

[00:09:44] So you have more satisfaction and less stress. It becomes easier to get your tasks done because you’re focused on them. And then you disconnect and there’s no push. You just disconnect and like, go do other things. And you also have the discerning and the wisdom and [00:10:00] analytical thinking to pinpoint your focus, identify the actions that have the highest return on investment, and then put your creativity into that.

[00:10:08] And while your interest in self development doesn’t necessarily waver, it’s not like you need to spend hours in your emotions. Instead, you balance them with decisive action, and so you’re able to feel the depth of the beauty of who you are and your emotions, but also make tangible process towards your dreams.

[00:10:26] There’s this deep sense of equanimity, and I’m safe, and I’m capable, and I’m grounded that, like, literally, it’s like, Eat seeds into your bones so that you can respond to other people’s actions or even your business’s needs, engagement, analytics, marketing, all of that stuff with commerce. You can say goodbye to thoughts about giving up and hello to creative problem solving where you get to have your beautiful business, your expression, your legacy and financial stability.

[00:10:54] You don’t find motivation by looking for motivation. You go underneath. You [00:11:00] find your unique flavor of the father wound. You create. love and support inside. And so then all of these ups and downs, they get to dissipate. But how, how do you do that today?

[00:11:14] What do you do with that today? You’re going to do two things. The first thing you’re going to do is you’re going to click down below and you’re going to sign up for how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur. I’m going to teach you anybody in my practice that is going to help you. alleviate the, um, slumps, sales slumps and emotional ups and downs that can come or lack of motivation that can come. Then. You’re going to start thinking about what would unconditional positive regard unconditional love for myself in all moments? What would that look and feel like? There’s a part of you that judges, there’s a part of you that wants to be perfect, there’s a part of you that analyzes. Can you zoom out and love that part of you?

[00:11:53] Can you zoom out and And for positive regard towards that part of you practice that [00:12:00] I’m really curious to know how that lands. This is usually something that I would share inside of a coaching call. So I’m curious to know how it lands. Practice that. Let me know if it feels accessible. Let me know if it feels doable.

[00:12:10] We’re in this together and I’m here to support you guys in your journey to the best of my abilities. So this is a collaboration and a relationship between us both. So let me know how that lands. And if it’s supportive, maybe something else to be supportive. We have options. I’ll see you inside of how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur.

[00:12:28] So much love to you.

TRANSCRIPT:

[00:00:00] If it feels like the other shoe could drop and you could need your hard earned savings in cash quicker than you think, and that’s making you delay investing it in your business, in yourself, or even in the stock market, this episode was made for you. By the end of the episode, you are going to know whether or not you should be choosing surface level, short term solutions, which aren’t always bad.

[00:00:39] Or if it’s time for you to go deeper into the underlying unconscious nervous system patterns that are leading to having your anxiety, I’m going to share with you the best next step, which is an embodiment practice on how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur and make wise

[00:01:00] embodied decisions around your bills and spending your savings, investing in yourself or saving cash. Today’s. Podcast episode is inspired from the father wound flow chart, which details how your father wound might be impacting your income and your business and what you will gain by healing it to receive that. Send me a DM on Instagram. However, you don’t need that. to get the most out of the rest of the podcast.

[00:01:30] This episode is inspired by a client who is generous enough to let me use her transformation and her story as a teaching moment for us all. I was inspired to share with her, share her story as well, because it’s really similar to my own. If you’re a coach or some type of service provider, you know that we end up working with people who have had really similar patterns.

[00:01:53] And so most likely if you’re here, you can also identify yourself in this. When my client came to

[00:02:00] me, she literally wrote on her intake form that she holds her breath and tensions her jaw, tightens her jaw, were the words she used, when getting her credit card statement. She said, I have savings to invest, but I’m procrastinating doing it because it feels like in any moment the other foot could drop and it would be better to having cash, but this is just sitting in my bank account depreciating. you know, it could be as much as like 300 that you’ve saved. It could be as large as 300, 000 that you’ve saved. It could be 3 million that you’ve saved. I don’t know. But if you’re experiencing anxiety around your bills or around spending your savings, Yes, sometimes this is a surface level problem that requires a short term solution and sometimes most likely you’ve tried that just like my client when she came to me.

[00:02:52] When I noticed these tensions inside of my spending habits, I had already tried some of the surface level

[00:03:00] short term solutions my client had it well when she came to me specifically the We had both tried perfectly trying to plan our day in business. We had this thought pattern that was like, if I can just figure out my perfect wake up time, my perfect routine, if I can just find the best strategy, the way to like organize my calendar, or if I can find the best budgeting app, or if I can find the best planning agenda, or if I can even buy them the best sales script, then I can make more money, be more productive, um, feel like I have momentum, feel like I’m doing enough.

[00:03:31] And then I’m going to feel better about where my credit card comes. Hands up if you felt that way before. Meanwhile, this is something that she was experiencing. I haven’t quite been there because I’m really anti burnout, but she’d been working 12 hours a day, five days a week. And so in between her full time job and then building her business, she was working all day, every day.

[00:03:56] And when she wasn’t working, She was thinking about her business and she

[00:04:00]felt anxious about it and she felt guilt on the weekends and she felt like she felt like she had to always be online and like she had to like make sure that she wasn’t missing any emails or any opportunities and it’s almost like her brain always had to be on.

[00:04:15] I definitely felt this way at the beginning of my business. Even though I was resting, it was like I was always on thinking about it and there’s a beauty and a passion and like something so beautiful in that. Um, and also. Not so she thought the solution was to be more productive and work less But she would do that and she would feel guilty even when she wasn’t she had already invested in a coaching container for accountability But she ended up feeling distracted She didn’t reach her goals inside of that coaching container and she walked away with a really tense Relationship with the coach and also feeling a lot of shame around that She kind of oscillated between blaming herself and blaming the coach and the coaching container.[00:05:00]

[00:05:00] She thought that if she could make the coach fix something, then she would feel better. And then somehow her problems would go away. And there’s nothing wrong with this. I’m not here to, to shame or to blame. That’s not where we’re coming from. It’s just bringing awareness to certain thought patterns that we have, because it is that awareness that gives you the point, the decision point to change.

[00:05:23] Now, you can focus on perfectly planning. You can focus on being more productive. You can focus on choosing, um, to have somebody take responsibility for something that may or may not be their responsibility. That is fine. If that’s where you have capacity for. So you’re going to know if you have capacity for it.

[00:05:42] If what I’m about to present to you just feels like way too much. Hmm. Okay. Wait a second. You will know that you have capacity for it. If perhaps you just haven’t done it before and you haven’t learned the wisdom from taking the short term solutions or short term surface level approaches, [00:06:00]there’s a desire to like, give it a go.

