TRANSCRIPT:

[00:00:00] So how do you seamlessly blend flow and structure so that you can bruce your productivity, your creativity and ultimately gain income? In this episode, you are going to learn how to establish consistent routines and supports that support your goals. You’re going to learn the one key shift that had my client received this information and then messaged me to say, yesterday I made a decision to work on one of my products right after chanting and eating breakfast and I got into a flow and worked on it for two hours without difficulty.

[00:00:42] Um, you’re going to understand the importance of committing to decisions so that you can free up mental energy, and you’re going to discover a technique for listening to your body’s energy and utilizing it to guide your tasks. This episode is an excerpt from how to sustainably make [00:01:00] money as an entrepreneur.

[00:01:01] That is a training and embodiment practice that you can find below. I will, I will link it down there and yeah, it’s, It’s coming from how I utilize embodiment to understand where I’m going to be most productive for the day and what is the most effective use of my time.

[00:01:20] How I discern between avoidance versus just not helpful right now. And, uh, How I do that so that I can run this business and also just like feel really freaking lit up at night at life and do all of these things, uh, without getting burnt out, even though it’s so easy to do. So go ahead and hit play and down below in the links, I’ll make sure that you have access to how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur.

[00:01:47] That’s that free training. And if you’re really feeling this and you’re enjoying this information and you would like to listen to another Episode. I would really recommend that you listen to number [00:02:00]138. Why hyper independence leads to more anxiety, overworking, and a scarcity based mindset. Um, I’m going to pop the recording in here now.

[00:02:09] Remember link below, including your recommended next listen and a free embodiment training and practice. . what would it look like to marry flow with structure? So think of structure as the thing that allows the flow to happen. I’m going to try and say this without being angry. The

[00:02:48] way that I would invite you to do it is to make the minimum amount of decisions as possible. So pick a structure for this thing that you’re thinking about. Maybe it’s [00:03:00] your day or your marketing plan or your business pick systems. And a structure pick the things that are going to remain consistent. They don’t have to be the best things.

[00:03:14] They’re just, I’m not making a decision around this anymore. I eat breakfast at 9 AM. It could be like that, or my launch plan is this long,

[00:03:28] or I invest this amount of money that is a structure like

[00:03:35] points where I’m thinking of some that I have, yeah, this is what my day looks like. These are the hours within which, which I work. I don’t work around them. I invest every week because. I invest on a Friday every, every week. And I don’t look at the stock market. I don’t try to time it. I invest every week,

[00:03:57] things that you make the decision, that’s it. And then within [00:04:00]that, when you’ve made those decisions, it’s, it’s commit to the decision. So understand the why behind the decision. Why? Because I feel like I’m going to X, Y, Z, why? Because then I’m free up this amount of energy for other things. Because what we’re looking to do is to free up.

[00:04:14] Energy so that you can find flow so that you can return back. That’s why we have coaching containers. That have a container so that you can be in that container and we free up energy for you to do the deeper work or for you to do the greater creation. So make a decision about the structures that you want, things that are already decided.

[00:04:39] And then within that, don’t argue with yourself. There’s a part of me that’s like, you just have to do it. And it’s really difficult when you just really don’t want to do it. But the honest energy point is like, you just have, you just do it. So return back to what helps you just do it. Why is this important to me?

[00:04:59] [00:05:00] How will this support me? And sometimes it’s just because I said I would, and I care about my commitment to myself. And sometimes it’s more like, well, because I’m going to try this for three weeks and then see what I learn. So I don’t have to do it forever. I’m just going to try it out.

[00:05:18] And then when that flow, like, look at what makes you feel flow left. And that’s where I kind of think that what I was talking to about, like knowing what your body wants in that moment. Like you might have a to do list, but it’s like, okay, what is the energy inside of my body telling me to do? An example of this is on Friday afternoon, I knew that I was going to work until a certain amount of time.

[00:05:39] I had a certain amount of lists of things to do. And I was like, okay, so I have to do these and I have to do these. And two of them, I tend to not want to do. I tend to push them off and like, it’s, it’s Friday done them. And. So when I sat down with the work, I could feel part of [00:06:00]my energy was like, I’m really excited to edit this podcast.

[00:06:05] And I know that I need to do this administration things and I can feel inside of me when I’m avoiding something, it feels like heavy and it feels like I’m avoiding feeling something because I’ve checked in a thousand times and done this. So. What I was able to do was I was said, okay, what are the sensations in my body?

[00:06:29] What is the energy telling me to do? Oh, the energy is telling me to edit the podcast, but I know that I tend to avoid this. Is this an avoidance thing?

[00:06:39] Is this an avoidance thing? Kind of like feel yourself going through it. What would it feel like if I was to do that? What do I get to avoid? And inside of that question, you can ask yourself, am I avoiding feeling something? And you can make a decision based on what you learn. So I actually did choose to do the podcast

[00:07:00] because that was what my energy really wanted.

[00:07:02] Yeah. And it needed to be expressed in that way. That was the most efficient use of the energy in that moment. Other times I’m like, uh, no, you’re just avoiding doing that thing. Cause you know, that it’s going to actually have the results that you want. Like I do that. I’m like, I know this is going to work.

[00:07:20] So I avoid it, put on some music, make it fun, do the thing anyway. So it’s like following that because you’ve already, I’d already decided that’s a task that gets done every week. I don’t know if that speaks to the specifics of what you’re talking about, or if that is helpful. There’s like a thousand, we could do a whole, a whole thing on this.

[00:07:44] So tell me if that’s helpful.

TRANSCRIPT:

Making a sustainable income as an online entrepreneur does not require overworking sleepless nights or burnout from anxiety about money.  I’m about to show you exactly what it takes to earn a sustainable income where you get more done in less time, reclaim all your work hours to improve your sleep, and then watch your bank account thrive.

Today’s episode is sponsored by my group program, which is called financially fierce. I’m super excited. We’re starting it soon.

It is a place where nervous system regulation meets trauma healing meets financial empowerment, which somatic attachment meets the how we put money into things. And like, and like the logistical things of like, okay, and how, and what are the actual decisions that I make around my money? I noticed a really big gap in the market,  regarding help making decisions around money, being little micro decisions of how much do I expend on this?

And then macro decisions of like, do I get a job? are not. And Financially Fierce is going to empower you and support you in making those decisions through an understanding of both your nervous system’s attachment patterns to money and what is required inside of your life for you to feel really at home.

So you’re in the right place. If you identify with any of the following scenarios,  you’ve got some savings and you’ve done pretty well in your career or you’re okay at something, even if your imposter syndrome tells you that you’re not. But this transition. In your life, period of time, your financial life, period of time, perhaps a transition to entrepreneurship or perhaps a different change in circumstances has your jaw really like tensing up when you look at buying things like that really nice pair of shoes that you want or that nice jacket or the trip to X, Y, Z place or the yoga membership that you want.

Um, perhaps you hold your breath and you get anxious and you get tense thinking about your credit card. Or perhaps you look back at some of the purchases that you’ve made, perhaps programs, and  you feel kind of Shrunken and sad and annoyed or, or just like ashamed of those investments, particularly ones, if you felt really excited about them because they promised a proven pathway to a quick and rapid results and you didn’t get it.

Perhaps you have some savings to invest, but it feels like it would be better to have cash in the bank because the foot could drop at any moment. So you’re procrastinating and the cash is just like depreciating.  And maybe you wake up with a flutter in your chest and racing thoughts of you don’t know what you’re doing.

You don’t own enough to fought that. And then you have to work through all of those emotions for 45 minutes instead of just using that precious time for taking action towards your goals.

Perhaps you have a business set up, but sales have dried up and you are running out of motivation and you are getting too nervous to make the changes necessary to close more sales.  And lastly, you may have purchased different courses on skills, but you procrastinate taking them and you haven’t completed one yet  and you’re in this push and pull and this push and pull and it is exciting.

It’s exhausting and I get it. I’ve been there and I, it’s just tiring. I get it.  Plus you’ve done the courses on business and the podcasts on mindset and you’ve  done therapy for your anxiety and you probably have had a coach and maybe it just fell a little bit flat.  So if you’re coming to this podcast and you’re depleted, I get it.

I hear you, you  haven’t done anything wrong  and I’m not going to promise you a blueprint to success.  What I am going to support you in doing is finding the pathway to your own embodied understanding  and your own  sustainable income. And your own life expression of work.  We’re going to use scientifically proven and effective tools to create lasting changes in how you experience money and your ability to receive, hold, and circulate more with ease.

