Transcript
In the last episode, we spoke about fertility and energy and how your body's took. Capacity to create, whether that is a baby or a business, depends on how resource and safe it feels. Today we are going a little bit deeper. We're gonna look at actually what you need to optimize, not just survive and push through and make it through and be okay.
Why that is so incredibly difficult to do in today's like life, especially for humans who are a little bit more sensitive or have big visions or just used to being the strong one. Yeah. And then how we can start changing that together through really practical, uh, real world tools that recognize that sometimes things are hard and imperfect. 📍
What we don't talk about often enough are the little subtle patterns that create, um, a lack of energy, create the sense that you're running on empty or there's not enough time, or now isn't the right time to change. We're talking about the people pleasing saying yes to keep the peace even when you really wanna be focusing on something else, or imposter syndrome, feeling like you have to prove yourself before you can rest.
Or indecision, looping through what ifs and spending so much time in what ifs and what about this and dah, dah, dah, dah, until your fr your, your brain is so fried and you, you're not actually moving towards your goals or undervaluing yourself, making yourself more small because it makes somebody else feel safe.
Not even considering different career paths or ways of making money because ooh, what would it mean if I was that bold or if I wanted that or if, what would people think of me? What would I think of myself? One big one that I've dealt with a lot this year is helping myself and others through this idea of being a noble person.
What if I stopped being noble and just started loving myself and nourishing myself? These body responses come from learned behavior. It's that good girl. If I'm good and quiet and productive, then I'll feel safe and everything will work out, and that's not always true. It's often not. That self surveillance takes so much energy and sometimes it actually takes us away from our moral values because we end up doing sneaky little things that we wouldn't otherwise, and that can be even uncomfortable to look at.
It's like you're running a hundred apps at once or background tabs at once, but there's also this little like monster that's like, Ooh, we're doing that right, and then we wonder why we feel like we're fried and we have no focus or creativity or joy.
What I'm inviting you to look at is your body as an ecosystem, looking at how the same cellular energy that powers your work also powers. Reproduction, healing, digestion, intuition, everything that keeps you alive and your system wants to create. Whether that is a business, whether that is a project, whether that is a baby, but it can only do it when it feels safe.
And the reason that this type of learning changes everything is because your body is the foundation under every goal, every relationship, every creative act, and I think it's time for you to consider or your, I'm inviting you to consider the difference between managing your life from the mind versus flowing through what is most supportive for your body.
Allowing yourself to end the day with energy left, recover faster after stress, quiet your inner critic and stop taking other people's energy on as your own.. When we talk about optimization, I'm not talking about you becoming super human. I'm not talking about you becoming resilient to the point where you're depleting yourself.
I mean, just helping your body and your brain work the way that they're designed to. There are six things that really, really change When you get your brain and your body aligned, um, and you get your, your work and your money and your relationships all aligned, you're able to know exactly when you naturally focus, when you recover, when you connect, what type of relationships or family systems or even, and work systems are going to help you.
Be the best human that you can and have the most amount of energy. You're able to recognize your body's very, very, very early signals of burnout and actually listen to them and take them on board and do something different so that we don't end up in burnout. You're able to put sensations into words and articulate your emotions so that your system can integrate all of what's happening and the things that are important to you and your life's experience, and not sus suppress them or run away from them, or give you really.
Crazy. Overthinking thoughts. Ruminating thoughts, because a lot of the time that we end up in our head is 'cause we're avoiding feeling something in our body. You're able to say what you need without guilt or second guessing or thinking about it a thousand times or trying to perfect the correct way to say it.
You just share it and so much of your life ends up being based off of how do we all get our needs met and live in harmony together instead of what is the correct thing to say or do. And then you're able to build your work and your systems around you the way that support you, and integrate that into something that sustains you long term through different phases of life.
None of these though, are quick phases. They are the building blocks of energy that is consistent and steady. Creativity that is fun and fertility to make a baby. Or some of you are gonna be listening to this and thinking, I may, I, I think I wanna make a business first or at the same time, or whatever. But to create, these are the conditions your body needs to feel so safe enough to create from true, deep alignment.
Something that feels like, oh, I can do this for a long time. It feels like a natural expression of myself. However, this is so incredibly difficult for so many different reasons. If it were just about knowledge, you would be doing all of it. It would be done. I wouldn't have a job and we wouldn't be having this conversation because there's so much knowledge out there.
You would just ask Sha GPT and then it would be done. And it's not about willpower because you are strong-willed and sometimes to your detriment. It's about the deeper patterns that are harder to see. People pleasing, over-functioning, taking responsibility for things that are not ours, indecision, and they're not bad habits.