[00:06:01] If you want to give it a go, give it a go. You’re probably going to end up back here at some point, but it might be with a different level of wisdom. So give it a go. I trust you. The people who end up working with me find that the downfall of the surface level short term pollution is that you do not get to the root of the problem or the energetic nervous system level, orientation, because your nervous system kind of orients to different things, thinking that that will provide it safety or alleviate its pain orienting to the problem.

[00:06:31] And you will either eventually return back to the deeper work, or you will mentally and physically burn out completely. And. Shut everything down and completely avoid it and ignore it. This is detailed inside of my father wound flow chart, which if you would like a copy of, you can DM me on Instagram, uh, to receive this father wound flow chart.

[00:06:54] Today’s. Podcast episode is inspired from the father wound flow chart, which [00:07:00] details how your father wound might be impacting your income and your business and what you will gain by healing it to receive that. Send me a DM on Instagram. However, you don’t need that. to get the most out of the rest of the podcast.

[00:07:13] It’s just like a helpful visual to have, particularly if you’re a visual person like myself. So option two is to actually go really deep in and heal the unique father wound. I want you to think of your father wound, not necessarily in that your dad did something or failed to do something, although that may be the case for you.

[00:07:32] It’s rather the way that your nervous system relates to every, anything that we might call Masculine, masculine energy. It’s seen in different ways, uh, depending on the school of teaching and the lineage. But I think of it as anything that tends to be more solar, more active, a little bit more outward energy.

[00:07:54] It tends to have something to do with provision. So being provided for, being, [00:08:00] um, Sorry, protected as well. It also has everything to do with containers and communication. Like container would be a period of time. This is the, the hour in which I’m going to record podcasts. You might have a, you might have an opinion about your structure.

[00:08:18] It’s structures. It’s kind of that like, Scaffolding of our life, as well as all of this solar actions that are more action oriented. It’s kind of like the hunting and the doing and the productivity and moving towards goals and, and decisiveness and protecting yourself, protecting your abysm. Anyway, once again, this is detailed a little bit more on that flow chart.

[00:08:38] So when you engage in anything that is related to this divine masculine. Performance, productivity, goals, strength, decisiveness, protection, your nervous system, if it has a wounded relationship with though that archetype or those actions, it defaults into a protective or a fear based [00:09:00]mechanism. And instead it becomes preoccupied with looking for love and safety.

[00:09:04] Gabor’s Mate Book Scattered Minds is a wonderful supportive resource that details this, um, a little bit more, , it is important for you to understand that your nervous system has an understanding of these things and its default way to look for love and face, love and safety is not just based.

[00:09:26] On what has happened in your life, your nervous system holds seven generations about what is safe and what is not about how to get love and how to get not about how to be provided for and how not to be about how to feel protected and how not to, about how to be productive and how not to. Therefore it is reacting not only to the moments in your personal life where you may have been hurt, abused, traumatized, disrespected, invalidated, but also By the masculine, all of these solar things, all of these action oriented things,

[00:10:00]but seven generations prior, seven generations prior.

[00:10:07] And so because you are, In embodied entrepreneurship, because you’re looking to cultivate a sense of embodied safety and unconditional loves or support in your nervous system so that you can then access the positive life affirming qualities of the masculine. You’re going to want to listen on like how to heal.

[00:10:30] What we’re calling the father wound, because when you access this embodied safety, unconditional love, your nervous system gets to take on these healthy, um, qualities of the masculine. And it allows you to experience things such as. My client finished with me and we have like an intake form. At the end, we do like a celebration call and it writes kind of like, what are your biggest three aha moments of our time together?

[00:10:57] And she literally wrote, paying my bills [00:11:00] and dealing with my credit card is basically a non event. It just feels like I’m supported. And I just haven’t really even thought about it in the last three months yet before we had anxiety. Now we don’t think about it. She said, I’m investing my savings and I feel like I know what I’m doing.

[00:11:13] I feel super, super safe seeing my cash gain returns in the stock market and also see the way that it’s supporting me in my personal and professional life. That’s a big deal. And the way that we’ve done that, and the way that I’m going to share how to do that with you, there’s a couple of steps. First, you were going to want to uncover your unique flavor of your father wound and create a healing environment in which it can find the love and safety that it’s been looking for.

[00:11:43] And when we do that, your symptoms immediately start disappearing. It’s not like a joke. It might be too good to be true, but it’s like, we don’t need the symptoms because the symptoms were a protective mechanism because there’s nothing to protect because we have a supportive environment inside symptoms, no longer necessary.[00:12:00]

[00:12:00] And you learn how to marry courage, focus, action, and discipline with safety, flow, and love inside of you and outside of you. These unique flavors of the father wound sometimes feel like, um, not believing in yourself because like one time you told your dad about something and he didn’t believe in you, feeling like you can’t do it, feeling like, I’m really confused, I don’t know how to do this.

[00:12:23] Um, also burning out and like, just like doing so much work, like those 12 hour days or trying to get everything perfect or being a little bit passive aggressive or feeling like there’s an urgency all of the time or feeling super, super scattered. Like you’re doing all of the things all of the time and like you just feel scattered and you can’t focus enough to create momentum.

[00:12:45] It’s not fun. This is the first step, understanding your new, unique flavor of your father wound of your wound within the divine masculine. And I’m going to share exactly how to do that inside of the free live embodiment practice called how to [00:13:00] sustainably make money as an entrepreneur. I’m really excited about this practice.

[00:13:04] We recently did an embodiment practice for a very small circle of mostly my one on one clients. And. The level of transformation inside of that 20 minutes is so beautiful. , everyone walks away with a little piece of different wisdom and it’s particularly wonderful because like, we’re not just doing like another masterclass or another thing.

[00:13:23] Like you guys have signed up for a lot of stuff for a really long time. Like we’re kind of over it. I don’t want to just like, Pitch you some random thing. No, we’re going to get in our bodies. It is such a gift to be able to share these things with you. It’s one of my favorite things to do, to be moving, to have music, to have breath.

[00:13:38] It’s the coolest fricking thing. Um, everyone walks away so happy with it and I’m so blessed to be able to just share it. So very excited to share it. It’s an embodiment practice on August 12th. You will find all of the information that you need inside of the show notes to sign up and let’s focus on that first.

[00:13:57] Let’s focus on understanding your flavor of the [00:14:00]father wound. If you can focus on understanding that for the next couple of weeks, then we’re going to work with how to address the deeper unconscious somatic patterns that are creating urine symptoms, and then how to find your healthy masculine expression, like what that looks like and how to marry flow with structure.

[00:14:20] Um, what burnout feels like and how to avoid it, but still be an active person. Action, um, how to feel power, how to feel, how to take away your sense of, um, running away from pain and therefore maybe avoiding some of your work. We’re talking deep, long lasting solutions, and it all begins with the embodiment practice, how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur.