I’m going to be sharing the how  and helping you picture the vision and helping you make a decision and support yourself inside of this podcast.  ,  And at the end, I’m going to extend an invite to you to join financially fierce  because you swore that this year you would stop working yourself to exhaustion.

You said that you would get your finances on order. You said that you would start saving and you said that you would do something about the tension in your job.  And so a part of you knows that if you delay finding a process that works for you to financial stability without anxiety and overworking,  you’re going to tumble down forward.

You’re going to end up in the same place or worse  in six weeks and six months and six years.  However,  if you join Financially Fierce,  by the end of the first eight weeks, you’ll be opening up your bank account while you’re brushing your teeth, tingles running up your chest because you’re so proud.  You’re so proud of that number in there.

And you’ve been so relaxed and chill about it that you’ve literally had to count the numbers twice.  This has happened to me so many times.  In eight months, you will be basking in the ripple effects of this work. Yes, your saving accounts has grown, but the best part is your loved ones are messaging you with their own celebrations because you inspired them.

You haven’t had a migraine or a mental health day in months and you have so much levity and energy in your body. You went for a run and Pilates today. In eight years you will be seeing your book at the local bookstore.

Your podcast will hit the 2 million downloads mark.

Your retreats will be booked at 12 months in advance and they’ll be flying you over from LA to be guests on some panel.  Those pinch me moments are going to be the norm.  We’re going to do this inside of Financially Fierce.  Because your complex relationship to money is mapped through your nervous system, your attachment cell, and your most subconscious beliefs, meaning that your patterns of working until you burn out or obsessing over planning, how do you make money this year, week, lifetime, or completely avoiding it.

And then running away to a tropical Island to never think about money again. They are a result of an unconscious energetic pattern.  Therefore only an untangling and reconfiguration of this pattern  Can support you in changing it so that you have different thoughts,  different emotions,  and different impulses that propel you forward to that sustainable income with ease.

We are going to use it using a six part curriculum.  There are going to be six embodiment practices and there is going to be a lot,  a lot  coaching.  You’re going to additionally experience.  Support with other value driven, like minded online entrepreneurs who really want to build businesses that support them financially using the wisdom of their body without sacrificing mental or physical health.

You’re going to witness these other individuals share their stories and heal  and you’re going to share.  And heal  through being in contact with them. We learned so much by being in these groups, second sessions,  and you’re really going to take advantage of those embodiment practices. There’s something that are difficult to facilitate in a one on one setting.

They’re impossible to facilitate through a podcast. And so they’re going to help you make real lasting changes in your nervous system, mental patterns, relationships, relations to sales, so that you walk away from our time together, an entirely different way of thinking about money. And both business and financial decisions.

It is really important to me that you feel empowered in this decision making process. And I have facilitated all of the question and answers and all of the things. And I am here to give you information, support you in making the decision and make sure that, yeah, you feel good. So the way that we’re going to do that is you’re going to DM me money audit.

When you DM me money audit, you and I are going to have a quick conversation where we’re, I’m going to understand your relationship with money, your current, where you currently are at.  And  then if where you’re at and what you need aligns with the group program, you’ll receive an invite to join. If not, you’ll receive a referral to another resource.

114: Investing in Coaching? How to Avoid Being Gaslit Into Purchasing

141: A Trauma Informed Mediation: The # 1 Essential Somatic Practice for Financial Freedom

TRANSCRIPT:

If you have shame or guilt or a stickiness or anger towards any past investments that you have made,  there are three key steps that you can take into account so that you can look back on those investments, feeling really, really proud of yourself and feeling a lot of wisdom.

In today’s episode, we’re going to be looking at The trauma informed approach to the coaching industry and bad coaching investments as well as a very empowering mindset that you could have so that you can feel in the position of an empowered being and you can reclaim all of that energy and all of that power back and move forward with resiliency and self compassion and kindness and grit and empower.

To achieve all of your dreams.

What I’m about to share with you is simultaneously going to be very encouraging and it’s going to feel like a sweet balm of nectar on the parts of you that are sensitive about your past investments.  It is also going to pull you forward into  a stronger version of yourself that I know that you see and you feel inside,  that really achieves a lot of what you’ve been looking to achieve. Really has that podcast or the book or travels or is the panel speaker or has the clients and feels really good and great after all of your client calls.  that means that I have to act both as a loving, kind, compassionate trauma therapist and also as an empowering coach.

the three keys or the three phases to pass through in order to heal from bad coaching investments. Number one is forgiveness. This has to come first. Healing occurs or ease occurs. Ease and healing, which basically frees up the creative energy that we, that we want and desire to reach our dreams and goals.

It’s so simple, it’s so simple, but it occurs from a place of forgiveness and love and compassion and benevolence.  That’s the place where things change because when you’re embodying that inside of yourself, there’s enough space inside to create new neural pathways and there’s enough space inside to start changing.

There’s enough space inside to access. Your wisdom.  And so you really,  you need to forgive yourself.  Even if, even if you’re like, ah, but I don’t think I need it. Yes. Yes. You need to forgive yourself if you have any type of criticism,  if you’re ruminating,  if you’re talking to people about these things, if you’re Annoyed at your, at the person who was involved in this bad investment.

If you’re  annoyed,  uh, at yourself, you have to forgive yourself for making that decision or forgive the other person  for doing that thing.  And it’s really important for him. And this is my trauma therapist hat on, where we have to understand that inside of a lot of, especially in this coaching industry, it’s  there is both sometimes financial trauma that occurs.

And there’s manipulation that can occur. I would say 75 percent of my clients have come to me having experienced some type of manipulation or financial trauma in their experience. Working with coaches or even therapists,  you know, people saying one thing and delivering on another people, utilizing information, um, to manipulate them into making a purchase, um, urgency and things like that.

These things will occur. That’s not the topic of this podcast.  That’s something that we touch on in podcast number 114  called investing in coaching, how to avoid being gaslit into purchasing.  So that’s really important.  In that podcast, in 114, we do touch on your, Ability to make decisions with discernment based on the wisdom of your body and how really the way part, the way forward is to have that regulation and have that discernment and being able to read your body compass to know how to make an empowered and informed body based decision  you’re moving into any investment. but the purpose of forgiveness  is to wipe the sink clean so that you can learn the lesson from that experience because it is through that wisdom that you will be able to look back on your past financial decisions and all of your investments and feel that warm sense of self love of wisdom, pride in that past version of you.

There’s no pain towards you or the other person.  It’s just wisdom and joy and pride and flow and ease.  I have recorded a meditation for you, 141 on forgiveness. This meditation will be one of the tools that you can support yourself with  as you’re finding forgiveness for yourself  and for anyone else involved.

And maybe even God. or the universe or whatever it is that you relate to or don’t relate to.  The second step, and I’ve already hinted on it, is to learn the lesson. Extract the wisdom. That investment told you something. You learned something about yourself. It gave you some level of wisdom.

An example of that would be, I have a client who invested in a coach a little while ago and she knew in her body that  she knew in her body that  she wasn’t here to do business the way that other people were meant to do business.   However,  naturally, normally it’s okay. She  fell into her own fear and then she fell into the certainty that somebody else was presenting around a structure.

They would teach her this specific way to launch this specific thing. And she would have this specific patient’s pressure structure. And. She was like, okay, cool. So she, she purchased it  and she hated it as soon as she was in it. As soon as like the doors opened to the, it was like a group thing. As soon as the doors opened, she immediately knew that this wasn’t for her.

And unfortunately she’d already made a commitment to pay. So she had to make that decision to not engage. With it because she knew it wasn’t her and she had made that, , she’d made that decision out of alignment, but what it did was it further integrated  the belief in the understanding inside of her, that her innate way of doing things, the way that her body wants to do things, her way of doing things.

Yes, it is different.  To other people’s way of doing things, but  it is the most effective. It is different and it is the most effective. So now that we are working together, she has that sense of that core identity and that core trust inside of her body. So concrete because she’s had this other experience where she tried to do it another way and she wasn’t able to, it wasn’t effective.

She got burned out. Everything fell off. This is now so concrete inside of her that our work is very easy. It’s just, I support her and I make it just easier for her to tap into that. And I bolster her and I strategize with her and I give her the extra confidence to go and do the things.  And so there is a level of wisdom.

What did you learn from that experience? This helps me. This makes me touch on number three,  And this is the part where I am aware that for some of you that’s going to be really painful if you have experienced some type of financial trauma and you’re coming to this from that, , very, very fragile, tender place. This may not be the information that you need right now. I recommend that you really focus on step one, forgiveness, clear up some energy and then come back to me.

Clear up some space and then come back to me.  Once again, that podcast is 141, a trauma informed meditation on forgiveness and an episode that would be really helpful for you. If this piece of wisdom isn’t helpful is 114  investing in coaching, how to avoid being gaslighted into purchasing. So we’ve got  number one.