They're not something to fix or get rid of. There's a lot of wisdom in there, and I wanna keep 'em. They're just coming from parts of you or your body that's thinking things like, well, if everyone's happy, then I'm safe. If I do the right thing, then I'm safe. If I follow the rules and I'm safe, then I'll get everything that I want.
And we were literally told this, and we still are told this in many ways, especially if you're working in a workplace with a boss that wants you to follow the rules and you don't wanna feel like half of you is dying to be able to follow the rules of this society and live in this society, but you don't wanna feel like you have to suppress anything and, and it's kind of a confusing place to be, how do I be myself and show up?
This is why when you try to rest or set boundaries or just slow down, sometimes things feel like they get worse before they get better. Sometimes it feels like your mind doesn't stop, or there are these constant things that keep coming at you and you might feel guilty or anxious or restless even when you know that's what you need.
And even if you've been doing this for years, we're doing a really deep deconditioning of your body in a society that's always trying to condition us. To go faster, to consume more. And I'm not saying don't, I love going fast and I love consuming things, but be, you can kind of be mindful about what is the correct pace for you.
And that's what this work is about, which is why we can't start with mindset or even education. We have to start with regulation. And I know I sound like a broken record to some people and sometimes to myself, but. Okay, we gotta start with helping your body believe that safety and rest are possible in this phase of your life with these people.
And that it can stick around and it can be okay and that you can return to it. 'cause if the body can have that felt sense of truth, that felt state, the mind will catch up. Have you ever had that feeling where your body knows something and your mind is kind of in denial about it? I made a decision recently and the, the body was like, oh yeah, this is, this is happening.
And my mind was like, ah, what do you mean? And does these tricky little things and it tries to kind of like gets you in all of the fear stories or the what ifs and then you, you come back to your body, your body's telling you you want this thing and scare you to follow, but you will be happier when you do.
This is what we are. Optimizing inside of my energy management program, we're rebuilding the foundation, but in a really soft way. We have a five week process that focuses on one piece of your inner system with short lessons, somatic practices, and reflection. I'm gonna share with you, and you can take a little bit of this information and start applying it yourself now in your life without coming into the program.
Or if you want that support and you wanna know the. The details and the intricacies, and the nuances and the, then you're welcome to come in and we can talk about what that support will look like for you. The first thing that we need to know is your unique energy patterns. When to push, when to pause, not based off of your chromosome or like if you're supposed to be a nine to five person, but the little, little cues inside of your brain, in your body that say, Ooh, I need a little bit more energy.
Ooh, I need a little bit less. Oh, this person is gonna make me feel a certain way, especially over your menstrual cycle, what's happening inside of your body over your menstrual cycle, six days before your period, if you have a regular one, which we really need and want you to have a regular one, and we'll talk about that as well.
Um. W what types of tasks are really important for you to do, or what happens when you have this amount of meetings, but getting into the intricacies of that energy management and optimizing it inside of the systems that you're in. In week two, we have regulation in real time in week three. And when I say that if that, it's not like what TikTok is teaching you, it's.
Regulation that occurs, that works. Thinking oxytocin, the difference between female and male regulation, the difference between regulation, if you have a DHD or a history of trauma, if you have time, if you have space. In week three, we're looking at nervous system, safe boundaries and needs based relating and working together as a team relating and communication.
Week four, we're looking at redesigning your workflow so that it, it fits your brain and your body. Basically. How do I take all this inner work and make it outer and make it fit? In week five, we take that energy manual that you've created and we look at how do I make this sustainable so that I can optimize for fertility?
For building a business? Your capacity can be. Well will increase through this process, but it is not endless. So we have to be a little bit fierce and creative about how we make that work. 'cause yes, you will become more productive, but this is not about increasing your productivity. That's not the main outcome.
It's more about becoming more available to understanding how creativity moves through you, and productivity is one of those outcomes. Because that will then rely, we don't necessarily need you to, you can like, we want you to be able to divert that to having a baby and increasing fertility and some, for some of you that's gonna mean lingering in bored or lingering in feeling like you have excess energy and not doing that.
I have a client and we're practicing just like lingering. Being okay with having a little bit more energy and still a to-do list that needs some and allowing her to nourish and feed that into herself before putting it out into something else. Because the process of feeding that into yourself and lingering in it, holding it, having it for you, no one but no one else, but just for you.
The whole world will wanna take it from you, but hold it for you. That is what helps your body know. Ah, yes, we have excess. Now we can create a baby. Now we can create a business.
So if you've been listening and you feel a little poor, the sense that there's another way to do this, I would love to have you inside the Energy Management program, five Weeks, neuroscience backed Body Informed Tools. You can learn more and apply through the link in the show notes.