[00:00:00] There’s absolutely no way to get entrepreneurship right. And you cannot perfectly plan anything and you will fail. Here’s how to do that with more ease. By the end of this episode, you will know why making more money as an anxious entrepreneur is not So I’m going to talk to you today about how to respond to the thoughts of nothing is working because I’ve tried it all, and what to do when you’re thinking, I’ve heard this advice before, I’ve been practicing it, and how is this different?

[00:00:45] For a lot of us, we can, particularly if you tend towards anxiety or you’ve had some type of trauma in the past, there’s a large part of you that’s internalize this. I do. This belief or this hope that

[00:01:00] if you make the right decisions, you can avoid pain and failure. On some levels, this is really true. If I do X, I can probably create Y and avoid Z.

[00:01:12] And sometimes it’s not so true. True, especially when we enter into realms that involve things outside of our control and even outside of our knowledge. Entrepreneurship involves relationships with other people, involves the way that other people perceive you, the way that they respond, it involves their lives.

[00:01:32] You know, all the stimuli that they’re dealing with, what it involves, what’s happening with their grandmother. It involves what’s happening in the U S election. It involves economics. It involves so many things. And yes, it is our job as entrepreneurs to look at numbers and look at your marketing analytics and look at your profit and loss statement and like all of these things, yes, that is true.

[00:01:54] Yes, we want to focus on the things that we can control, but you know, my dear, beautiful, anxious

[00:02:00] entrepreneur, that there is a part of you that looks so hard to get things right and to do the right thing that when things start to feel like they’re not going in the way that you were expecting, you start falling into that place of this is hopeless.

[00:02:13] Nothing has worked. I keep trying. I feel like I’m getting nowhere. Oh my God. I’m really tired. I’ve heard this advice before. I’m bored. This is just like, I I’m done. Right. You probably kind of rollercoaster through that. And then maybe the next day you wake up and you feel lighter and you keep going, or maybe it takes you a little bit longer.

[00:02:31] Maybe it’s a place that you’ve been for a couple of months. What I want to introduce you today is that Successful entrepreneurship, particularly if you tend to be a little bit more of an anxious person and overthinks you’re maybe a bit of a perfectionist or prone to burnout, it is less about what you do.

[00:02:51] It is specifically about being and holding. It’s not even about how you think it’s about being and

[00:03:00] holding in some ways this is kind of vague and it is intangible. I’m going to get as clear as I can. And I’m also going to share a couple of steps of how to. Be at the end of this podcast so that this doesn’t end up being another piece of fluffy feel good advice. And actually you can take what you learn from this podcast and apply it immediately to what’s happening inside of your inbox or your next sales call.

[00:03:25] When you’re so focused on doing or on the actions, it’s usually a sign that you are in a fight or flight response, which is a stress response saying that your body is perceiving some level of. You might be aware of that threat consciously, so it might feel like a deadline or a conversation with a client that is really important to you.

[00:03:44] Or it might be a less conscious threat of like, you actually have an underlying fear of failure running throughout your nervous system, giving you thoughts and emotions and sensations that make it feel like you just have to keep going and doing more. I have a client, I have a, not a sorry, a client, a [00:04:00]friend who we’re recently talking about this and she was kind of noticing it play up.

[00:04:05] She’d been working on this stuff in different ways for a couple of years, like with her talk therapist, et cetera. And we saw her dysregulation and her fear of failure. around a specific environment interaction with a client where she was really just focused on doing. So she’s walking out through her day in her life and she’s like focusing on like, I’ve just got to get this done.

[00:04:28] I’ve just got to get this done. I’ve just got to get this done. I’ve got to do the right thing. I’ve got to make the right decision. I’ve got to, I’ve got to, I’ve got to make, I’ve got to get it right. And so what did it happen is that it actually led to her. Staying up and like feeling a little, a little bit depleted.

[00:04:43] You can kind of tell that she’s just like a little bit depleted because she’s feeling a lot of pressure in her business at the moment. She’s got to reach certain milestones soon. And, and it’s. It’s just feeling like a lot for her. However, she has this wonderful client that brings in a lot of revenue and she [00:05:00] had a project with them and she had a meeting with them.

[00:05:01] She’s been focusing on doing all the things. She’s re she’s one of those people similar to you. She’s just really focused on getting it right. So she’s worked really, really hard on this project for this client. And she’s like, okay, I think we’ve got it right. I hope we’ve got it right. However, she walks into the meeting room and she can immediately see a Her client’s face.

[00:05:21] Her heart starts beating, her palms start getting sweaty. She is immediately activated into a fight response. Oh no, something has gone wrong. Her client says something about the work that is not great. She’s not happy. Client is not happy. And, uh, it, it, because for the client, it felt like certain things had kind of been rushed over probably because my friend was so focused on doing, um, and that it wasn’t to the creative capacity that she was expecting from the agency.

[00:05:55] Not great. So my friend actually starts getting [00:06:00]really defensive and defending all of her decisions. That makes sense. She’s in a fight. nervous system response. However, this defensiveness isn’t what the client needs at the time. And it just escalates the client interrupts my friend. Now my friend is feeling helpless.

[00:06:19] Oh my God. No, this is never going to work. And so she just starts offering like doing more, like we can do this other thing. We can add on this other thing, but it’s, it’s not helping get anywhere because the client is, it doesn’t need that. It doesn’t need you to do another thing. She needs you to remedy and be with her in the discomfort of the fact that she was expecting something that wasn’t delivered.

[00:06:42] She needs to. She needs you to connect with her first, human to human, and then find the solution. So, the whole thing escalates, the client basically is like, you know what, like, I don’t want to deal with this, and actually walks out. My friend cannot stop thinking about it, she goes back to work, she messages her

[00:07:00] friend, she messages her partner, she messages, like, the group chat, and she’s like, this thing happened, oh my god, um, and she’s like, um, I can’t stop thinking about it.

[00:07:07] She’s analyzing it. She’s getting angry. She’s judging herself. She’s judging the other person and it ends up keeping her up all night and her whole rest of her week is just bad. I’m going to share with you what would have happened if she was in a regulated space. So if she was coming to this space from a place of being and holding a place of regulation, what would have happened is she would.

[00:07:31] Kind of held that position of I’m, I can fix anything. I haven’t done anything wrong. I’m not failing. I’m safe. I’m provided for I’m protected, which means that she would have seen the scowl of her, her, the bad kind of uncomfortable face of her client. And her shoulders kind of would have pulled down her back.

[00:07:52] She probably would have softened and she would have kind of maybe opened her. It sounds really kind of, uh, esoteric, but. Kind of opening her cart a little bit

[00:08:00] and she would have maybe slowed the way that she walks and sat down and looked at this client and said, Hey, I’m noticing, um, Um, and then when the client said, I’m not happy because of X right there, she would have softened a little bit more without going into the client’s, um, dysregulation and anger and soften a little bit more.

[00:08:23] I probably asked a question and gotten curious. Okay. Yeah. There would have been some level of understanding validation. It’s firm though. She’s not taking on all of her clients. Uh, sometimes the complaints are not fair, but she would have been able to connect with that client, make them feel seen and heard and, and important.