Forgiveness. Number two, extract wisdom. Number three, understand that you don’t always get what you want. You get what you need. The nature of the psyche is to heal itself. Therefore it will create scenarios. It will attract what it needs in order for you to see what is happening inside of your psyche and heal.

Carl Jung, um,  has that famous quote that is the central, the central, Uh, essence of all union psychology, which is until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.  So what we’re doing sometimes with these decisions is we are making the unconscious conscious.

Therefore we are seeing different parts of ourselves. We are integrating what we discover into the conscious personality.  So the part of us, perhaps that is completely not okay with doing things the way that somebody else didn’t. Wonderful. Let’s embrace that. Let’s do it your way.  Or maybe you get to see your really angry, ugly parts.

Maybe you see the parts of yourself where you’re not congruent with your words and your values and desires. It’s up to you to extract that wisdom from that and move forward.  These are the shadow parts of ourselves. Um, and sometimes it can actually feel like the life events are happening to us and pulling us forward into these things from the outside.

But it is a psyche that inside of us that is attracting this experience.  It might seem like fate, but it’s us. That’s causing it. Our subconscious is. creating and propelling us more forward to have these things until we learn that lesson.  So the more that we can extract the wisdom and understand that we did get what we needed,  it may not have been what we consciously wanted, but we did get what we needed.

Then the less we’re going to be kind of subject to all of the emotional ups and downs. And the less we’re going to feel like we’re stuck in that, the more space we’re going to have to Look back on that decision and love it so much, so much.  So I really recommend that you listen to podcast number 141, the meditation podcast number 114 on being gaslit into purchasing at current.

I am currently enrolling for financially free. [00:00:00] you’re really going to know that this meditation is going to be helpful for you. If you find yourself looking at the past to justify what you could or should do with your money. When we’re doing that, we are often not always coming from a place of dysregulation or fear and , it’s often a sign that we haven’t fully found the wisdom of that experience moving forward.

[00:00:43] One of the biggest things that I notice inside of people who are looking to have more empowered relationships around money, maybe make more money, spend more money with more ease, , invest more money, like I’m millionaires, , it is, or not

[00:01:00]just maybe like, I don’t Have a little bit more money, go hang out on a ranch, I don’t know, is that we,

[00:01:10] we come to this work thinking that we need to fix something about us. We come to this work thinking, Oh, if I just like figure this one thing out and we’ll figure it out. And we’re really harsh on ourselves. And therefore we go into this kind of rumination, we go into, , anxiety, we end up in collapse and our whole bodies get overwhelmed.

[00:01:34] And it’s all because we started relating to the decisions that we made around money with pain. Today I’m going to give you an embodiment practice, a meditation that’s going to help you not to do that so that you can take, make change. Whatever way is correct for you right now so that you can change things so that we can efficiently and effectively get you towards the anxiety free and profitable [00:02:00] business and financial freedom that you care about so that we can make social and cultural change.

[00:02:06] It’s all intertwined and it all starts with this practice. So take a deep breath. You can listen to this with your eyes open or closed. I would encourage you to listen to the, with them closed, but if you can’t, that’s okay. Just let this kind of seep into you. Let my words seep into you wherever you are and allow it to be enough.

[00:02:26] Just taking a deep breath. See if you can breathe into your belly, push your belly out,

[00:02:34] breathe into the back of your lower back. So you’re breathing into your lower back. You’re pulling your energy down.

[00:02:50] Start softening, maybe releasing your tongue from the top of your mouth, maybe releasing your jaw, softening your eyes. They don’t need to be a certain [00:03:00] way. Pull your shoulders down. It’s safe. We’re going to be here for a few minutes and I’m going to pull you out at the end. It’s okay to just practice softening right now.

[00:03:09] Being present. The world will wait. I promise you have time for this. And

[00:03:19] so bringing to mind. something that you love. Think about someone or something that you love. Maybe it’s your pet, maybe it’s a niece or a nephew or child, somebody that you really love. And may it be something that is easy for you to love right now. Don’t pick the person that you just had a fight with that you love.

[00:03:42] Pick something that’s easy for you to love right now

[00:03:48] and see if you can just Picture that in your mind’s eye, feeling the energy of this beautiful, wonderful thing that you love so much. I often picture my cat[00:04:00]

[00:04:02] breathing here.

[00:04:07] Notice what happens inside of your body. Do you begin to feel love and compassion and empathy and maybe a little bit of warmth? I hope so. Notice it. Maybe there’s a little smile on your face. Maybe you could even create one just to amplify the feeling

[00:04:30] breathing here.

[00:04:37] See if you can just amplify that feeling of love and compassion. Maybe 5 percent more.

[00:04:50] And then you’re going to replace your loved one with a version of you that made a decision around money that you’re not proud of. 100 percent on board with right now. [00:05:00] Maybe it was an investment that you made, maybe it was choosing to even save when you could have spent an investment you didn’t make.

[00:05:11] Maybe it was when you were saying your prices on negotiating a percentage of something and in hindsight you wish you’d done it differently. Maybe you trusted somebody

[00:05:24] and see if you can keep that same feeling of love

[00:05:31] and outside or inside. I want you to just say to this past version of you, I love you. You did the best with the tools that you had and the information that you had. You didn’t do anything wrong.

[00:05:52] There’s nothing that you could do or not do that would make me change my opinion of you. I love you.[00:06:00]

[00:06:04] I forgive you.

[00:06:09] And I’m sorry,

[00:06:14] using your own words, I’m going to repeat some inspiration for you, but use your own words. Trust yourself here, repeating at the pace that is supportive for you. I forgive you. I love you.

[00:06:32] I’m sorry.

[00:06:37] You did the best you could with the tools you had.

[00:06:44] We’ve learned so much. You didn’t do anything wrong. It’s okay.

[00:06:53] You did the best you could with the tools you had. We’ve learned so much. You didn’t do anything wrong. It’s [00:07:00] okay.

[00:07:05] I love you.

[00:07:10] Thank you.

[00:07:19] Maybe just asking this past version if there’s anything else that needs you to feel, needs you to know,

[00:07:26] anything that would feel loving, that would make it feel loved. As you move outside of this practice, as you continue throughout your day,

[00:07:39] let it know that we’re going to be making new decisions around money. Now, we’re going to base them on the understanding that there is nothing wrong with us. We deserve support. We make good decisions and everything we want is just there waiting for us. We don’t have to change who we are. And[00:08:00]

[00:08:02] when you, when this part understands that that’s what we’re moving towards every day, a little bit more, Give your body a little shake. Open your eyes if you had them closed. Just come forward. This is it. You can return to this practice a million times. My encouragement for you is to really focus on understanding that every day is a new day.

[00:08:30] Pick something different today. Learn from your past. But don’t judge yourself for it. Don’t shame yourself. Don’t criticize yourself for it. You didn’t do anything wrong. You’ve never done anything wrong. You’ve never been wrong. Maybe there are certain things you had the experience like, Oh, okay. I’ll probably do that different now.

[00:08:48] Now that I have this information, I would do that difference, but that’s totally normal and fine. A lot of us have a lot of pain around, like, making mistakes or picking the wrong[00:09:00] thing. I think this comes a lot from our childhood, in my experience, witnessing it in other people, also experiencing it.

[00:09:07] I’m a three, six projector. I don’t know if you guys know in human design, that means I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but I was also taught that it was a really bad idea to make mistakes, but mistakes are how I learn. And so I would cost need to make mistakes and then judge myself a lot for them. And yeah, it’s a rough place to be, but mistakes and having an ability to fail is what’s going to help you become the most successful entrepreneur that you could possibly be and have the most ease as you’re doing it, less kind of baggage.

[00:09:39] It is essential. If there’s nothing more essential than the ability to fail forward as an entrepreneur, these practices help you. actually do that instead of just think about how you’re going to do that and conceptualize it. This is the how I really recommend that you come back in a couple of [00:10:00]days and that you check out a episode number 141, which is called healing from bad coaching investments.

[00:10:07] We’re going to look at a case study of how we can heal from these past investments that haven’t gone the way that we wanted so that we can continue moving. Sending you so much love and I’ll speak with you soon.

TRANSCRIPT:

[00:00:00] I shared this with a client last week and a client came to me at the beginning of session last week feeling like being a millionaire was so far away out of her grasp. She messaged me 30 minutes after our session, and then three days saying, I can feel it.

[00:00:18] I am the millionaire. It feels inevitable. It feels happy. It feels, it feels, it feels correct. By the end of today’s episode, you’re going to hear my story on that millionaire identity.