[00:08:41] And probably they would have walked away saying maybe there’s not a solution in this moment, but we’re kind of going to figure this out. She probably would have walked away. Maybe her heart is like beating a little bit fast. , it’s not that she’s not affected by this. She might be annoyed. Maybe there’s a little bit of tension in her shoulders, but she walks away from that.

[00:08:59] She [00:09:00] immediately calls her team and there’s an action and she kind of just lets it go. And it becomes more about, okay, how, like, this is a thing that’s happening. Let’s remedy it. We’ll figure it out. Maybe she replaced certain parts of the discussion inside of her head, but in a way of, okay, cool. What did I learn from this experience?

[00:09:16] And how do I move forward? She might think about what went wrong and then address it next week in a meeting. She might call a friend or just go to the gym and just kind of like work through it. It doesn’t rob her of a good night’s sleep. It doesn’t rob her of the rest of her work day. It doesn’t rob her of her self confidence.

[00:09:38] There’s no overwhelm. This is something that I get to teach you guys inside of group programs or inside of my one on one. It’s a little bit more difficult to teach in a podcast, but I’m going to try and introduce it as best as I can. To go deeper into this, I would ask you to look at the following, , advice.

[00:09:59] Number [00:10:00] one, what is holding regulation feel like in my body? And what are the things that take me outside of regulation? So for example, yours might be a fear of failure. And so it’s not about looking at things from a fear of failure and trying to make the right decision or to do enough so that you can avoid failure.

[00:10:21] It’s what does it feel like in my body? Two. Not be concerned about failure or to know that if I fail, that means I’ve learned a lot and I’ve done a really good job and I can move forward from that. And failure is actually maybe a, one of the ways that I actually work towards success. Failure is a part of the process.

[00:10:43] There was a great article I read that was like, , the best entrepreneurs are the ones that fail the most because that’s where we learn the most. So. What does it feel like in your body? Where do you go out of that? So what does it look like when you go out of that? What are your specific triggers? Is there an [00:11:00]inner child part?

[00:11:01] Or is there a sensation in your body that needs a little bit of love? That would help you hold that energy of like, Meh, failure is not a big deal. Like, cool. And then how do you hold that in the moments where the rubber meets the road? In your client conversations, when you are creating your content marketing, sometimes it’s like a breath adjustment.

[00:11:20] Sometimes it means that you only engage in those activities when you can feel really regulated and you get really protective around those things. So you don’t put yourself in triggering situations or you don’t have heaps of coffee before you write. Sometimes we need to look at things, um, Through the energy of it, all the trauma of like, why are we so afraid of failing?

[00:11:41] For each person that’s going to be different, but I’m here to help you hold and be more in the, yeah, that makes sense that I would have fear of failure. And. I can move through entrepreneurship with resilience and regulation. And as a result, I’m going to reach my goals quicker. [00:12:00] One of the really great ways to practice this is by going and listening to the episode, why money security requires more than just thinking abundant.

[00:12:09] Thoughts. This is number 131, and I will make sure that you have the link down below in the show notes. The other place to do this, which is going to be the most effective is in a side of your body. So I’m hosting an embodiment practice on August 12th, where you’re going to learn the embodiment practice that all intuitive entrepreneurs need to learn so that they can make money sustainably through entrepreneurship.

[00:12:34] This is a really. Intimate, um, embodiment practice. I’m treating it as if it were a paid container, which means that I’m making sure that every person who walks in there is the perfect fit. Go ahead and send me a DM on Instagram so that you and I can have a super quick conversation to make sure you are the perfect fit for how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur.

TRANSCRIPT:

[00:00:00] If you feel like you are pushing or you are forcing, you’re trying so hard to feel protected and supported by your business or even the people around you, this episode was made perfectly for you. In the next few minutes, you will learn how to cultivate a sense of stability and empowerment, safety, and security.

[00:00:34] Even when you have inconsistent income, exactly what to focus on to feel like you can stop running around in circles on your healing hamster wheel and the one common mistake that people just like you have been on their healing journey for a little while now, uh, make that causes them to feel exhausted and over it and feeling like, Oh, haven’t I healed this already?.

[00:00:57] When I entered into the, , online entrepreneurial [00:01:00] space, I was a yoga teacher. I’ve transitioned through teaching yoga, becoming a yoga therapist, coaching around anxiety and hair loss and OCD and a million different things until I’ve landed here. There was one thing that kept showing up, which was no matter how much money I earned, I felt like it was going to go away.

[00:01:23] I felt like my success was going to go away. And I would project this onto the uncertainty of income. And I would think, well, if I just had a stable income, Then everything would make sense. It would feel good. I would feel secure and that’s stable income. I thought, well, I’ll say I’ll do like a group program or I’ll like plan my launch out perfectly or I’ll strategize everything.

[00:01:42] Or if I get my, , if I get my. Uh, like timetable down, right? Like that will make sense. Or if I have the perfect savings plan or something, and it was difficult. Maybe you feel similarly, maybe you’re in a position where you’re coming or you’ve been [00:02:00] in entrepreneurship for a little while, you’ve got some savings, maybe you’ve done pretty well in your career, but when you consider the fact that you’re, , Incoming entrepreneurship is more uncertain or fluctuates.

[00:02:11] It, it makes it more difficult to buy things you really like, like the expensive yoga membership or to invest an extra amount into your stock portfolio or your retirement or, um, or to consider perhaps making a larger investment like that. Buying a house or something, maybe it means that you feel extra anxious or tight or that you need to be a certain way around sales or marketing, and it can feel like there’s so much pressure that activates your inner critic and makes you feel stressed, which then makes it hard to feel focused in your business.

[00:02:42] And then you feel like really like guilty and gross. And it’s just like this bad cycle. I I’ve been there. Maybe you’ve just feel like you’re unsupported. I definitely had this as well. I just felt like I was unsupported. I had this like underlying feeling of I’m not getting enough support.

[00:02:58] I would kind of judge myself [00:03:00] for being needy or Something or I would like project it out to the people around me. My friends don’t support me enough They don’t do enough for me or my partner doesn’t support me enough He doesn’t pay for enough things or whatever and I would kind of project it out but it was this underlying feeling of Instability and not being protected and not being provided for in a way that felt safe, that was creating a larger anxiety.

[00:03:27] Because the truth is, it’s not about the inconsistent income. The answer isn’t to have consistent income. If you have inconsistent income, that’s more than enough to cover your needs.

[00:03:38] You will feel more secure, you know, you can be handed a million dollars tomorrow and you could have it fall through your fingers in three weeks. You can have a savings account that is perfectly cushioned and you can still feel anxious about money.