[00:00:43] It’s something that I’ve never ever shared before, and you’re going to have a somatic understanding of, of who you are as a millionaire, which is going to give you the clear steps to work towards it.

[00:01:00] If we’re not quite there in the bank account, we’re going to be using a somatic nervous system based approach to get you towards your own version of financial freedom.

[00:01:09] What I’m about to share with you is based on the understanding that your body is always trying to create more of what it perceives to be safe. What it perceives to be safe is the thing that it’s currently experiencing that makes it not die. It’s just cared with you. It only cares about you not dying.

[00:01:23] Therefore, you can have a conscious, desire. but your body might just not be interested in giving you the thoughts, feelings, actions, and impulses that are going to get you there simply because it hasn’t been that before. And so because it hasn’t been that before, it’s not sure that it won’t die if it’s not there.

[00:01:39] Therefore, what we need to do is create a culture inside of your body, create an environment inside of your body, where becoming a millionaire not only feels safe, but it actually feels like a really good idea to all of the parts of you that tend to be a little bit more primal that want to just keep us in the status quo and are only concerned with not dying based on the information that they have about the world that is often

[00:02:00] influenced by conditioning and trauma.

[00:02:02] The other thing to understand is that millionaires are con are created through compound interest and compound actions. They’re not created through one thing that you do one time. They’re created through you doing little things many, many times over, even if like, we’ll go compound interest. You make a little bit of interest now and then, and then you’re going to make more interest tomorrow.

[00:02:23] And then we keep going the Japanese. I think that Ikai, Ikai, Ikuno, there’s a, there’s a Japanese method of understanding this. If I just do one thing, improve 1 percent each day, then I’m going to get to where I want. Okay. Before we can continue, and I can share with you this secret of how to step into your millionaire identity using a somatic approach, I want us to understand why we are where we are and what happens if we keep going where we are. At this point, you’ve probably done some courses on business.

[00:02:54] You’ve listened to podcasts on mindset, you know, you’ve done your anxieties for your therapy and you’ve

[00:03:00] probably had a coach that’s promised you some type of proven model to success and maybe some of it worked and maybe some of it didn’t. If there’s any part of you that’s feeling a little bit depleted or skeptical, that’s fine.

[00:03:11] You’ve done nothing wrong or cool. That part of you is welcome here and I’m not going to be promising you anything. What I want you to get curious about before we keep going is what is the compound interest of not stepping into your millionaire identity today? If you keep believing that your millionaire identity, that you being a millionaire somewhere in the future, somewhere away from you, keep making decisions based and taking action in the same way that you’ve been doing so in the past couple of weeks or months or years, where will you end up?

[00:03:42] For me personally, I asked myself this question, I think it was maybe two years ago and I wrote down something and it kind of went like this. If I kept doing exactly what I was doing, I would continue waking up with that like icky feeling in my chest and then

[00:04:00] anxiety. And then I would, rush throughout my day feeling like, ah, something is wrong and something is off.

[00:04:05] But I would just like mask that with busyness and I would feel exhausted. If I continued the way that I was in six months, I would diving into my not supportive habits. So drinking a little bit too much wine, not going to the gym, snapping at my loved ones, the relationships that I’ve been working really hard to support, grinding my teeth, impulse shopping.

[00:04:29] You know, I feel shitty in my body. My bank account looks bad. My relationships are not good. If I kept going the way that I was going in six years, I would have spent literally thousands of dollars and hundreds and thousands of hours of my time with limited return on my investment. I would be guilty. I would be sorry.

[00:04:48] I’d be feeling guilty. I would have been feeling guilty. I don’t know why. That’s my thing. I would have been pretty depressed. I would have been lethargic. I would have been bitter and angry. I would have been completely hopeless about my financial future and I would be looking back on my life thinking, what the hell, Sheridan?[00:05:00]

[00:05:00] Things were going pretty well there. You had an opportunity. You did not take advantage of it and you literally created the result that you were working so hard not to. That was my reality. It is probably similar to yours and that propelled me to understand this and to go and look at the semantics of it.

[00:05:17] Our body’s always looking to recreate what it perceives to be safe. Here’s the thing. If you were always striving, you’re always in the energy of like, Oh, I’m almost there. I’m going to get there. It’s going to continue recreating that because that’s safe. You’re never going to get them. I love, you’re never going to get there.

[00:05:32] You’re also going to continue identifying with your fears and your shame and your guilt. And you’re going to continue looking at the world through fear and shame and guilt until you do this thing. We call it hold the pose. I teach this inside of all of my group programs. It is extremely powerful. I did not understand how powerful it was going to be.

[00:05:50] It’s just something that I started adopting because I was like, okay, cool. Well, if I’m not my fears, if I’m not my shame, if I’m not my guilt, who the freaking hell am I? Oh, I can [00:06:00] be the millionaire. Oh, like it’s, it’s not even about the money. It’s Oh, I am today right now. I, the person I am today is the millionaire.

[00:06:09] The rest of the things is catching up. The money is catching up. The bank account is catching up. That’s fine. That will continue to catch up. I can hold in my body that I’m the millionaire because I am because I’m the same person. I don’t have to change anything about myself. Yes, there is fear that tells me I need to change and yes, there’s shame that tells me that I’m wrong and if there is guilt that tells me that I’m doing something off and maybe there’s anger, but I am she who holds all of that.

[00:06:34] And so you step into your millionaire identity when you begin to identify with and semantically concrete inside of you that you are she who holds it all. You have enough. Now, yes, fear, shame, anxiety. On the other side, there is wisdom. They’re going to give you the steps to move forward. They’re going to keep you moving forward, but you are not fundamentally different to people who have more

[00:07:00] money in their bank account or a higher net worth, you know what to do with your finances and those have somatic anchors.

[00:07:08] Those somatic anchors are something that we’re going to explore inside of how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur, which we did yesterday. Okay. so you can get the recording for that below and inside of financially fierce so that you walk away really feeling this in your bones. I want you to just feel, feel that in your bones. You have enough. Now, you know, enough. Now, you have fear, you have shame, you have anxiety. You can take actions today that lead up and compound over time to. That number in your bank account being your network, but you have to change now.

[00:07:46] You have to decide now to change. This is not something that you’re going to wait until next month and next week. You have to change now because if you don’t change now, you will continue having the same results. And I’m sorry, [00:08:00]this is painful for you sometimes to hear, but I believe that you’re capable.

[00:08:04] If you don’t change now, you will continue having the same results. Change doesn’t have to be hard. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming, but it has to happen now. If you want something to change, you have to change, you make a decision, you move forward, you ask, how can I make this work? And you change. So step into your millionaire identity.

[00:08:20] You can feel that semantics in the body and can begin to untangle the different things inside of you, the fear, the shame, the guilt, begin to identify more with she who holds it all. And therefore, yeah, I can be an, I can be a millionaire because when I’m a million, I’m also going to have those problems.

[00:08:38] I’m also going to have fear and shame. It’s not going to change. And then you take action to put yourself in, groups, systems, supportive spaces, work with therapists, work with coaches who help you understand that this is deeply who you are as of today, you don’t need to wait any longer. You’re going to do that inside of financially fierce.

[00:08:58] Can’t wait to see you [00:09:00] there.

[00:00:00] Current information around anxiety around money completely falls short because it misses this one thing. It’s not about healing or understanding. It’s about discerning the difference between incongruence and a fear response.

[00:00:14] in today’s episode, you’re going to learn the number one tool, compass, perspective, and understanding that all anxious and smart entrepreneurs and industry leaders have that helps them make more money with more ease. You’re going to skip months of diving in and understanding your triggers, and you’re going to.

[00:00:32] be able to kind of fast track your way to understanding what your body is telling you and when you need to push forward and make that decision based on that tingling inside of your chest versus when you need to go in, understand that trigger, find safety and do the inner work before you take action on the outer work.

[00:00:53] We’re going to be following along with a client, case study of mine. We’re going to be following along with a story of a client that I recently had. [00:01:00]And the episode is sponsored by Financially Fierce, which is my group program that will help you hold, receive, and circulate more money with more ease so that you can maintain, so that you can be an entrepreneur who is creative and calm and, and cool, calm and collected, resilient, creative, innovative, for a really long time.

[00:01:21] And. It’s also sponsored by how does the assembly make money as an entrepreneur, which is the free embodiment practice that gives you guys a little bit of a sneak peek, a little bit of a snippet into what we do inside of financially fast, the great program. So let’s be in, okay. So we’re kind of following through the story of what we’re doing.

[00:01:40] My client, I’m going to call her Sophie. Her name isn’t Sophie, but I care about her anonymity. Sophie came to me because she was noticing that she was having a lot of all of the nervous system response around money inside of her business and inside of her personal finances as well.

[00:01:56] So she noticed that whenever she started to think [00:02:00] about money, she would feel this kind of tension in her chest and a swelling in her belly, but she didn’t really. Feel it that often. It only happened when she got quiet enough, but she didn’t do that very often because she liked to keep herself busy. She was always feeling like she was really scattered and she was always running around and it felt like she was always kind of putting out fires.

[00:02:21] And of course, you know, she’s an entrepreneur, so there’s always fires to put out if you want there to be fires to put out. She just felt really anxious all of the time and like she couldn’t really get ahead. She wanted to feel calm. She wanted to feel. Save She wanted to feel supported. She wanted her work to be sustainable.

[00:02:37] What’s interesting to know is that even when we started working together in that does final decision around, okay, like am I going to put down the deposit to start working with Sheridan? She went back and forth a lot, and it was really difficult for her. And such a beautiful moment for us in both because I feel like in that moment, her and I were able to find like a deeper [00:03:00]relationship, which then helped us work together for the next six months.

[00:03:03] But she went back and forth a lot because she had this voice telling her, Oh no, like you can do it yourself. You don’t make an investment, like put that money somewhere else. But she also had this internal voice. Pull of, okay, I know that there’s something here for me. I can’t totally explain it. But then she’d go back into the voice of like, yeah, but remember that one time when you put money into something and like, it didn’t work, you didn’t get the results that you wanted, but then she kind of had like this inkling towards me.

[00:03:27] It was hard. I get it. Cause I’ve, I’ve been there and a lot of people that work with me, uh, find themselves there. I find myself there every now and again, just a little bit when I’m looking at larger investments. So she was really courageous and she made the decision to begin working with me, which was really, really lovely.

[00:03:46] And we use the body based business method, regulations, somatic inquiry, and then strategy and anchoring, to move forward. And that’s what I’m going to share with you today. So you really want to listen to this. If you identify

[00:04:00]with being in that place of you have some anxiety around money, you’re not really sure how, what to do to make the most money.

[00:04:09] You really want to do it in an easy and efficient way, I’m going to ask for, Forgiveness in advance, because what I’m about to share with you is going to touch on kind of an epicenter of pain for some of you.

[00:04:23] So if he had that tension in her chest and the swelling in her belly, and of course, we needed to look at it from a place of immediate concern. Ease finding immediate ease. But we had to deal with the fact that she was staying really busy and frantic in order to avoid feeling that way. You guys might notice that you do this, I’ve certainly done this before in my life, where you just kind of fill your calendar.

[00:04:44] You’re like, wow, how did I get so busy? And then that, that moment that morning you have, that’s cool and pa calm and easy. Something feels off and you notice that little feeling, that little nagging inside of like, ah. This is what’s been underneath all the business. [00:05:00] This is what I’ve been trying to avoid.

[00:05:02] So slowly we had to increase her capacity to be with that sensation and so that she didn’t have to say busy and overworked and burnt out so that she could find softness and ease. And then once we found her capacity to be with that sensation, that tension in her chest and that swelling in her belly, which was accompanied by all of the thoughts around what should I do and how should my marketing be?

[00:05:25] And Oh my God, what should I do with my money? We did a somatic inquiry to get to know what we call the body compass, but he was trying to communicate something with her and we needed to understand it better. This is the difference between anxious and smart and successful entrepreneurs and just anxious entrepreneurs.

[00:05:47] Perfectionist entrepreneurs are overworking overthinking entrepreneurs. That trigger that tension, when we found, we found both trigger points and incongruence. [00:06:00] Anxiety is simultaneously a messenger telling you that there is something inside that needs to be looked at. It is a sign that your body thinks that you are in unsafe or lacking safety when perhaps you are not.

[00:06:14] It is also a messenger from the world, from your future self or from the universe or, or from somatic intelligence or intuition, giving you the exact steps that you need in the exact moment to get to where you really want to be. If you’re regulated and if you know how to use it, it is a very difficult thing to learn, to navigate that requires practice and patience and curiosity.

[00:06:41] That’s why I’m asking you to understand the nuance here, but it is a podcast, so I need to speak a little bit in black and white. So sometimes it is a trigger. What we found when we went inside, we found Sophie had three consistent responses. So I think that. You’ll resonate with either one of these or all of them, perhaps.

[00:07:00] So we went inside and we found that these, these feelings and these scenarios around money. So she had like some ad spend that she wanted to do. She had to look at her taxes. She would do a bookkeeping pretty regularly. obviously she wanted to invest in having support and it was, she also had this big dream and desire to make more money.

[00:07:19] She like wanted to make money. Valid. And it was triggering a tension in her chest that was triggering a part of her that was kind of saying, well, if I make more money, then I’m going to need to give it away. And in response to that voice, she would just avoid all of the tasks that would help her to make more money.

[00:07:39] Because this part of her thought, well, I better avoid those tasks because on the other side, I’m going to have more money and then I’m going to have to give it away. And I’m going to be so tired because I did a little work, but I didn’t get any of the money.

[00:07:47] And then that would flip. And sometimes it would appear she would look at a spreadsheet and she would look at a taxes in particular, cause that’s kind of confusing to a lot of us. And she, I just, I can’t do this. She would

[00:08:00]completely collapse and she would have this freeze response and everything would feel heavy and she would procrastinate and things would start to feel helpless.

[00:08:07] And she would start looking at LinkedIn and say, Oh, maybe I could apply for those jobs. It would just, I can’t do this. I don’t have enough. This will never work. I can’t, I can’t. And like you and I have both been there. It’s tiring and sad just being in a place of like, I can’t even some people, even you as you’re listening to this, you might be in a place of like, I just, I can’t, I can’t figure it out.

[00:08:30] I can’t see a way. This is a freeze response. My baby, this is like my love. This is a freeze response. There’s always a way forward. Another way that this appeared for Sophie was , she was really judgmental towards herself and she had this like loud inner critic, I just began noticing it really judgmental towards other people. And particularly around like what type of clothes they would wear, things they would spend their money on, how much they would charge her partner’s [00:09:00] friend asked for a raise for quite a large amount of money. And they sat and they just like really judged him and she was really judgmental towards herself.

[00:09:07] Like you shouldn’t want that because you shouldn’t even eat that because, and this was her fight response. Sometimes it would fight against the world and judge others and be angry at the world. And sometimes it would fight against her and judge herself and be angry at herself.

[00:09:22] Her buddy was going into a fight response because it didn’t feel like it was safe. Why didn’t it feel like it was safe? Because she was consciously pursuing more money. But in her past, her father had been taken advantage of. When he got a raise, he ended up in a situation where he had more money for a period of life and all his friends thought, Oh, well now that, now that George has more money, you know, like I’m entitled to it.

[00:09:44] And then they would judge him because of his car. So she had this feeling and this lived experience of being judged and being kind of objectified because she had more money. And so it was creating inside of her hostility. Like her inner critic was

[00:10:00] on steroids. And so on one hand, we had to go in and we had to look at these different parts and we had to create the internal safety that made them soften.

[00:10:09] And each different part, each different nervous system response needed a different thing. So we had to get curious. I mean, we found that thing. And on the other side, she created safety that allowed us to understand the wisdom that was in the system. beneath the swelling in our belly. So once we were able to kind of dissipate that fear response of like, Oh, okay.

[00:10:32] Yeah. Having money is actually like totally cool. It’s totally safe. Once we’ve normalized that we’ve made that feel safe inside of the bunny body. Now we get access to the intuition and the wisdom and the exact somatic pathway to success. And we found that I’m skipping ahead or maybe a little bit for all of you, but I care about making this It’s easy and efficient for you.

[00:10:57] We found that she was incongruent,

[00:11:00] just like you are sometimes, just like I am somewhere. She’d all this moments where she would say that she values her health, that she was not investing in her retirement for herself in the future to maintain her health. She was not investing in the things that would give her sustainable health.

[00:11:17] And so of course she was feeling swelly in her belly because before she could invest in that next call, she needed to put aside some money. for her health. She wanted to have kids and like, it’s okay. What’s your plan in your country? What, what is the best thing for you? Do you need to save for that prior?

[00:11:34] She said like consciously, she said that she valued personal transformation, personal responsibility, but she had numerous moments where she walked through life without a coach or a professional support system.

[00:11:48] And that just wasn’t creating the environment where she was able to take personal responsibility and able to have transformation. So yeah, she felt anxious about it. Her body felt off. She would look at her

[00:12:00] money. She would look at where it’s going. And there was like a, this isn’t quite right. Something is off.