[00:03:53] You’re going to have contracts set up for the next six months and still feel like tomorrow you need to figure out how to get a new

[00:04:00] sale. Your anxiety around your income or your anxiety in general. isn’t about that thing. Anxiety is a messenger from the psyche, from the subconscious to look at something deeper.

[00:04:14] And that’s something deeper for many of us is how wound around the divine masculine, which is that which protects and provides. I’m going to reference the father wound flow chart. These are, I’ve created it to support us through the next couple of episodes because I’m going to be going and really detailing the symptoms, the problem, quote unquote problem or the wound that’s inside.

[00:04:39] And then what’s on the other side of healing those symptoms. You can listen to this episode. Referencing the father wound flow chart. If you send me a DM on Instagram and either myself or my assistant will send you the Google doc where this flow chart is.

[00:04:53] You do not need this flow chart to listen to this episode, but if you’re a visual person and you like to be able to reference back, then

[00:05:00] you like to be able to read, I I’m happy to share it with you just so that we’re really clear about where we’re going. So, as I’ve mentioned, Some of the common symptoms of a triggered father wound inside of your business would be feeling anxiety around inconsistent income feeling unsupported and On the side of this flow chart, there are also some other wounds, some other wounds mentioned or other symptoms mentioned.

[00:05:28] You can also reference episode number one 27 and one 28, 13 ways. Your father wound is secretly keeping you anxious, overworking, and in scarcity. I will also link that below inside of the show notes so that you, if you haven’t listened to that, I highly recommend that you do the symptom is.

[00:05:49] Feeling unsupported, feeling anxiety and wanting sustainable income, feeling a desire for sustainable income. What is probably happening though, underneath of [00:06:00] that is that your business is triggering your father wound and your father wound has something to do with, I don’t get enough love or resources or protection or provision from the The divine masculine, the universe.

[00:06:16] Common ways or flavors of this is feeling like money or success or your clients or your partner will abandon you or feeling a push to kind of pursue a high profile career or have a certain income because your father had really high expectations of you. Or on the flip side, if your father like doesn’t like the rich feeling like you need to not like succeed, supersede, go over a certain amount of income, like you need to stay poor because that will, then you’re, you’ll be a part of the income bracket that your father is in.

[00:06:52] And then that way he’ll feel really good when he provides for you, if he does in certain ways, or he will like approve of

[00:07:00] you because you’re one of like the quote unquote good guys. It also manifests as feeling. Powerless feeling like you don’t know what you’re doing having that thought of, I don’t know how, or I can’t just repeat during your day because we get in large part from our father, a healthy sense of I’m capable.

[00:07:20] That’s part of what the divine masculine, healthy, divine masculine will teach us. Once again, if you go into the. Father wound flow chart. This is going to go into that in more detail. It’s going to be really supportive for you. Send me an Instagram DM to get it. So if your father didn’t instill inside of you a healthy sense of I’m capable, you will consistently feel powerless.

[00:07:41] And then you don’t take action because you think you don’t know how, and then you don’t see the results you want, and then you feel shame about that. And then it makes it harder to take action. So you don’t achieve your goals. You also might experience a lack of self belief. So if your father didn’t believe in your ideas enough for you,

[00:08:00] maybe it was enough for your sibling, but it wasn’t enough for you.

[00:08:03] It can instill inside of us a belief that we don’t know what we’re doing and we can’t trust our decisions. I want to take a moment to really note and affirm that you may have had a really beautiful relationship with your father. You may not, but also understand that your nervous system isn’t necessarily responding just to your father.

[00:08:22] It’s responding to its understanding of everything that represents the masculine. So your nervous system holds seven generations of information about what is safe and normal and what is not. Therefore, when you engage in your life and you engage with yourself, when you engage in other people, your nervous system is reacting not only to the moments in your personal life where you may have trauma.

[00:08:46] Been not believed in, or you may have been hurt or you may have been traumatized or disrespected, or a abused, or just not supported by the masculine, but seven generations prior. We are

[00:09:00] responding to seven generations of unhealthy relation with that which it represents the masculine, which is everything to do with containers commitment, um, provision support.

[00:09:11] This is detailed inside of the flow chart a little more, but. It creates this pain, right? And now you can go through and you can focus on perfectly planning your day or finding the perfect strategy or like working really hard or trying to, or you know, you can do, I’ve done, I did this and it was a little bit helpful.

[00:09:33] I pay myself a salary and that, that’s really nice. And so I, My, my income is the same all the time, no matter what my business is doing. And then I get to look and if I, you know, I get a really nice bonus this month, which is fun. Um, cause we made, we made some good money, which was nice. You know, that’s like an extra, extra support.

[00:09:51] Go on another holiday. Yay. Uh, it’s yeah, it’s, it, you feel supported. You can look at those strategy and inside of body based

[00:10:00] business, we do look at those strategies. However, we address the deeper emotional, emotional. pain and discomfort or cloudiness or ickiness or stickiness so that the strategies are much more effective.

[00:10:12] Because you’ve done the thing where you run around trying to do all of the stuff and get your schedule right and do this. You’ve done that. Maybe it was helpful. You’re probably tired and you want something else. So when we come in and we heal that underlying wound so that you feel more supported, so that you feel protected, now the inconsistency of your income does not cause you anxiety.

[00:10:37] It causes you to say, huh. Yeah, I’m gonna do this. This makes sense. Okay, cool. Spoke to my account and did that. Looks like the strategy is, oh my God, how fun. Let’s do this. Yes. I’m so excited. Let’s do it. It’s just easy. Like, and you can just achieve so much more and then you go and you make dumplings. Like it’s just, it’s just a vibe.

[00:10:54] So that’s what we’re here for. We want it to be easy. We want it to be simple. That’s what you’re going to achieve. You were going

[00:11:00] to achieve that. Ask me for the father wound flow chart, go and listen to 13 ways. Your father wound is secretly keeping you anxious, overworking and in scarcity. And if you haven’t already sign up for August 12th, uh, free embodiment practice called how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur.

TRANSCRIPT:

[00:00:00]here is the solution to feeling like you are always on track, always energized by your work, like your work is always the truest expression of who you are and And also seeing that reflected in your bank account What I’m about to share with you today, I wouldn’t say that it is the answer to a mistake that people make when they are simultaneously building a business and also healing the trauma or getting more in contact with that true essence of themselves that feels light and childlike and playful and embodied.

[00:00:48] Because I don’t want you guys to think that it is a mistake that you’re making. However, what I am sharing with you is the solution to the problem that you didn’t know that you may. That you’re going to

[00:01:00] have as you heal this journey The problem that you didn’t know that you have Is that a lot of the people?

[00:01:08] um who a lot of you guys entrepreneurs who are Maybe a little bit anxious maybe a little bit of an overthinker maybe feeling a little bit prone to burnout Um, maybe feeling insecure and unsure of like how do I how do I How do I build a business? How do I increase my income? How do I have more sales in a way that feels aligned and feels good and I’m excited to go to work to do every single day and how I get paid without abundantly well at the same time is that a lot of the goals that you’re setting at the moment are coming from a.

[00:01:44] A place of trauma, and I’ll go into the details about that in a moment. And when we heal that trauma, when we no longer feel the need to protect ourselves or to prove something, then those goals

[00:02:00] tend to sometimes just not feel that relevant. And the problem that we run into then is, okay, cool, so How do I feel good about the fact that I’m not achieving necessarily the goals that I thought that I wanted?

[00:02:14] Um, what am I achieving instead? And how do I not feel like a failure? Because a part of me who might still be in those protective mechanisms or in that pain, Looks at what I’ve done or what I haven’t done and says, well, you should have X, Y, Zed. You should have, you know, built that business and made those 50 K months and made the program and you should have done the service and you should have applied for that thing and you should have gotten it.

[00:02:38] So here is the solution to feeling like you are always on track, always energized by your work, like your work is always the truest expression of who you are and And also seeing that reflected in your bank account so that you can go out and buy the things that you want so that you can take your mom to Bali so that you can,[00:03:00] um, you know, invest in the things that are important to you.

[00:03:04] And so that you can look at your accounting software and say, yeah, cool. Profit and loss statement looks fricking awesome and I just made some money and I did it doing the things that I love. So. This information is coming to you from a beautiful client session that I just had as well as some reflection of, of my clients over the past that I’ve been doing over the past month.

[00:03:29] Some of you guys know that I just took a month off in Europe and during that time I went through and I had a look at some of my favorite, um, case studies of clients through the body based business method. The body based business method is a trademark pending method that I’ve been utilizing. Both on myself and guiding clients through in a one on one setting for, I think it’s two years now.

[00:03:51] And we had a lot of clients go through it. Um, I’m preparing to do some different things now that I’m back in Australia with the body based business method. [00:04:00] And the first step in that is collating some, some statistics, some information and getting case studies really clear. While going through these case studies, what I’ve found is that so many of my wonderful, beautiful clients, myself included, set these big goals for our business.

[00:04:18] Some of those goals might be actually, I have some written down from the client call that I was on earlier today. Um, you know, it’s this kind of energy of, I’m going to have, 20, 000 come through each month in one on one coaching. And I’m going to create a course that does this, and we’re going to have 500 people in every month.

[00:04:40] And I’m going to buy this really like nice car and I’m going to And I’m going to have Google ads and I’m going to have three assistants and I’m going to, um, do consulting for this specific [00:05:00] company. And I’m going to also write this book and I’m going to do all of these things within six months. What is consistently true is that those goals we set come from a place of wanting to prove your worth.

[00:05:19] Wanting to prove you’re smart, wanting to impress your dad and have your dad say good work, baby girl. Wanting to be a perfect person, be the perfect entrepreneur, be the perfect wife, because your mom taught you that you have to be perfect in a specific way. Um, wanting to show your co workers or colleagues or, um, you know, even childhood friends that you are right about something.

[00:05:52] Maybe you’re coming from it because you’re in a lot of pain and every time that you help somebody else through their pain, it’s like you’re [00:06:00]healing yourself. And so it’s a very wounded healer, not in always in an empowering way. Um,

[00:06:09] you’re coming to these goals maybe because you think that you need to save a thousand million dollars before the end of the month or if not, inflation and the recession is and the depression is going to eat you alive or because there won’t be enough money in ten years or because you won’t have enough time in five years to be able to work so you need to.

[00:06:32] Save it all up now. Or maybe you’re thinking I have to always look after myself and I can’t rely on anyone else so I need my income to be extravagant. Or I need people to know that I am successful and cool so I need enough money to buy certain handbags. And now I’m not saying that the handbags are wrong or that wanting an income is wrong or that any of these goals are wrong, not at all, but they’re, they’re [00:07:00] placed from a different energy.

[00:07:02] Sometimes we place goals because we think that achieving that goal is going to alleviate us from pain that we are holding inside. That is not always a bad thing. None of these are bad. Sometimes that is actually really effective. And I’m very grateful for a lot of people in the world who have done that because it’s Bought a lot of beauty in the world.

[00:07:23] Something that consistently stands out to me is an episode that I listen to from Richard Branson of Virgin. And he talks about how he kind of built Virgin, trying to impress his mom. And it also comes to mind, unfortunately, some people just experience a lot of pain, especially if you’re more marginalized and you just kind of have to channel that and, and make something better out of it.

[00:07:46] These are not bad things. But if you’re here, you’re probably more likely to be In the realm of having the experience [00:08:00] where you begin doing the trauma healing work, you look at your inner child, you start processing your emotions and these things no longer have a hold on you. This has been true for my client.

[00:08:10] This has been true for me. I’m going to tell a little bit of story, kind of combining a couple of different experiences just to keep the anonymity of the client and provide as much context so that you guys can resonate and understand. We set these goals, thinking, Now, if I get this thing, then I prove that I can, once I have that, my dad will say X, Y, Z, once I do the course and I have all of that stuff.

[00:08:37] And we keep kind of building the business and taking the steps forward. And sometimes it feels hard and sometimes it feels easy and you just kind of keep going with it. And at the same time, you’re getting curious about your experience. You’re sitting with your emotions and one day you have this realization and this It was true for my client, literally just now, and it’s been true for me at numerous [00:09:00] different times where you realize, Oh, I actually don’t need to do all those things in order to be loved.

[00:09:06] I don’t need to do all of those things in order to be a person of value. I don’t need to actually do all of those things in order to have money. I don’t actually need to do all of those things.

[00:09:21] What often happens, and this is the problem that I was talking about, is that we just stop doing those things and we don’t move towards our goals. And we just, it just feels, doesn’t feel totally right, but we kind of just like float there for a little bit. And the solution that I found for my clients and for myself is we have to replace that with something with a bigger why.

[00:09:47] And so my question to you is if you’re not protecting yourself or proving yourself. Why are you doing this work? Why that why is important [00:10:00]at the moment? We are in rolling into financially fierce And I know that you guys you want to be that version of yourself that is embodied that is excited That is that is everything and you want to earn money for it And and for some of you that’s gonna be through the business in the way that you visualize it for the past six years 6 months, 6 weeks.

[00:10:22] And for some of you it’s gonna look different. But the why matters. Do you want to serve people? Do you just want to be a certain version of yourself? Is that more important? Do you want time freedom because that’s more important for your health? Is it because you have some connection with the divine or God and you want to express that through yourself?

[00:10:42] Do you want to be able to support yourself? What is it? Why? Why is this important to you? Can you replace a protective why that is concerned about not having enough or having to protect itself [00:11:00] with a fierce why? One that you can commit to and pursue Because I can teach you how to make money from that place.