[00:12:05] And she was able to access that query quickly, very, very quickly. As soon as we created that safety inside and got her really good at reading her buddy compass. Inquiry, which is what we practice together. Additionally, she said that she valued the environment, but she was doing all these things that were not supporting the environment, you know, when you’re doing this.

[00:12:27] You say you value all the things, you say you are this person, you say that you want to be where you are, but you stay, but you stick with the same things that you did last month that didn’t get you where you are, it’s the end of the month again, and you didn’t change anything. And she was feeling that she was completely out of integrity.

[00:12:46] She said she wanted to change, but she wasn’t doing anything to change it. She was running. Busy, keeping herself busy doing all the things, all the things, putting her money in all the places apart from where it would be most

[00:13:00]effective. And so she couldn’t really explain it, but when she started working with me, she knew that that was the journey to everything coming together.

[00:13:09] But it was similar to other moments where she didn’t understand why, but like a piece of her knew like, this is where everything comes together. This time, of course, her brain got scared and doubted herself. This was very true because. You know, when she, when we started working together, she got really good at creating safety inside and then listening to that intuition and that intelligence.

[00:13:32] There was a decision one time that she’s like, I don’t know what this is, but this is that, that specific feeling that I get when I know on the other side that I have to do this very specific thing and I don’t understand why, but I know it’s going to make me money. Guess what? She went to a three day festival.

[00:13:45] She just like hung out at the festival. That was the investment. It didn’t make any sense. It was a freaking dance festival. She left that festival with her highest paying client of her entire life, who happens to also now be her best friend. That’s freaking cool. That’s embodiment. She feels [00:14:00]aligned.

[00:14:00] She feels regulated. She feels connected to everything. So I cannot give you a checklist to read. I want to teach you how to learn to read your compass. You need to read your compass. You will learn to do that inside of financially fierce, which is the upcoming group program where we learn to hold, receive, circulate more money so that you can be an entrepreneur for as long as you desire so that you can be embodied and vibrant and excited for as long as you desire, you’re going to get a taste of how that feels inside of how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur. [00:00:00] The boss babe community has lied to you, making you believe that the more boss you are, the more success you will achieve. Then the soft girl culture went the other way and said, the more you relax and embody success, the easier it will become. Neither are true. . In this podcast, I’m not going to ask you to just relax and chill out because I know that that just sends you further in your head.

[00:00:36] We are going to dive into the downfall of the bus babe culture and both the soft girl culture and address the nervous season, re nervous system. Reasons why. Hi achievers, such as you, such as me get sucked into the idea that we are meant to do it all by ourselves, or we just end up doing it by ourselves because it feels better.

[00:00:57] It feels safer. We’re going to look at how [00:01:00] this makes receiving support, guidance, and even money the hardest part of your life and why the opposite of what boss, boss babes say, hustle and success , happens. It actually ends up happening. That was not articulate. Why? Well, the Boss Babe Soul Culture says, which is like this.

[00:01:21] Be that person, work really hard, get it all done, actually creates the exact opposite, which is scarcity and overworking.

[00:01:29] Cutting right to the chase. I have a client, I have a couple of clients and we’ve been looking at this over the past couple of months. They’re working with me inside a body based business and body based business is my one month. It’s a six month one on one coaching program where we build a sustainable business using somatic intelligence.

[00:01:48] It has three pillars, number one, nervous system regulation, number two, trauma healing, and number three, , systems and, , kind of anchoring and actions and making momentum. So the second pillar is the

[00:02:00]trauma healing. And I found with two or three clients over the past six months that this pillar was coming up with this very, similar pattern.

[00:02:10] It’s one that I’ve recognized as well in myself. And back when I was doing OCD coaching, I noticed it a lot, but it was manifesting a little bit more in romantic partnerships. They will like, like these, in the romantic partnership it manifests as you feel like you’re always kind of like in charge of your partner.

[00:02:26] It feels like they never really, Are doing enough. , maybe you can be a little bit nitpicky, you can be a little bit criticizing. It feels like maybe they don’t have a vision or a plan. And you kind of feel like you have to like take control of everything or take responsibility of the house and the money and all of the things and even like do the emotional labor and like you begin to feel really exhausted.

[00:02:46] There’s a mirror for that inside of your business, which is you end up pushing away money and pushing away support because of a really, really underlying factor, which is Often, [00:03:00] as cliche as it sounds, a part of you feels that it would be either dangerous to be supported because it’s very vulnerable, or you don’t believe that you are worthy of receiving some level of ease or money or like just goodness in life.

[00:03:17] I noticed this in myself lately. I have like this, I did a podcast episode on it just recently. I think it’s going to be number 137. I’ll link it down below. And it was really, really vulnerable because I’m like at this place where I have an amazing living situation. I have amazing relationships. , I have amazing work life balance since I stopped sharing so much of my private, uh, private stuff, , on the internet.

[00:03:39] I have amazing finances. Like I, I get to go travel. Like I have all these freaking, my health is great. I have all these amazing things. And I, I catch myself like what, at least once a week crying because it’s so good. It’s so intense.

[00:03:54] It’s like, Oh my God, this is so good. I just, it’s like too much. I just almost like, there’s a part of me that’s like, I don’t know if I can deal with

[00:04:00] this. It’s so good. And I will, I will literally cry like consistently because of that. And I noticed this in my clients as well. They were pushing away support.

[00:04:11] You would try and support them and then no, no, I don’t need it. Their partner would try and support them. No, no, no, I don’t need it. And they had this underlying narrative of I can do this myself. If I can do this myself, I should do this. If I can do it, I will do it. I need to do it. And there was almost kind of a lot of shame around actually wanting support.

[00:04:33] Meanwhile, there’s a part of you inside. There’s, there’s a part of you inside. There’s a part of my clients inside. There’s been a part of me inside screaming. I just need, I just want some help see me. I just want some help because in the past being vulnerable enough to receive support, Maybe you were taken advantage of, maybe your vulnerability and your innocence was taken advantage of, or maybe you were told that you were of more value

[00:05:00] if you could do all the things, maybe in your society, your culture, your family, , women who were educated and had a, , degree as far as everything who had like a really wonderful job and a paycheck and also thin and also pretty and also doing all these things.

[00:05:17] Maybe they were the ones that were celebrated and somewhere along the line you thought, well, I have to be all those things too, to be worthy or, or maybe there was a time where somebody. was kind to you. And then they utilize that against you. When they left, you opened yourself up to receive some type of love, some type of guidance, some type of support.

[00:05:42] And perhaps they took advantage of you. I see this in financial abuse from parents. I see this in spiritual trauma from spiritual people, spiritual organizations taking advantage of you. Or maybe you just decided at some point that it was just better if you did [00:06:00] everything yourself. And that happens sometimes in you, like you just do it or yourself.

[00:06:07] I noticed this, it’s worth mentioning that sometimes we, we have a really good experience with a coach and we think that we should have, like, we have a good experience. We like working with them and then we believe that we shouldn’t go back to work with them because we should be like, okay, now, like we shouldn’t need their support anymore.

[00:06:30] And so we step away from, you know, relationships that bring more ease into our life because we think that we need to do it all ourself. And I just want to name that and say, if that’s you go back to that person, receive that support. If it worked for you, let yourself, let it be easy. You are deserving of ease.

[00:06:52] And now we can go into, and in financially fierce, we will go into actually the embodied practices that help you feel that

[00:07:00]you’re deserving of ease for now. I’m just going to say it because That’s the scope of this podcast, but what we’re doing when you join, how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur, or when you DM me money audit, you get your money audit, or you, when you join financially fierce, or when you join body based business, when you’re working with me, we’re going to create these practice environments where.

[00:07:21] You don’t have to be so independent all the time. You can receive support and baby, you can relax, you can rest, you can release your belly, you can soften. And as a result, you’re going to begin to see how much everyone wants to support you, how much joy it brings others to help you, and how good things can get.

[00:07:43] Because trust me, you have barely even touched the tip of the iceberg. Next steps moving forward is go back and listen to the podcast that I haven’t named or numbered. I’ll put it down below, like my really vulnerable share about, feeling like we need to be a certain way in order to have financial stability.

TRANSCRIPT:

[00:00:00] Today’s episode comes from a listener request to answer a specific question. If you have a specific question you would like to ask, please DM me on Instagram. I’ll put my Instagram below so that you can do that. I would love to answer it. So the question is, I have an online business that depends on marketing through social media.

[00:00:18] Therefore analytics are important. And when I don’t get feedback and good engagement, I find myself wavering in my conviction to walk this path. How can I become more resilient to this so that I don’t. So that I stopped doubting and keep moving forward towards my vision. Hands up. If you felt this, can you like put a little emoji in the comments below or something, if you felt this, or even just let me know on Instagram that you’ve, that you resonate because I’ve definitely been there we’re going to look at this through the pillars of body

[00:01:00] based business. So there’s regulation, trauma healing, and strategy. That way you’re going to walk away from this episode with a tangible thing that you can do today. To feel more resilient, stop doubting, keep moving forward and take care of your business as analytics and engagement so that you can address the underlying unconscious, nervous, hidden patterns that are creating this wavering.

[00:01:23] And then we’re going to look at how to strategically change things inside of the business so that this isn’t something that you have to kind of bump up against so much. I’m going to give some fairly broad, uh, recommendations. If we were sitting on a coaching call, I would go a lot deeper because I would have somebody to speak with, but it’s just me today.

[00:01:45] Let’s look first at what’s happening and why we’re in this predicament or why we’re in this pattern. What’s happening is that our nervous system is always looking to things that tell us that we’re safe and that tell us that we’re loved.

[00:02:00] Engagement, likes, um, comments and analytics, they tend to do a really good job at telling us that we’re liked, at telling us that we’re loved.

[00:02:09] That little like button, that comment button, it feels like somebody’s approving of you. Somebody agrees. It’s like, Oh yeah, it’s that little validation that so many of us have been looking for, especially if you’re coming from a place where it’s been difficult to express yourself or you’re sharing something that feels vulnerable.

[00:02:26] And so it’s really valid that you would be in this place. It makes sense that your nervous system is orienting and utilizing when it does go the way that you want as validation of yourself and your dreams and reassurance that things are going really well, reassurance that you’re going to get to your goals.

[00:02:45] You’ve put a lot of time and energy and money to these goals. So it makes sense that your body would be finding a I’m looking for ways to reaffirm and reassure you. That’s really beautiful. However, when we

[00:03:00]notice that the things outside go not according to plan, or we are lacking a certain engagement or analytic or something, uh, it can put us into that place of doubt.

[00:03:12] Did I do enough? Did I do it the right way? Is my vision makes sense? It’s not a problem, it’s just not super helpful because that doubt makes it, you know, this cause like you’re experiencing it. It’s like that doubt. Now I have to go and spend time getting back to that level of confidence instead of spending time and energy looking at how to help the business get to the correct people in the right way.

[00:03:42] And bring in the revenue. Once again, there’s nothing wrong with this. It’s just, is it the most helpful? So how do we come more resilient to these changes and these analytics and things so that you can stop doubting and keep moving forward, but at the same time, we need to address that the business

[00:04:00]does need people to look at it.

[00:04:01] We need people coming in. You do need to market. So the first one is regulation. If you guys don’t already have my nervous system regulation PDF for tools, tips, tricks for when you are low on privacy space or time on how to regulate, you definitely need that. Um, but you need to find those in the moment regulations that make sense for you.

[00:04:23] I had a client yesterday, she shared that it was really helpful to do a cold shower after a call because that like gave her her nervous system the reset that she needed. I have another client who really likes to do inner child meditations, he’ll experience he, he told me the other week about how like one of his websites went down and he felt like this.

[00:04:46] He’s like, okay, I felt this tension in my chest, so I stepped away and I did an inner child meditation. Okay. I’m feeling scared. And I just spoke really nicely to my inner child. And then I came back and I, I fixed the website situation. That would be an example of an in the moment regulation. [00:05:00]You’re in the moment.

[00:05:00] Regulation might be other things such as not drinking so much coffee before you have a look at your reels or your engagements, not, um, looking at them until after you have moved and looking at them after you go to Pilates so that you’re in that really high energy calm space regulation. We can use breath.

[00:05:21] We can use movement. We can use essential oils. but in the moment regulation. Once you’re there, let’s start looking at the deeper underlying patterns that are causing you to need to be regulated so that you don’t need to focus so much energy on regulation. My question to this individual would be, why are you doubting?

[00:05:42] How is this doubt pattern serving you? When have you done it in the past? And on the contrary, What thing about possibly being so unapologetically confident in yourself would feel really scary, [00:06:00] or really weird, or really different? And I would actually do an embodiment practice about feeling into being the person who is so resilient that those things are just like, you just, water slides off your back.

[00:06:10] It’s just not, it’s a non event. That identity change, that embodiment, being that person. How does that feel? Does it feel sticky? Does it feel icky? Does there like a, like a resistance? Is it possible to access that version of yourself that just is more resilient? Sometimes there’s going to be like a block and we need to like kill some of the reasons or address some of the reasons why it’s difficult to embody and be that version of yourself and sometimes it’s just a practice and we just need to practice being that person more.

[00:06:44] Being that more resilient person. Inside of body based business, which is my one on one coaching, we do get access to ease, which is a nervous system cost on resilience. And we go, we understand a little bit more of this. Resilience is being able to bounce back [00:07:00] from something with effectiveness, efficiency, and ease.

[00:07:02] It’s not, not being triggered. So when I talk about being that resilient person, we have to acknowledge that doesn’t mean that you’re not going to be, you’re not going to have feelings of doubt. It’s like, yes. Okay. But that resilient person, when she experiences doubt and she, Waves in her own conviction.

[00:07:19] How does she respond to it? What does she make it mean? Something that’s been really helpful for me is like I had a inner child healing session with myself and it became very clear that when I have these thoughts, they’re all thoughts and I can witness them and see them almost like drip and dribble out of me.

[00:07:39] But I am that new version of myself and the other thoughts just pause. So when we go and we do the somatic healing, we do the, the parts work and we do the embodiment, we do the movement. Usually we had access to a little piece of wisdom like that that comes from you that will give you a little bit of insight on how to be that person.[00:08:00]

[00:08:00] And then how do we set up your business so that it doesn’t matter so much. So maybe you actually have somebody else that Look at those analytics, or maybe you look at those analytics with your coach so that you’re being held inside of that container because we do, or maybe we only look at them once a month and the rest, we just let it go.

[00:08:16] We do want to be looking at engagement, looking analytics, understanding what works so that we can do more of that, but we don’t need to be exposing you to triggers. All of the time, it just may not be helpful. So either get some support with it, take it to your coach, do it with your coach. Um, do it with your best, maybe not your best friend.

[00:08:38] I feel like sometimes I can be not super supportive. Um, um, sometimes it is do it in a way, like how can you structure it? Or maybe you don’t actually need to look at all, or maybe you don’t use so much social media. Maybe you do more email stuff, or maybe you do more in person stuff. What is going to be the easiest.

[00:08:57] way for you to keep track of your [00:09:00] marketing without it triggering these wounds. All in all, kind of like, what’s the easiest and can you do that? Anyway, you’re going to love episode number.

[00:09:14] So as it relates to being and holding that more resilient person of your version of yourself, make sure that you listen to episode number 130. It’s called why money security requires more than just thinking abundant thoughts. It really focuses on understanding why traditional approaches to abundance might be keeping you stuck in financial insecurity and how to tap into a deeper sense of internal security or resilience that transcends all of the fluctuations.

[00:09:41] We will share, I share practical techniques to shift your focus from anxiety to actionable steps that will positively impact your financial situation as an embodied entrepreneur. Enjoy that. Much love to you. Links below. Speak to you soon.

[00:00:00] You’re trying really hard to increase your income. You’ve tried all the things and your motivation is a waning. I’m not about to give you some quick, cute pep talk. I’m about to give you something that creates deeper, lasting results. You that have so that you have less of these moments in the rest of your career.

[00:00:16] By the end of this episode, you will know why this slump or this lack of motivation is feeling so intense. I know that you can tell that it’s something deeper than slump. What you’ve been looking at so far, and you’re going to understand how that relates to your understanding to the divine masculine, and you’re going to have a solution.

[00:00:52] To alleviate your lack of motivation in a way that is deep, grounded, [00:01:00]long lasting and actionable from today.

[00:01:03] I get it. You’re doing a lot of things. You’re probably like creating or working really hard to create really good content. Maybe you’ve hired a VA. Uh, maybe you’ve joined like a program because you wanted accountability because you were lacking focus. Maybe you’re really focusing on getting the right for you.

[00:01:19] funnel. Uh, maybe you’re starting to feel like a tension between, okay, I need to like get some things done. I need to bring in some income and it’s starting to feel really unsupportive. Maybe you’ve been in this for a couple of years or maybe you’re starting out, but either way, you, you just feel like something is off and maybe you resonate with having ADHD or maybe you resonate with having a past of trauma.