[00:11:13] I can help you make money from that place we’ll do that inside of financially fierce and You can let go of that money having to come through in a very specific way. It has to come through your Instagram So if your engagement isn’t correct, then blah. I can help you make money In a financially first way in an embodied way, you can be the embodied entrepreneur who is resourceful, who is creative, who is intelligent and it gets paid really well for it and feels really great when they look at their money and doesn’t hold their breath when they’re signing their credit card.

[00:11:44] I can help you with that, but I want you to come to me curious about your why I want to work with you. You don’t need to be there yet, but I want to work with you when you’re saying, you know what? I I don’t know if I need to set away from scarcity and fear I want to set [00:12:00] away from from from love and I don’t want to take actions to get there

[00:12:04] we’re Creating anxiety free and profitable business and we’re creating financial freedom for high achieving, overthinking, anxious perfectionists just like you. TRANSCRIPT:

[00:00:00] The more you engage in all of the invitations to think abundant and be abundant, the farther you are away from the freedom, security, and abundance that you are seeking. Thank you to Erika for inspiring this episode. I want to introduce to you guys this concept that’s been so like, this is the concept that has been transformational, both for myself, but really in what I’ve witnessed in my clients. And I think this is a fundamental, difference between the type of coaching and support that’s coming from me because I have a background in trauma therapy and I understand the way that your body relates to things through the nervous system, which is where all the fundamental changes versus somebody else.

[00:00:59] We [00:01:00] want to create an experience where making money through online entrepreneurship is as easy as the laptop lifestyle that they kind of sold you in 2018. It’s as easy as that girl that you follow on Instagram and it’s just, it’s just, it’s just a walk in the park. It’s just because life is good and blissful.

[00:01:17] Life is good and blissful and sometimes this, this is harder. Then we would like it to be. And when that happens, a lot of us run to, a lot of us have, I was this person in the past and I’ve witnessed it. We run to wanting to be abundant, wanting to relate to things in an abundant way, and also expecting things to work out in a c certain way.

[00:01:46] Expecting things to have a specific timeline. We’re doing all of this in pursuit of money security. Feeling secure with your money, not feeling anxious about it. Feeling good [00:02:00] about it, right? Feeling happy, feeling consistent, feeling like you don’t need to work too hard, feeling like you don’t need to worry too much, feeling like it’s safe for you to just go and hang out, then do things that’s our goal.

[00:02:16] When our goal gets difficult, we often look to things such as even this podcast to help us get to our goal faster. That’s really smart. It’s really intelligent. We try to think abundantly, we try to influence our future, we try to make the right decisions, etc. You guys know, we’ve spoken about it in other podcasts, I’m not going to go into it more today.

[00:02:37] What I am going to go into is a thing, the truth behind that. When we do a lot of these things, what we’re doing is we’re kind of playing ping pong with that. Resistance. We’re not accessing the security and the ease and the flow that we’re looking for because we’re spending so much time and energy playing ping pong with that resistance.

[00:02:57] You’re trying to convince the parts of you [00:03:00] that are concerned about money that you don’t have anything to be concerned about, but you can’t actually do that because money is uncertain. And if I was to convince somebody and expect somebody to trust me around something that is uncertain, I’m sorry, but it’s not going to happen.

[00:03:16] You’re. in your mind, your logical mind isn’t going to do that either. It’s not. Totally logical. We have a lot of evidence for it, but for many parts of us, we’re not going to be 100 percent convinced that, yeah, everything’s gonna be totally fine with money. It’s difficult to feel that way when I’m, I can look at my laptop right now and down the bottom, there were like some headliner about, here we go, the hidden costs of home ownership and why they’re on the rise.

[00:03:44] If I’m trying to convince myself that everything’s fine with my future home ownership, it’s just very tiring, just takes a lot of energy. And then all the energy that we’ve spent into convincing ourselves that, I’m now not putting that energy into going [00:04:00] and doing things in the world that actually impact my bank account.

[00:04:06] So, The security that you’re looking for and the sense of ease, even when it feels like things aren’t working is beyond trying to convince yourself that they’re working or trying to figure out the way through. It’s in this place that’s like this, Oh, That’s it’s like you feel it kind of like rising up from your feet and it’s that ability to lean back and when everyone’s looking around and they’re talking about the rising cost of home ownership and Their mental health and how everything is so hard You’re kind of like leaning back and you’re able to drop down into a space inside of yourself that is peaceful and says Mm hmm.

[00:04:46] Yes I can see why you’re experiencing that, but I know that everything is fine. You’re able to find inside of you a security that transcends, I don’t know if I like that word, but it’s here, that [00:05:00] transcends all of the different fluctuations of what’s happening in the economy or in your, or in the stock market or even inside of your sales report.

[00:05:10] And it’s that security that is only found through the breath and through the bones and through the body. It’s only found in the back of yourself. And maybe as you’re listening, you can kind of feel perhaps a tiny little piece of that essence that’s laying inside of you. It’s the part of you that is safe.

[00:05:29] Is connected to intuition, to creativity. Who can imagine things that have never been happened that has ever happened before, and that relies on that same uncertainty that is so scary for your nervous system to create things that haven’t happened before, to live things that haven’t happened before, to create a whole new future for you and your community and your loved ones.

[00:05:52] And it is connected to security and that security is laying only in you. You can only access it when you become [00:06:00] so adept at witnessing without responding to the fluctuations and the fears. that manifests inside of you through thoughts, through feelings, through sensations, through emotions, but at the same time learning to dance with them and take their feedback because they’re smart and they tell you things about the world.

[00:06:24] They tell you when to actually, you know, make some decisions about your home loan or when to look at Maybe the approach that I’m having isn’t working and maybe that’s why I’m feeling so bummed out. You know, I’ve been doing the same thing for a couple of years now, a couple of months and it feels like it’s not working.

[00:06:44] So how can you simultaneously witness that, provide security to that? That’s the, that’s the flavor of security you’re looking for. Take its information and then make wise action to change something when it needs to be [00:07:00]changed. Because if you’re tired and you feel like nothing is working. You might need to change something.

[00:07:07] And if you’re constantly using money to look for some level of security, peace, and ease, you need to know that while it can get you, it can help you create a life in which it’s easier for you to access security, peace, and ease. The true security, peace, and ease, the one that is everlasting, the one that satiates you only comes when you can witness all of that stuff drop down into the back of your lungs, the back of your spine, the back of your legs.

[00:07:38] And rest, which is really hard to do when you, when you’re anxious about your bank account, it’s really hard to do when you’re thinking about your content plan for August. And it’s really hard to do when you’re berating yourself because you feel like you haven’t done enough and your healing isn’t working, but I have a solution for you.

[00:07:54] It is to listen to the next podcast, which is that I’m going to recommend, which [00:08:00] is 123 eliminate your stress response with money as an anxious. Entrepreneur starting today. [00:01:29] I’m talking about a deeper in your bones, in your gut, you can like feel it inside of your body and sometimes it feels like you don’t even know really what’s wrong. This discomfort or anxiety around money that is impacting the larger patterns that you have that influence the numbers in your bank account.