[00:01:49] Maybe you don’t, but what you do know is that things tend to go better when you focus on a holistic approach. That sounds like you keep listening. If it doesn’t, you may not be in the right

[00:02:00] place. I love you anyway. So I am a somatic trauma therapist and I specialize in working with entrepreneurs. And if you’re feeling these things and you’re pulled to this episode, I can tell you that possibly most likely your business might be activating your father wound or at least some sticky dynamics that you have around.

[00:02:21] Money or action. We’re looking at one of the two and the more that you and I get to know each other And the more that you listen to this content the more that you come to the master classes Then we chat on DMS and the more it the easier it’s going to be to differentiate Which it is but some of them most of the symptoms are really Overlapping.

[00:02:40] I’m going to name some of the most common symptoms of a trigger father wound or some ickiness around money. And I’m going to be referencing the same ones that I have on side of the father wound flow chart. If you do not have the father wound flow chart, and you’d like to follow along with a visual support for this podcast episode, please leave me a message on Instagram.

[00:02:59] Just [00:03:00] saying a flow chart and I’ll get that to you. You don’t need it to listen to the rest of the podcast. Okay. I just really like, you know, I’m a visual person, so I appreciate it when people also share their, their podcast notes, which is essentially what that flowchart is. It’s the most comprehensive way that I’ve shown that I’ve seen that shows how we can get to the deeper root cause of the reasons why we’re experiencing these symptoms.

[00:03:24] I’m calling them symptoms. I don’t know how you feel about that word, whatever. Anyway, so some of the common symptoms of a father wound or a triggered attachment style around money is that you are attracting codependent coaching relationships. So you’re placing your sense of success or work worth on how your clients respond, or you feel really responsible for their results.

[00:03:44] Maybe you find them, maybe you find yourself getting triggered when they’re kind of sharing a lot of information with you, and it feels like boundaries are kind of broken. Missed like mixed. It’s difficult to hold boundaries. Maybe you have difficulty focusing or restlessness [00:04:00] and you might have a bit of a weird, I don’t want to say weird, but like a difficult relationship with goals and discipline, meaning that at the end of the month, you often don’t actually achieve what you desire.

[00:04:12] And it feels like you’re kind of almost behind. Perhaps you’re the type of person who jumps to solve problems in the future. You’re already thinking about what could go wrong in September, in the middle of June, maybe. Maybe you tend to be a little bit of a perfectionist. You want to be perfect. You want the people around you to be perfect.

[00:04:37] Your content has to be perfect. If you have a, uh, assistant, maybe you tend to micromanage or you struggle to delegate or you’re just doing everything all by yourself because you’re worried you’re kind of living under that. If you want it right, do it yourself type thing. Um, or you struggle to get things done because they’re, they’re not right.

[00:04:55] You work a lot, you push yourself, you work till exhaustion, you struggle to know [00:05:00] when to rest. You Feeling okay, resting. And you also tend to use energy on things that do not have a high, um, ROI. So don’t give you a good return on your energetic investment. It’s a lot of the time that’s like implementing every thought that you have.

[00:05:16] If you’re a healing person, you like, like to heal and you’ve been in the healing space for a while, you probably have been following and staying on this healing hamster wheel and often prioritizing working through your triggers and emotions at the expense of action that supports your dreams. Not saying we need to be avoidant about it, but there is also like a healthy level of boundaries around healing versus doing some of the work.

[00:05:44] Other symptoms might include not having a healthy sense of confidence to pursue your dreams. So you feel incapable. You feel like you couldn’t, you shame yourself. You’re like, I should have been further along by now. I don’t know if I can do this. She can do it. But like, could I, it’s feels [00:06:00]really hard to like, Yeah, it just feels like impossible.

[00:06:03] Sometimes you also might be hypersensitive or hyper vigilant to other people’s actions. What did they do? Did they click on this? What did they say? I had this call with this person, but she hasn’t emailed me in three months or three weeks or three days. What does that mean? Um, maybe you like check your engagement like every day or check your analytics.

[00:06:21] Um, you’re like checking your income goal really regularly and it’s not coming from a place in my apartment. It’s like you’re scared. You also might be ready to give up. And you might have thoughts like either I sign this client or I do the business or either I make 5k this week or I do, or I just give up.

[00:06:39] You might also have a sticky relationship with social media, meaning like you do those hiatuses or you like delete the app every couple of days or you do a mass unfollowing. Um, maybe you feel like triggered when you look, you can’t open your app without feeling triggered or you feel like people are going to judge you.

[00:06:59] Um, let’s look [00:07:00] at exactly how and why these things are happening for many people. It’s because your father wound or your divine masculine wound, or we can use different words. It’s all the underlying nervous system orientation and the way that the way that we use the words changes how each person responds.

[00:07:21] And I want you to use words that are empowering for you, but essentially what’s happening is that you’re engaging in things that are related to that. more active activities and activities that relate to performance productivity goals, strength, decisiveness protection,

[00:07:37] because your nervous system isn’t really sure how and how to access the healthier qualities. Of that, such as focus, such as, um, diligence, such as discipline, such as internal boundaries. Okay. We’re not going to do that right now. We’re going to do that at 5 p. m. Okay. That’s a really great idea. We don’t need to act on

[00:08:00] it.

[00:08:00] Look at that. Okay. Speak to yourself with love because you’re struggling to access that. You’re struggling to create a sense of embodied safety and unconditional love. And you’re struggling to have the energy inside to be motivated. Yeah. This isn’t about you not listening to an a podcast or not being disciplined enough.

[00:08:18] This is because your nervous system is looking to other things for safety and it’s preoccupied. with what your friends think of you, what other people think of you. It’s preoccupied with your relationships. It’s preoccupied with, , your analytics, like searching for, uh, superficial Signposts of safety and validation and love.

[00:08:48] We want social media to be like this. I think if I perfect this thing, then it will be like this. If I, uh, it would feel really constrictive to not act on all of my ideas. [00:09:00] It would feel really, really scary if my engagement wasn’t great. And if every reel didn’t do great, so I have to spend two hours on it.

[00:09:06] It would feel really, really scary if I wasn’t perfect. So I need to heal myself before I can send out this next email. Because your body doesn’t have anybody sense of safety and unconditional love. When you have that sense of safety and unconditional love, you adore your clients. You don’t have hard clients.

[00:09:25] Goals are exciting and joyful. You have that energy of achievement. It follows you around. You’re so present and appreciative your entire life. You don’t have to think so much about the future and you can put energy into your business. You’re not worried about being perfect. You’re very happy to go out and be imperfective, imperfect without sacrificing your high standards.

[00:09:44] So you have more satisfaction and less stress. It becomes easier to get your tasks done because you’re focused on them. And then you disconnect and there’s no push. You just disconnect and like, go do other things. And you also have the discerning and the wisdom and [00:10:00] analytical thinking to pinpoint your focus, identify the actions that have the highest return on investment, and then put your creativity into that.

[00:10:08] And while your interest in self development doesn’t necessarily waver, it’s not like you need to spend hours in your emotions. Instead, you balance them with decisive action, and so you’re able to feel the depth of the beauty of who you are and your emotions, but also make tangible process towards your dreams.

[00:10:26] There’s this deep sense of equanimity, and I’m safe, and I’m capable, and I’m grounded that, like, literally, it’s like, Eat seeds into your bones so that you can respond to other people’s actions or even your business’s needs, engagement, analytics, marketing, all of that stuff with commerce. You can say goodbye to thoughts about giving up and hello to creative problem solving where you get to have your beautiful business, your expression, your legacy and financial stability.

[00:10:54] You don’t find motivation by looking for motivation. You go underneath. You [00:11:00] find your unique flavor of the father wound. You create. love and support inside. And so then all of these ups and downs, they get to dissipate. But how, how do you do that today?

[00:11:14] What do you do with that today? You’re going to do two things. The first thing you’re going to do is you’re going to click down below and you’re going to sign up for how to sustainably make money as an entrepreneur. I’m going to teach you anybody in my practice that is going to help you. alleviate the, um, slumps, sales slumps and emotional ups and downs that can come or lack of motivation that can come. Then. You’re going to start thinking about what would unconditional positive regard unconditional love for myself in all moments? What would that look and feel like? There’s a part of you that judges, there’s a part of you that wants to be perfect, there’s a part of you that analyzes. Can you zoom out and love that part of you?

[00:11:53] Can you zoom out and And for positive regard towards that part of you practice that [00:12:00] I’m really curious to know how that lands. This is usually something that I would share inside of a coaching call. So I’m curious to know how it lands. Practice that. Let me know if it feels accessible. Let me know if it feels doable.