[00:01:50] You’ll know that you have this deeper, um, insecurity is the word I’m going to use, or unconscious pattern,

[00:02:00] nervous system based pattern around money. If you identify with some of the things that I’m about to share with you at the moment, number one would be You’ve gotten yourself set up. You’ve got some savings.

[00:02:12] You’ve done a really great job in your career, but as you transition to entrepreneurship, you feel like there’s a lot of uncertainty. Perhaps it feels like insecurity. And so you notice yourself really tensing up around it. a lot of the purchases that you really could do like buying more expensive local honey or getting the really nice eggs or that yoga membership that you really want.

[00:02:37] You find yourself holding your breath when you spend your credit card or tense tension in your jaw when you get the statement or log into your app to have a look at the balance. You might notice that your head kind of low as your chin ducks and your chest sinks when you consider. The past investments that you’ve made programs, coaches, courses, and even [00:03:00]perhaps therapists that have given you a proven pathway to quick and rapid results that didn’t work.

[00:03:08] You probably have some savings to invest, but you procrastinate it because it feels like in any moment, the other foot could drop and it would be better for you to have cash. However, that cash is just sitting in your bank account depreciating because even the best interest rates at the moment for savings accounts.

[00:03:26] struggle to, to cover inflation and increased cost of living. So perhaps you wake up with a flutter in your chest and racing thoughts of I should have done more earlier, or you’re not doing enough now. You don’t need that. You don’t know what you’re doing. You don’t own enough to afford that. You shouldn’t buy that because you might need the money now.

[00:03:45] And then you have to like journal for 45 minutes to release all of that instead of using that precious time to take action towards your goals. You might have a business set up, but sales have, um, dried up. This is the word that I hear a lot of people say, [00:04:00] and you are beginning to run out of motivation and you’re getting a little bit nervous.

[00:04:04] So it’s difficult for you to make the changes that would be necessary for you to bring in more sales. You’ve purchased heaps of courses on how to upskill for your business, but you procrastinate taking them and you are yet to complete one. If you feel this way, you’ve probably looked into productivity.

[00:04:21] You’ve probably read some money books. You’ve like listened to podcasts. You probably are following a couple of people on Instagram. Maybe you’ve worked with a financial planner or a financial coach before, but what you haven’t are assimilated down deep into the Soma, that essence inside of your body, your bones, your fascia, You the essence of you, what you haven’t assimilated and haven’t learned is that everything that’s going on.

[00:04:50] Yes, it is happening within the landscape of money, but it has nothing to do with money. It has everything to do with your nervous systems attachment [00:05:00]or relationship to love and love. Security and belonging, something that was created and now lives in the somatic structure of your bone and creates feelings and thoughts and emotions and sensations.

[00:05:16] Something that was created in the first three years of your life from the time you were in the uterus. What happens is your body Your nervous system is always looking to answer one of two questions. Am I safe? Am I loved? Am I safe? Am I loved? Am I safe? Am I loved? And the way that we answer those questions when we are a little infant and a little baby is we look to our parents and we learn about the world through learning how to get the safety and the provision of our parents and the love of our parents.

[00:05:50] So, What happens is our parents are imperfect people who can’t always be there in the way that we want. We really want them to just anticipate [00:06:00]our needs and we never want to feel any discomfort at all, ever. Unfortunately life doesn’t work like that and our body begins to orient towards our beautiful caregivers to give us things.

[00:06:12] and provide things for us, at some point that connection, that assimilation of our needs is broken and our nervous system, even without our conscious mind being involved. So you might be like, no, I have a really secure attachment. You can have a secure attachment and still be affected by your nervous systems, difficulties around money.

[00:06:33] That’s probably statistically what’s happening actually, because if 50 percent of people have statistically secure attachments, but I wouldn’t say everybody has that about money. You probably have a great attachment. You’re going to have a relationship with love. That’s really wonderful. But your relationship with money a little bit different.

[00:06:52] That’s true for a lot of people. And it creates these stories about money and it projects them onto money. So at

[00:07:00] first it started with your caregivers, then What ends up as we become adult representing belonging, love, and security. It’s now no longer what our mother and father are doing. It’s what our bank account is doing because that influences so much of our life, who we are, who we, um, relate with the decisions that we make in our life, whether or not we can do certain activities, what type of clothes that we wear, how secure we feel.

[00:07:26] And so money is this neutral space and all of these fears get projected onto All of these wounds get projected onto it. The wounds that were created that are now living in the energetic blueprints of how your body thinks about belonging, safety, love, money, feels about it, gives you emotions about it, or give you certain urges about it.

[00:07:51] And until these, wounds are healed on a somatic level. You’re just going to end up in the same patents

[00:08:00] because you’re holding certain beliefs, certain structures inside of your nervous system that your body just wants to, it wants to find evidence that they’re true. That’s how beliefs work. Our body is looking to confirm everything all the time.

[00:08:13] So let’s say that you ended up creating an experience with money Or your loved ones that deep down created a, an idea inside of you that there’s something wrong with you. So you tend to feel pretty heavy. You feel like somebody’s like going to shine light and like if you were in more of a leadership position then they would like know that there’s something wrong with you.

[00:08:32] Or maybe you develop this idea that like the world is just unsafe and things can be ripped away from me at any time. Yeah, so you’re pretty, you’re probably really hoping to save some money, hey, because like just in case and it’s just a feeling that you kind of walk around with, you don’t even notice that you have it because it’s just so normal, but it’s reflected in the fact that you have struggle, you struggle to invest when you really should be instead of having cash appreciate, depreciate.[00:09:00]

[00:09:00] Or what about like if you develop a wound of I’m going to be kind of invaded, people aren’t going to want to give me the space that I need to be myself. You might actually push away money. You might do things like be like, No, at the end of sales calls you got really kind of standoffish or you like to spend your money.

[00:09:21] You don’t like being in that place where you’re so full of something. You might have a wound of I’m not enough so you use your money whether that’s saving it or spending it. Or working really hard to get it, to prove that you are worthy. Or maybe you move, you use your money to be really, really big because yours is, I am unseen, I am unheard.

[00:09:46] Or maybe you use it because you want to feel included. So everything you’re doing related to money is trying to prove that you should be included somewhere. And that’s why you’re so anxious about it because it feels off. It’s coming from fear. [00:10:00] And there are so many other Wounds that we have that we can have that then get projected onto our money.

[00:10:09] I am trapped. I am disrespected. I am weak. I, um, will be rejected. I am the one that’s always disconnected. I’m going to be excluded, et cetera. There are so many different wounds. It would be impossible to go through them all inside of a podcast. And it’s also not that helpful just to be thinking about it and talking about it.

[00:10:31] So what we are going to do instead is I’m going to invite you to a free masterclass. This, it’s, it’s a free training. Really?
